To me they are on strike two with this one. I will be highly hesitant with Dragon age 3 when it comes out but I will buy it and not preorder. SO they better do a impressive job making a perfect game or strike three your out Bioware.

I am just personally curious how many people would be ok with buying (or pre-order) another product from BioWare?

This post is not to bash BioWare or be rude to anyone that has an opinion.

My personal thoughts are....

I LOVE BioWare games BUT with DragonAge 2 and now the ending for Mass Effect 3 I will be very cautious on the next game they come out with.

Usually if it had BioWare'a name on it, I would pre-order on day one and try to get the Collector's Edition. But now with what has happened in the past few years I would NOT pre-order any BioWare games. I would probably still by the game but I would wait a few weeks for I did so.

Is there anyone else that feels the same as I do? Or do you still have faith in BioWare and will still pre-order/buy their games on day 1?

If so many people feel like I do, then I hope BioWare sees this as some sort of proof that the decision they are making are not good ones and they are losing customers.

EDIT: After 15mins of posting this, there are 3 pages already! And without being nasty to each other! :)
Thank you very much for taking the time and posting your answer and your thoughts!

If we had a good ending for Mass Effect 3 then we would be seeing posts  like “Hell yes I would pre-order another BioWare game and anything they put out!” or “I cannot wait to see what BioWare comes out with next!!!” OR even seeing many threads about the next Mass Effect game OR MMO!

I REALLY wished we could have seen that instead of what is going on now!

Preorder again.. NO!!! I spent $80 bucks sight unseen trusting I would be satisfied.  Buy another product.. not until it had been out for sometime and the reviews were good.

Of course. For my tastes, no other developer out there provides the same engaging type of gaming.

Time may soften my stance but I think NO MATTER WHAT I will never preorder ANY game again from ANY developer. I've been too disappointed by developers that I thought were uber cool -- of course nothing like ME3 .. IMHO DA2 disappointment pales by comparison.

As far as BW goes I think I'm done throwing $ at them period. The best possible thing that I can think of to call BW is "out of touch" and I really don't want entertainment from a company that has no idea what I'm looking for.

Note: Part of what I was looking for is what I feel that I was promised but never received so I blame BW for doing a p1ss poor job of managing customer expectations.

Unless they fix ME3 ending, hell no. I've played plenty of games with bad endings before, but never really was angry at the company. ME is different, I invested hundreds of hours into it, and really became attached to the characters (more so than I probably should have), so having a bad ending to it really feels like a personal insult.

Sure I will!
Almost no other games come close to the depth, immersion and value of BW's games.
Granted, the ME3 ending was a let down (still hoping the indoctrination theory is true).
But dont forget: Bioware is the story teller, we are the audience...

If they don't fix the ending soon, I'm out, And if I do buy a Bioware game in the future it'll be pre-owned.

Yes, I would. I've enjoyed every Bioware game I have ever bought, start to finish, including ME3.

I will buy further games but if there are no changes/additions to the ending probably no Mass Effect game as i can't see any sense in it if i know that it won't matter in the end. Also no preorder anymore as i would like to know if i will go out of the expereince with a depression beforehand and as seen you can't go by statements of devs or expections of earlier games in a series. I love their games, all of them, till this ending. They telled stories the way i like it but if this ending is an indication of change in their way of storytelling buy-on-sight or even before just can't be done.

Won't preorder anything.  No matter how many shinies they dangle before me.  May end up buying other Bioware products if user reviews seem positive.

Nothing Mass Effect related, though.  Ever.

I don't usually pre-order a game unless it's cheaper for me to do so. Extras added to the game do nothing for me.

Yes, I would and I speak for the majority 95% of Bioware fans! People who hold grudges show how little they have going on in the present and future to keep remembering things of the past. Bioware make wonderful games with their collection of extraordinary talent. You have to be broke not to get their games. Preorder assures you get day one DLC free as well :)

I speak for this guy when I say
"I'm a troll"

On topic, no I won't pre-order since unless this is fixed I don't plan on buying any BW games to begin with.

I won't be preording any of their games again for a while - because I preordered ME3 and it was a mistake.  This game is great - but it has a lot of bugs and a terribly written story compared to the other two games.

Will I buy another Bioware game though?  If reviews and customer feedback are positive, then maybe, if the game looks good to me.  But I'm never buying another game that Casey Hudson or Mac Walters have worked on.

No matter what happen no more pre-order. I still wait for the ending who wasn't in my game when I paid it. Lies and more lies for the hype. No dlc and prequel stuff or anything until the repair the end. Even if the promise us something as long the don't change the end they wont see me again.

I preordered ME2 and ME3. Will I buy another Bioware game? Maybe. I'll have to see how this plays out. As things stand right now though, if I am on the fence about a future Bioware game, I'd have to say no and I wouldn't preorder.

Preorder? No, I would not. I may still purchase but I'll give it at least a week. Wasn't a a big fan of DA2, never purchased any DLC.

If I think the game looks good, then yes. The game play to me3 was a lot of fun, and I'm still having a blast with the multiplayer.

I think I won't buy bioware game any more. They destroyed DAII, they destroyed what Drew Karpyshyn created, this is no longer the same Bioware. All what Bioware did in past is thanks to Drew Karpyshyn, and he stopped working on Mass effect saga in the middle of creating ME2, and ME3 is completely not his work, and even he left recently bioware.

This is no longer same bioware as in the past.

And if they don't repairs ending ME3, so i will not ever buy bioware game.

But for sure i won't buy preorder from bioware anymore.

I may buy another Bioware product. After it's been out a while, the price has come down, and I can see customer reviews / hear about it from friends. But I won't be pre-ordering.

Nope, I'm done with Bioware unless the game gets amazing reviews from about 90% of the players, then I'll buy it used. After Dragon Age 2 and these endings they clearly aren't the same Bioware I loved anymore.
