I have been watching the Legend of the Seeker on Sky in the UK.

I think it is really good and one of the most enjoyable fantasy orientated series I have ever seen. I absolutely love Kaylen the Confessor.

Has anyone else been watching it?

I watched the first episode after months of anticipation and turned it off in disgust halfway through, swearing to never watch another episode. I was indoctrinated into the Sword of Truth series in 1994 and bought every book on the release date. I felt Goodkind's work took a nose dive after the fifth or sixth book, but the television series, to me, was a travesty. I'm glad you like it though.

I have not read the book so I have no earlier point of reference. But yes, I really do enjoy it.

I think they make inventive use of magic in the series. The episodes that annoy me the most are the lazt "flashback" episodes.

It comes no where close the the book series (which I think is probably my favorite series I have read btw). So many things have been skewed from the book to make it "work" on TV.

However, that being said, I watched the whole first season and am eagerly awaiting the second season this week, I just stopped comparing it to the books as soon as I saw the differences, and enjoyed it for what it was.

That's exactly how I feel.
