Starting Fraps (video or screenshot) instantly crashes ME3.

Any solutions?

Thanks

Not enough info, I have run fraps to record some video events and make screenshots without any issue.
My system specs follow (you should post yours as well as any other relevant information):

Computer: CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme 1311 Desktop (Tower)
Processor: Intel Core i7-960 3.20GHz (64 bit Quad-Core)
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate (x64)
RAM: 6GB DDR3 1333MHz (DDR3 1333)
Hard Drive: 2TB SATA-III 6.0Gb/s 7200RPM
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6770 (1 GB DDR3)
Sound Card: Realtek HD Audio
CD ROM: ATAPI iHAS124 B ATA Device (Generic DVD-R/W CD-R/W)
Display: Samsung SynchMaster 2233 (21.5" Wide Screen)
Default Resolution: 1920x1080
PSU: Extreme Gear 700W
Game Media: DVD

Also, check your FRAPS settings. if forcing lossless RGB uncheck that option, try using half size for recording size of video capture,  and be sure you hotkeys for RAPS are not in contention with hotkeys for the game.

doesnt matter about the info but if your pc can handle ME3 then its a problem with direct x try reinstalling direct x through ME3's game install if that doesnt fix it reinstall fraps because that has happened to me a few times but if all else fails have you tried playing the game then running fraps or running fraps before you play the game could help as well...

Good point on DirectX. You should have DX 9.0c (Re-distributable) installed, even if you have DX 10 or 11. DX 9.0c does not overwrite DX 10 or 11, but does provide some needed components and can be obtained from Microsoft's download site.

I reinstalled DirectX from the redist and reinstalled Fraps. Seems to have fixed the problems.

Thanks all

Tested Fraps with ME3 @ 5760x1080, not bad results.
