When I see 1 or 2 of my teammates go off by themselves and then see them proceed to attack the enemies up close and personal.

Or when I'm in a lobby and see a Vanguard.

You can usually tell when wave three is unreasonably difficult.

Or the first banshee takes like 5 minutes to kill, and you realize that the best you can hope for is the wave 6 money and then try to end the misery as fast as possible.

I've been in lots of games where people die in the first couple waves but pull it together in the later ones. The early waves are easy.

krogan is interchangable with level 15-20 vanguards

For me, it's when you're pretty far in to a silver or gold match and you hear "THERE ARE SOME PRIORITY TARGETS NEARBY" because you know what that means? That you're going to have a minute to kill a Banshee surrounded by other Banshees.

Everytime I lose a silver match it's usually from something like this.

Usually when I see all players running around randomly on the first wave, as if they were on fire or something. At that moment I already know that this game will be quick, especially on silver AND with reapers...

For me, it's when we have to hack, and I'm the only one within the hacking circle, and my other team members are sitting halfway across the map sniping things.

Or I see a vanguard charge a Banshee or Brute and then get instakilled.

Or I'm doing a silver challenge and all the other characters are below level ten with fairly low N7 ranks, as well.

Also, seeing a lvl 6 Battlefield 3 soldier in the lobby with an N7 rating of 6. I run when I see that. I run far, far away

Then they ragequit because we eventually stop running out to revive their corpse that's surrounded by pyros and hunters

When I figure out the map is starting and I'm not sure which character I loaded in with.

- People run off alone.
- Realize that people are using weapons that don't belong on their class. (For example Sniper+Assault rifle on an adept)
- Waste missiles.
- By round 3-4 I have more than 2x the score of half my team.

It's worse when you're outscoring the rest of your team combined. As soon as you go down, there goes ~2/3 of your team's DPS
