Well Shepard did have a squad of 2 other people with him. Id say the gunship evens out the fight a tadashwind wrote...
The only time he "won" was because he had a gunship.

Thane said it
"What a joke of an assassin, an almost dead drell stopped him from finishing his job"
Seconded, as soon as I heard this I thought: "If only Thane was healthy."

Everyone warned me about Kai Leng, such a bad ass bla bla ...
Kai Leng should have won. Hes N7, trained and i read that he murdered a Krogan in a Bar on the Citadel using only his Hands.
Thane looses, Leng wins.
I was someway disappointed, Leng seemed a little weak i thought. He should have been a little bit more of a match for Shepard.

I get it though, suspend a little bit of logic for sake of story. I'm okay with that I'm a fan of Kubrick films after all.
Wish I had enough logic suspention points to tolerate dat ending.

I don't know why, but I hate that guy. I also dislike that dr. eva or eve.
Even the barriers of Banshees aren't as strong as those people's shields, it's idiotic.
My damn revenant 8 can't get through dr. eva's shields.

Thane in the other hand was trained since he was a small child to be an assassin. They are both supposed to be pure killing machines.

I think it's the part of Useful-ness VS Indoctrination theory. Even the Prothean VI says himself it senses the taint of Indoctrination when Kai Leng shows up. Maybe The Illusive Man overlooked that aspect when he gave Kai Leng Implants, thus making him make more mistakes like loosing his skill. Just an idea...

Thane would eat this guy's lunch. Samara could take him too. Kai Leng is Mass Effect's version of General Grievous. I don't care how badass you try to make him I'm not buying it. Kai Leng is a little too anime for my taste especially when he starts destroying the floor like he's some sort of Dragon Ball Z character.
Totally agree about Samara. I think of the ME2 squad, even Miranda and Jack would beat him alone (the other characters are badass too, but they aren't really pure 1on1 fighters).
About the floor - well, if you've got some biotic or tech powers, that's not really a big deal.

Haha, that's a good way of putting it. "Hmm, we need a new villain to keep our heroes occupied for a while. Cyborg guy with swords, anyone?"

Thane was terminal ill and in hospice. He stone cold stopped Kei Leng long enough so he did not kill his target. Every after running around as much as he did before the his confrontation.
