To OP, can you do a test of Wraith vs Grael (uncharged)? On the Citadel firing range, the Grael can take out the armored target in one shot, where the Wraith takes multiple shots (2 or 3, can't remember).

Has anyone tried the Eagle pistol with Squadmates?

I'm going to be trying it out more with EDI and Liara, in particular, as I continue my current playthrough, to see how they are with it, mostly just to see how it works out overall, and to change things up a bit, one thing is I hope they stay farther away from the enemy with the pistol than they do with the SMG's.

And I figure that the decent ROF helps out, with what little I've seen with them using it, over other pistols, and it does okay damage, so I thought I'd ask.

The Graal naturally bypasses armor reduction, that why it will do better against armor then the Wraith without a AP mod or ammo power. With the Shredder Mod or even a ammo power, which every one should be using some sort of ammo mod on them and their squad, the Wraith will surpass Graal (uncharged) in damage on armor too.

Graal is worth mentioning, but has some flaws... AI dont use the charge feature so compare from GPS damage scale... GPS win, Graal has a delay impact cuz it shoots a slow flechettes even noticeable even when Shep or even Tali or James use it even missing the spread shot in mid-range, while GPS has a semi-tracking trajectory on its 3 energy shots from long-close range!

i will try updating soon with vids from the shooting range for damage comparison, use, etc.
and might be adding the heavy pistols and sniper choices!

So they are saying that Armor Piercing Mods have no effect on Armor enemies like the Banshee and Brutes, so is the Armor Piercing Mod only useful for hitting enemies in cover then?

No wiki is wrong on this. AP mods help reduce armor's DR which is 50 on brutes and banshees. It is very hepful for automatic weapons and shotguns

Thanks for the list man... I had always choosen weapons for my squadmates based off what I personally enjoyed, and if I took 2 squadmates with the ability to use Assault Rifle I usually gave them different guns.

I gave Garrus a Widow and he seemed to miss a lot, so I mainly gave my squad weapons that had high fire-rate or more than 1 or so shots.

Can DR go below zero? So if you have DR with negative value, does that add damage?

I usually give squad members whatever guns I want, and I never feel like we are undergunned.

Garrus always has a sniper rifle equipped and I bring him on a lot of missions. Honestly between Mantis, Widow, Black Widow, and Javelin there isn't a whole lot of difference. He does seem to do a little more damage on the large targets with the big 3, but rate of fire and accuracy seem to be about the same with all of them. For his AR I just give him the Vindicator, since he wont use it and it looks nice anyway.

Javik is the only squad member I give the Particle Rifle to... I think it should be restricted to Shepard and Javik, but I didn't make the game. Haven't ever given him anything else. He also keeps the Predator.

Ash gets the Revenant when it is available (which is all her missions except Mars). On Mars I usually make her use the Mantis. She is decent with the Revenant though, especially under Marksman.  Although I have done a mission with her, Garrus and Shep with all Black Widows equiped.  We were big game hunting in the Attican Traverse.  It worked ok.

In my one game with Kaidan I gave him the Revenant for the hell of it. He was ok with it.  Although he had Vindicator for a few missions until I changed it (Assault Tuna on Mars, obviously).

I never take James anywhere but I just give him Mattock and Claymore typically. For Palaven it is Vindicator and Katana.

Tali I give the Claymore, but she seems horrendously bad with it. Probably using Arc Pistol on her is better. GPS is ok though, once you are done with Rannoch. But at that point you have no reason to take Tali along.

As for Liara and EDI, I have tried various pistols and SMGs and don't really see much practical difference. I don't have the Hurricane though. For pistols, Scorpion does a little damage, but is delayed. If it is available I prefer the Carnifex on them. However, if you like watching them mag-dump pistols, give them a Predator with extended thermal clip, it is sort of funny.

Basically if you are wondering what I am going on about, it seems to me that squad weapon damage output is a miniscule fraction of total damage output on any particular run. I don't think you necessarily need to worry about 100% capability if you don't want to, but then again people do and it's nice the OP set out to help those people. But if you don't care, then give them whatever guns you think look the best because you can still beat the game that way.

You can get Armor Piercing above 100% (AP ammo I+ and AP piercing Mod IV+ ) but you won't do extra damage. It will cause DR to be 0 for damage calculations ...

The N7 Crusader for me is the only choice for a squad member shotgun, it's more of a scopless sniper rifle then a shotgun (at level X it's essentially giving Tali a Widow)

Crusader is worth mentioning, it has the piercing properties of Javelin and Widow, has a good ROF, can be fired at long ranged, and hit like a sniper rifle, problem is... squadmate AI behavior with this weapon, the thing i notice the most is Tali and James are missing a lot with this weapon, 2nd thing i notice is there is no aggressiveness on shooting (less shots)

I really hate the N7 Crusader, but then again like we say here in sweden "the taste is like your arse".

Was using Javik and Vega last night with PR and Falcon in London. Fun, but couldn't decide whether Squad cryo or squad incendiary was better as ammo powers for either. On cryo, is it better to use that on the falcon to get AOE freezing, or on the PR as the freeze effect is more quickly implemented? Normally I don't use Cryo at all

How's the M-99 Saber for the squad? If it's good I like to give it to Garrus since he's one of my main squadmate I take for most of the missions.

sadly to say they dont use the charge feature of the gun! :(
