I apologise now, if this question has been asked and answered previously. But I am somewhat confused.

I romanced Liara in ME1 and then again in the DLC "Lair of the Shadow Broker"

Does ME 3 not take the ME2 DLC & romance into account? When I talk to Liara, she mentions that it has been years since they were together, but it was only months.

Does this not count as a ME 2 romance?

Many thanks

Listen to her and her father Aetheya's conversation. It is suggested that you and Liara never got out of bed. Ever :P

LOL. Will do. :)

I would have thought that when you imported your ME2 save into ME3 it would include Liara as the person you romanced.

It does and to a great extend, even if you didnt really romance from ME1, simply being nice to her in ME2 LotSB and she will end up being the canon LI.

I romanced Ash in ME1, Tali in ME2, Nice to Liara in LotSB and in ME3:
It seems that I am in a relationship with both Tali and Liara.

My Shepard even said "Nobody messes with my girl(Liara)" while Aetheya called me her Boyfriend.

And I have not slept with her once.... although the conversation between her and Aetheya suggested otherwise and Liara didnt deny any of it.

So dont worry :P you have to work very hard to not be in a relationship with Liara

Is it? I haven't heard about this... But it's good to know. I might hold off on my paragon Liara Romance if this is the case... I'd quite like it to make sense to me when I play on that game :)

Yeah, it's bugged and it doesn't pick it up for some reason.

I've actually got a question along the same lines, if anyone can answer...

My LotSB flag isn't bugged; Liara acknowledges everythign about it, and Shepard already knows about the Shadow Broker thing. But in this Shepard's playthrough, I didn't pursue a straight-up romance with Liara in LotSB. I selected the option of giving her time, instead of, well, having sex then and there.

So, I was faithful, but we didn't get it on in ME2. Thus, in ME3, Liara constantly seemed to be questioning if my Shepard wanted to be with her. Is there any change that occurs if you pursue her outright in LotSB? Even something minor like a mentioning of those little blue babies, or a change in the conversation with Liara's father?

I'm just curious, because I may play ME2 again to get the bad taste of ME3's ending out of my mouth.

Yeah there are soem changes. Like you only get the the blue childrne line at the end if shep said that in the cabiin scene.

If it is bugged that explains a lot. I had the long conversation with Liara about marriage & blue babies at the end of LotSB DLC.
Just bummed that it was never mentioned in ME 3. :)

EDIT:

Found a way to sort the bug.

Ugh it's nice to know it's an actual bug. I hope there is a fix on the way for PS3 since I can't use the save editor. I raised an eyebrow at the "it's been years since we were together" line. NO IT HASN'T, WOMAN.

D: I really don't want to edit save files if I can 100% avoid it... I hope Bioware fix the flags...

And since it really really isn't high on the priorities of anyone right now, expect a long time for a fix. But other than that one little line that does kill some immersion, the rest of Liara's romance is excellent.

Agree. An actual fix would be nice. Especially for those who play the game on consoles.

Yeah she rememberd me at the start on Mars...Then just forgot. I found it cheap, I enjoyed Liara she was great, but it was just annoying. I also hated the fact that she was always busy.
I liked how Tali if she was on a mission with you would act differently if she was a LI. Like different squad banter. Liara only did this once on the illusive mans base after that, Nothing.
It made Talis romance more real.

Also Why cant i find Liaras dad? She is never there, and I saw the shadow Broker footage.

If it hasn't been reported in the bug forum, I'd report it.

That isn't accurate. I picked the "you and I won't be around to see the parade" option, then followed up with "it's not tommorow yet". Liara still mentioned the little blue children in my ME3 playthrough.

Not that I mind. it's a cute sentiment, but it threw me off a bit.

i have always felt like bioware has been trying to force Liara on us. she has gotten the most screen time compared to the other LI's and have the entire shadow broker dlc dedicated to her put it over the edge.

Liara's father should show up anyways. I found her on a save that didn't even run through the Shadow Broker DLC or romance Liara. It's worth noting that whether you romance Liara or not, the dialog for that scene is the same, including referencing Shepard as a boyfriend, even if you didn't romance Liara in either game.

There's only one bug where Liara says "years" instead of "months" but the LotSB DLC is fully recognized by the game. Even during the gift scene in London Liara references the "little blue children" line from LotSB.
