So I can find tons of threads about unlocking it. But no threads about how it plays. I'm about to add it as a second spec. to my 2 Handed Berzerker and I'm wondering how much damage the Aura causes to mobs. And how much damage it will cause me. From the description it looks like Aura Of Pain would have good synergy with Berzerks regen.

I dont have the numbers right now but Bersek adds way more damage than Frenzy. Reaver is a tanking spec. Frightening appearance improves threaten and taunt. And Aura is good for Aoe threat.
For warrior specialisation combos id say:

Damage:
Berserker+Champion
Berserker+Templar

Tanking:
Reaver+Champion
Reaver+Templar

I just got it as my second spec on a duel wielder, I only have consume so far, but it's basically useless for a damage dealer. By the time my HP is low enough to fire it off I've also bottomed out my Stamina, if I save my stamina I won't kill anyone so there are no corpses to consume.

If you're twohanded, you already have life drain through the DLC talent. You don't need another one via Frenzy or Aura of Pain, especially since Frenzy's +damage bonus is effectively nerfed by your slow attack speed. You however need Champion's Rally to increase your Attack, since most of your skills decrease it.

Really, Reaver is only good for DWs. For main tanks, they need it because unlike Shield tanks, they're still susceptible to up to -20 defense from flanking. As such, they have more to gain by having a toggable, consistent AoE attack for those people flanking him. And for dps DW warriors, you really don't have much a choice but to take Reaver since DW warriors have the most to gain by taking advantage of Frenzy, plus Rose of Thorns + Berserk + Lifegiver health regen bonus largely negates Frenzy's life drain.

Reaver is pretty good but you need a char who use stamina so the full selfbuffed dual with crapload of buffs and no stamina is not a good choice, same reason why Reaver+Zerker is not that good too

what makes it good is the 2nd skill that a stron single target CC, as far as i saw it works on most mobs (bosses too) and for a good duration

the first skill is not bad, expecially in the early game, but as potions become more common is not anymore that needed, even if is faster to execute than drinking a pot and can come handly if your potion timer is down and healer oom or down (not that a thing that happens often but well... :P)

aura of pain is not a bad skill too, the dmg is nothing to speak about (6 dmg/tick to both you and anemies around you) what makes it good is that it hit hidden enemies putting them out of hide so, when fighting vs rogs it is a nice spell to have

the last skill is crap, i wonder if it is working as intended :P

This play through I'm not using mages. So I'm rolling with Alistar who I never use. I made him a Champion which is one of the reasons I thought I would try out Reaver on my PC. Does Champions Rally skill stack? I wasn't sure so I figured Reaver would be the safe bet, just in case. Do any of the AoE sustained abilities/spell stack with each other?
