Yes they work, but not on 6 big guys right on top of you full health and with instant kill abilities.

i'm guilty of this. i didn't evvn think of it until after the match and i was like duh i could have cleared it out with the rocket launcher...for some reason my brain didn't register that fact during the mission.

I hate the ’check your fire!’ shouts with a passion because of the above situation, seriously, where’s friendly fire when you want it?

People wasting heavy weapons, if there’s no timer just use normal weapons.

I will tell you what I tell all snipers.

Quit wasting time picking headshots. Body shot those I stagger, miss or knock down.

And GTFO of cover when I move on and follow me. There's no point staying there when the only targets that are going to show up will be at your flank. This ain't CoD where you can sit in a sniper perch all game.

When the Vanguard drops outta the game because the Krogan is 'kill stealing' at long range with a Revenant. (that'd be me, the Krogan)

And Hyrist is right, though I'd say GTFI cover when you're looking at a target rich environment. You'll make a smaller target and not get me splashed with a rocket/Ravager Barrage. This isn't CoD where sprinting around with a shotgun in the baldass open is still considered a good idea :P

Another example:
When you have a person covered on either side of a doorway and someone decides to just STAND in the middle when they know rockets/ravager barrages are coming in constantly. Why? because he'll get all three of you killed.

When you reach round 10 with 15+ revives, and all but your lone Quarian is left standing to solo two banshees, two brutes and marauders/husks. Burning all medi-gel, all your Cobra Shots and running around the map for 15 minutes.

Survive. Reach last round and suddenly everyone has multiple Cobra shots they decide to waste....and you are still the only one left standing at extraction...

-player who dies on wave 1 and leaves the game
-the rest of the team doesn't want to do objectives (i just ignore the objective in these cases so they learn that you lose when an objective is not completed)
-people who just die too often. its ok to get killed, but when the rest of the team is doing fine and you are dropping 5 times a wave, you just have to play more careful man.
-using a rocket on a heavy enemy...when that enemy is already half dead. why waste a rocket on an atlas with 2 blocks of armor left?

i just wait a little i have finished gold games that in the first 3 vaes we had multiples dead and revives and then things get better and we finish solid.. but sometimes i just go for bad to terrible.

a little safeguard is not to bring lvl 9 or less to silver or gold, i have no problem with lvl 1 in bronze but lvl 1 in silver or gold is just wrong, they get almost 1 shooted and people tries to save them and they die to.

- when people with N7 100+ die on silver on wave 2 more then 4 times in 1 minute...

- when no one goes for the objective except you

- when no one uses any equipment except you

- when no one uses rocket launcher even when 2 banshees and 2 brutes are right in front of you

- when no one cares if a team mate is down

- when everyone plays for himself

random enemy is reapers even on bronze level they cack you and your entire team.

team mates refuse to work together and run off trying to get the most kills instead of working in a team of four or at least teams of two, to keep everyone alive.

people getting in the way of a sniper shot or whatever gun you are firing on purpose instead of getting the hell out of the way, again trying to get the most kills.

we all do, I know I do at least.
I'm trying to drill it into myself. I like knowing I can beat a banshee, brute, prime or atlas without them.
However it's a matter of odds, unlimited waves players going down, use a Cobra or two.
Bronze it does not really matter, silver I'm seeing a lot of wave 10 objective rounds getting the team wiped out.
Every other round take your time, those rounds clear quickly and with maximum force.

Unless Bioware changes the unlimited waves so that greater numbers of lesser foes attack.
Then we'll be seeing 2, 4, 6, 8 big 'uns coming at once constantly.

If by wave 5 I double the score of the next highest person on the team.

Someone's not doing their fair share of work.

Not always true in some cases. Try going with a team of adepts there always gonna be someone that has at least double the score of someone else. Also how about those salarians that protect your flank from multiple banshees and brutes while the rest of your team is killing other stuff.

- People don't bother to revive you or others
- People run in and steal your kills like the ignorant sods they are
- When I see a Vanguard rush off with Biotic charge into a large group of enemies then they end up wasting missles or going down, no matter the level the Vangaurds I been with seem to be total pricks and think they can take on Atlas', Brute's etc alone =l

Depending.

My hope is that if I'm in the thick of things, with the proper support, everyone else can afford to not stay huddeled behind cover as much, (meaning they're spending more time firing from cover rather than ideling in cover due to supression fire. More bullets are going the enemy's way, they die faster.

For a Vanguard, it's VERY hard to get adaquate cover after that first charge is comitted without fire support. Thus the charge/nova spam. That's not so much for damage as it is for the invincibility frames, shield regard, and mass AoE stagger/fling.

Now I have two differing Human Vanguards:

One specalizes in the typical Charge - Nova, going Area Charge and full Damage/Cooldown Nova. This gives the most staggering and damage per timeframe to help keep the amount of time I'm stuck in the thick of it to a minmum. It also primarily serves as my heavy damage Vanguard for when I'm in a group that dosen't have much firepower damage.

My other Human Vanguard is a supressionist. Fully leveled Lift Shockwave with Half-Nova (contemplating no-shield loss here.) I take the hit in fitness rather than shockwave and focus as a support. Using Nova primarily as a detonator and charge PURELY as a recharge/repositioning tool.

I use this one primarily if there are other Vanguards, or I notce we have plenty of heavy hitters in the group and I'm still wanting to play Vanguard.

Only other one I've got unlocked right now is Asari Vanguard, which I haven't quite locked down a tactic for yet.

I bet their match went well... ;P

Wait, I remember that lobby, I was the 4th guy who didn't put a kick against you... I just left too, after you left. ^_^

Awesome :D
I dont think we missed much in there, I went and joined a silver game instead. I died in the first 30 seconds thanks to a distraction, but I picked myself up and we went on to clear it. So in a way it was good that that guy didnt want me in his game lol :D

kill stealing is a joke unless your setting up combo's and there are other enemies to kill near it. if its the last enemy in a group or wave who cares who kills it, its dead we can move on or win.

also alot of vanguards arent trying to solo a heavy they are  trying to distract it in hopes the rest of the team will kill it. using their immunity to keep everything from shooting everyone else. ya there are dumb vangaurds that are 2 miles away ALL the time that deserve to die. but if they are with the team the whole time and end up somewhere goofy once in awhile it may be because they panic charged when they are dieing or they are trying to get an enemy or two thats about to flank the team.

on another note, im sick of Infiltrators on hack objectives cloaking and running 2 miles away when it gets hairy and they try to solo kill 1 or 2 enemies that are chasing them that are half a mile away from said Infiltrator. mean while the other 3 are getting swarmed and dieing and he doesnt even try to get to them and revive after enemies clear out chasing the last guy running for his life because he is 2 miles away from his team.

also at least try to kill at least one guy thats campimg my face when you revive cause that enemy will most likely kill me again when it punch staggers me to death while the other one is shooting/nading me." just run!!" the reviver says but when staggered you might as well be grabbed by a banshee.

i hardly play vangaurd but i have played it enough to understand what the good one's are doing. The Infiltrator thing gets on my nerves no matter what class im playing. also all class's that wont try to hold a choke point with every one else and they run out of objective range cause they are not getting kills fast enough make everyone lose.

the whole "run away omg!!" its a banshee or brute that is half a map away from us is getting old too. especially when that player runs away and is the last player alive and you half to watch him not revive anyone still down with an objective timer going... till it runs out. do us all a favor and just go die when the odds are impossible and your last alive with objective timer.

Definately when your drell vanguard gets glitched below the map on wave 8 or 9 and you feel like a right useless chump as the rest of your team tries to complete the game without you.

Hmmm probably when someone misses a missle at a very large group of including banshees and brutes, and when an enemy is glitched and won't die, worst thing ever
