no matter how many times you save the day, one mistake is enough to doom you. i sure hope none of you ever **** if you lose your job after one mess up, even if you did an excellent job for years and years before that.

or was the joker right in the dark knight? will the people always turn against you in the end?

You will lose your job if you lie through your teeth about that mistake and refuse to own up to it.

The ending to a game like mass effect, or any game, isn't up to just 1 guy with complete control of the direction of the story. Game development is a team effort, and Bioware, as a team, decided on the A, B, and C, endings.

The Joker is wrong. People aren't turning on Bioware, they just lost faith in them and feel cheated. Fans want closure, not a kick to the groin.

No. I will most likely wait a week and read reviews. I spent more then a hundred us dollars on my collectors edition and kinect. I'm going to be more cautious now. It is just a rule of life... I've learned the hard way that you need to be careful about big investments like this. For a college kid this is a big investment. I lived on pb&j and ramen for two weeks to afford it. To say this was painful is an understatement. I still love bioware, but I'm more cautious now.

Nope, and not just because of the ending. The day one dlc was a complete rip off. Also the vice president of EA made some statements which have made me decide not to purchase any EA related products. Was looking forward to some BF3 maps and what not in the future. Not anymore. I'll not support these companies ever again.

Buy another Bioware game: Yes, after it's been out for at least three months, patched up and I've read the relevant forum posts and am satisfied that it's non-crappy.

Preorder another Bioware game: No. Unless they fix the unholy mess of the ME3 endings, and fast, I'm not preordering anything from them ever again.

What good is the preorder bonus item stuff anyway? It's not like my shiny new ME3 guns made any difference in the end...

I got screwed and they never tried to fix the problem. This is a repeat of spore. EA corporate prevents devs from talking about the problem. I can tell everything past this will go downhill as EA tries to salvage the problem only to make it worse each time till bioware dies

Honestly, yes, I would consider buying another game from them. Especially if it's KOTOR 3.

I would just be more cautious before doing so. It won't be an automatic pre-order like ME3 was.

I will NOT be purchasing any new BioWare products, or paid subscriptions, until the ME3 ending is fixed.

Edit:
Just made this my sig, it's easier than trying to retype it every time it comes up.

Pre-ordering a game from Bioware is out for me. If the word of mouth is good I will buy the game since I don't trust game reviews at this point.

I will still buy bioware stuff in the future (dragon age 3 if it comes out for instance), but I would probably not pre-order it. Not because I disliked the game, just because I had some problems with my pre-order (getting sent two copies instead of one, being charged twice as a result etc.) Hell I've already bought "from the ashes" because despite any issues I had with the ending I loved the rest of the game. Then again I enjoyed dragon age 2 even though I know a lot of people didn't.

 Pre-order? No.

I still might buy stuff from them, but I'm going to wait until I'm sure there aren't any glaring issues with the product first.

Preorder? Absolutely not.

Buy? I can't be as absolute, but I'm close.

People do tend to turn against things after awhile.  People's reactions to the ending have been beyond irrational.

It depends on how they handle the current situation but no, right now I have no plans to buy Bioware products anymore. I considered buying used but I believe that developers deserve to get paid for their work and if I'm unwilling to do that, I simply won't own/play the game.

I generally try to avoid pre-ordering games unless there is a demo.

In the case of ME3 and DA2, I played the demo long before making my purchase decision.

And personally I enjoyed the ME3 ending, so I see no reason why that would influence any future potential pre-orders.

As I said earlier:

Anyone that has criticized BioWare for how they have handled Mass Effect 3 are shameful if they pre-order another game from them. If you complain, and feel they wronged you....turning around and buying DLC + Pre-Ordering their games is rolling over (like Shepard did in the end) and encourages them to continue what they are doing.

I get not everyone will boycott buying new games, that's fine. But logically, why would ANYONE pre-order another game from them (if you were upset with ME3). BioWare has proven they can't be trusted in their current state as a company. What they say about a game prior to release can't be trusted.

Not only should people stop pre-ordering, they should be weary of the gaming journalists that review games. It's been made clear that they are biased as they get paid from these gaming companies. At the very least if you are going to buy again from them, hold off and see what other people are saying. BioWare and the gaming journalists they pay can no longer be trusted.

And of course, I only say this to those that are upset with how ME3 played out (not just the story, but how the company went about marketing the game prior to release, and how they have handled things after all of this). My post is not aimed at those that don't feel wronged.

I wouldn't preorder or buy another EA or Bioware game, no. I might still play games of their's well after release, depending on what players (not reviewists) think of them....but I would rent or buy them used. They've lost all the insta-cash they've enjoyed from me over the years.

It's not just ONE mistake either, it's one in a recent line of "mistakes" from Bioware since EA got their claws on them.
