My stats got reset today after downloading some update......

Achievement progress reset after patch (good thing I've got all achievements already)
Campaign unlocked bonus powers reset (had them all, now I have none)
Custom controller settings reset

Should I just be happy they didn't delete all my saved games?

So now the new patch resets the progress as well? Oh this is just sad. What's up, Bioware? Maybe now can you pay attention to this issue?

Maybe the devs snuck in a process which performs the "Resante Fix" which has been known to fix the "Black Hole" glitch...

This just happened to me, after I was prompted I needed an Origin account (again). All Achievement/Accomplishment progress has been reset e.g Amount of Kills for Veteran was 3000/5000 but now is 0/5000.

Problem is Achievements like Unwavering wont unlock after this happens even if you get 6/6. Was so close to getting them aswell, really gutted about this, I've have been really enjoying the game then I get a patch today that crashes my game every time I press start at the beginning, then when I finally get past that I get "checking downloadable content" forever and then when I get past that my stats get reset.

I can't see them putting our stats back to how they were, I hope they do though because we all put alot of time into this game.

Please fix this Bioware.

Just happened to me, I updated my game and signed in to the EA servers from the main menu and everything was reset.

Since more and more people seem to be getting hit with this issue following the patch, I thought I'd point this out again: disable auto login to EA, I have yet to have a reset since making that change. For full details, check out my post on the first page of this thread.

I had auto login disabled but it still happened to me, not that I dont appreciate the extra work you're putting in to try and figure this out. I'm just suprised Bioware hasn't posted here yet.

I was told by an EA customer support officer to post my problem here when I contacted them as they don't communicate with the developers directly. Basically it's the same problem you all have although mine came from dleting the cache to get past the connecting to EA servers problem (nice that its a problem with their servers and yet they don't want to solve the problem isn't it) when I checked after redownloading the patch my progress was gone. I had 8 missions left for Unwavering and over 4000 kills toward Veteran. My main concern is that I played a mission offline after deleting the patch so I was wondering if anybody has tried to get Unwavering after their accomplishments have been deleted, does it still count them behind the accomplishments menu or is my progress gone?

I also realized something weird, it seems that some of the achievement counters are not even working properly. For example, even though I already have the sky high achievement my counter still says 0/100 after pulling enemies of the ground. This isn't a big deal, but I am worried that this will affect achievements that I have not gotten like overload specialist, gunsmith, and unwavering.

According to this guy over at the xbox360achievements website some Achievements are now unobtainable because of the reset:-

"No my achievements are still there but the counters are reset, it's
absolutely ridiculous. On the main menu when you goto "Extras" and look
at accomplishments, the achievements are unlocked but for the ones that
are cumulative (including the ones I have achievements for) the numbers
are reset.

Because of this b******t, I didn't get the 1000 kill achievement, I
won't get the 5,000 kill achievement and even more awesome is I lost the
ones for the N7 missions also. I finished all six but was only at four
when it reset so I miss two achievements for those, the one for
finishing five missions and the one for finishing them all.

I'm surprised this hasn't happened to more people, lots of bad luck with this game for me."

I feel dumb asking this, but where is the option to disable auto login?  I've been hit by this reset bug once and the EA rep wouldn't answer any questions or offer any help.  I don't want it to happen again.

I think it's:-

Main Menu --> Extras --> Options ---> Online

Thats off the top of my head though.

Go Options -> Online, then disable auto login.

Had the same problem after the update and yet no word from EA or Bioware on this thread, I was one of those that did not even complain about the ending and spent hard earned money on this game yet this is how we get treated, I lost 2600 or 2700 kills and I had arrived at the geth missions on insanity I lost all progress on "unwavering", thanks EA and Bioware.

Really this has been going on for people for over 20 days now and NOT ONE moderator has said anything don't know if its cowardice or simply not caring about fans who paid good money for this game.

I can't see our stats being returned now, its been way too long for some, aswell as the now unobtainable achievements due to the reset.

Got the same here.. veteran, overload and striker (which I have unlocked) just went to 0. On a hunch I checked other numeric achievements both done and not done. Same there.

This happened for me a second time yesterday after downloading another patch.. Dont get me wrong i really love Mass Effect and this game, i even love the ending that so many people **** about. But this bug really makes me angry! Its something that should not happen but now as its it should be fixed fast! I have lost 3000 kils and my progress towards unwavering. I have started a new game on Insanity and i really hope this does not happen again! Also as a few people pointed out a few achievements i already got like Pyromaniac, Sky high and Mail slot does not count up again. But just stays at zero. Please Bioware look into this!!!

This happened to me earlier today after the patch. FFS Bioware, get your crap in order. I was up to over 4,000 kills towards getting veteran!

I just got the Unwavering Achievement by doing Missions on Gold even though my stats reset it still counted, just got to get my kills back up again, its going to take ages to do...
