Well you dont to understand that Body was made as a copy of a known human female scientist for the goal of raiding the Mar Base for TIM, and it was sitting on the normandy ready to be used, so why wouldn't EDI use it?
As for bot breasts being metal theres nothing to say that it not really made out of some flesh mimicing material that just happens to have a metalic appearance?

I think its more down to limited amount of body types when creating character models so they went with a bustier frame.

Jack's breasts got bigger as well. While they aren't huge in ME3, she is certainly more well endowed than she was in Mass Effect 2.

On a side note, I like that the devs sort of poked fun at the fact that Liara's breasts got bigger from ME1 to ME3. Donnelly will have a conversation with Daniels where he'll ask her if she's noticed that the Asari get more top heavy as they age, and he'll say that when he is old he wants to move to an Asari retirement community.

Seriously, the only thing about female proportions in the games that changed has been they've become more realistic. In ME1 most women were flat as boards and looked... well looked off. In ME2 they improved the body styles but not by much. Now in ME3 we have some realistic proportions that make anatomical sense.

As for Ashley's sudden ramp up is up for debate. Especially considering her sudden change from the previous games.

And I think you're missing the point of EDI's body. The body was originally made to be an AI that infiltrates the Mars base. Something that TIM could more easily control. EDI took over the body to have a greater connection to Joker.

I honestly believe people are freaking out too much about this. Go complain at the old Tomb Raider games and Barbie dolls for "something not credible".

Jack was barely an A cup inME2 in this she's a solid B or C.

I will say this: upping Ashley's cup size and conspicuously keeping the camera trained on Miranda's ass at every opportunity wasn't necessary. At all. Ashley was never supposed to be a buxom babe, and Miranda's already rolling around in a s-catsuit (space catsuit). It's not a big issue, but it should be noted.

The trend was obvious. They were going for mass market appeal, and if they think people would j**k off to character models then they're more likely to buy them, then its a trend worth following.

On the contrary - I was early on very annoyed by the treatment of Ashley and the introduction of a toaster with giant boobs.

After playing ME3 - I'm even more perplexed.

Although I am surprised they didn't make the catalyst into a giant pair of walking boobs. It would have made about the same amount of sense.

EDI was a great character.

Do I wish that she was less sexualized? Sure, but ME3 is a video game. And it is pretty much standard fare for video games to have female characters be hot.
