What do you guys think of it for a tank character (ie:  Alistair)?

How does it match up to the Blood Dragon armour set/ Wade's Superior Dragonbone plate?

Cheers!

It's good anti-mage elemental resist armor. Personally I prefer t7 warden commander armor though, it's a generally better version of Wade's S. Dragonbone other than fire res. (and like Wade's it leaves the helm free).

Blood Dragon is solid as well with a very nice HP boost, I just didnt like how it looked heh.

Juggernaut dose look pretty awesome, I have to give it that.

I go w/ the dragonbone plate personally because silver (Juggernaut) is boring , I don't much like warden commanders looks and warden commanders has no set bonus , and then theres the stamina regen out the ass on dragonbone plate

But they are all good sets of armor

Juggernaut armor should be black , but no they went w/ generic silver how boring

Warden Commander has a set bonus, it's the same fatigue reduction bonus that Wade's gets and some hp on top.

Yeah I was kinda disappointed that there was no midnight black armor.

I feel the same way about the wardens commander armor, it is my favorite set in the game. I would have prefffered if the blood dragon did not glow at the belt and the helm, as it is now it looks kind of out of place. I usually put the blood dragon armor set on sten and i can live with that. Oghren usually is put in the Juggernaught set and depending on who is tanking either my MC or Allister will usually wind up in the Wardens commander set.

No it doesn't

The internet CLAIMS it has a set bonus but it really doesn't

When I put the whole set on I have no set bonus buff icon and I checked the stats and the alleged set bonus stats aren't added

It does. I use it. It has a set bonus. Just to check, I'm playing on the PC, you?

Xbox 360

I thought it may be because I cheated to scale up its tier , but someone said they never cheated theirs and it still had no set bonus

Is it equipped on your PC, or a party member?

I sold and re-bought the set to up it to t7 myself... I wonder if there is something wrong with the 360 version. I get a visible set bonus icon as usual and I can see the set bonus stats change as I equip it so I can confirm it is working on the PC version at least.

I used the chest to do it for free , if that makes any difference

I noticed that set bonuses disappear sometimes but if you quick-switch weapons (e.g. from I to II) it sometimes helps. Sometimes it won't work in camp but it will in the field, just trial and error mainly, but I get it to work.

It's not from upgrading it, you're stuck with a bug that actually requires a helm to be worn with it for the set bonus, despite the helm not being part of the set. Which helm, I don't remember, as I too have the PC version.

Just finished the warden keep area on another playthrough. I remember the smith at Warden's Keep having a "wardens helm" for sale. It had no extra bonuses on it but maybe that is the helm you need for the bonus.

How do you get the last part of the armor? Is there a test you have to do?

I've done it both ways.  and it always has the set bonus..so it's not "the internet claims" but rather a fact.

you may be bugged..there's one when you equip them in camp...try removing it in the field (any normal area other then "camp" areas) and re-equip it...that usually fixes that bug

if that doesn't work..dunno what to tell you..but it does have a set bonus...fact

Definetely one of the best armors in the game, and one of the best looking too. I don't really like the color of dragonbone.

I used it for the Dragon Fights because of it's resistances, but Legion of the Dead, Effort and Dilligence are better armors, not to mention the Dragon Plate (Massive). But I had so many good massive armors I took the medium dragonskin for my Rogue, everyone in my main party is light armor except Alistair.

Effort and Dilligence are hardly better. They don't have any elemental resist and they dont have nearly as good a set bonus.

Blood Dragon Armor is stupidly overpowered, but thankfully doesn't fit into the game at all, with it's horrible neon glow and art, giving me a good excuse not to use it.

But if we only compare Juggernaut and Wade's Superior Dragonbone, I'd still go with the dragonbone. The only one to compare with dragonbone (I actually prefer Wade's Superior Dragonscale) is the Warden Commander's Armor.

Blood Dragon is good but not OP

imo Evon's mail + Wade's Superior Heavy boots and gloves is way better, it lacks just 4 armor but gives 10% chance to evade attacks, bonus to ranged attack, +2 action regen +1 hp regen and have neg fatigue due to dragon set bonus
also mixing Evon's with diligence boots/gloves give pretty good armor, actually better than blood dragon, of course no set bonus but base fatigue is still lower as all pieces are heavy ones

btw jug is good, but it depends by the party... if you have good anti mage tools you dont need that much all the res and there are other sets that gives more armor or more interesing bonuses

Eh? Evon's plate gives a set bonus when worn with other pieces of different sets? O.o
