The difference is that I'm not spending my time campaigning for anything. I haven't done all the work organising a charity movement which could've been dedicated to something meaningful and useful only to direct it all towards a meaningless "CHANGE THE ENDING TO A VIDEO-GAME" effort.

It's like spending the time baking a five-tier wedding cake, only to feed it to the dog.

I think you're pretty clearly spending time campaigning on a message board, to tell other people on a message board, that their message board campaign is a waste of time. But that's cool.

By that logic, you're pretty clearly campaigning against people campaigning against people campaigning.

I ain't organising any movement, unlike the "Hold The Line" people. I'm just expressing views on a board, same as any other board, same as any blog. Talking is not campaigning, otherwise you can level that accusation at anyone.

guy that made first post might be a troll after i saw some of craig's other posts he is attempting some pretty ridiculous stuff. anyway i support the idea.
Hold the line

I tell you he is just frustrated , he can't accept the reality, who has taken time out of his life, who is angry with Bioware and thus wants to put the World at peace.

DON'T SUPPORT!!!

Didn't seem right so i fixed it:D
anyway most players of the game do not agree with the idea that the ending must be changed, just because there was a large amount of whining people who have the game and said nothing make the ending's supporters a majority it just means that the endings haters are even lower in their numers, so please go off and call us a whiny minority we arre and always were the minority.

Somehow I find you right.

Yes, yes you are right. But now there is a significant threat to the minority that the majority will moan so hard that they actually collapse into a black hole borne of their own arrogance in believing that they are "fixing" the game for other people who actually quite like it the way it is. That is not only expressing their views but affecting somebody's else experience in a way which they have no right to dictate to others.

IT'S ALL STUPID!!!!

Fixed it for you.

no no (dissapointed) i liked it how it was you ruined it (under breath) like any troll would.

Is there going to be a campaign to get the post changed?

Okay, so. Bioware created the fans of Bioware games. Bioware is thus the creator, and we are the created.

We are rebelling against Bioware's creative process and attempting to "Strong Arm" the Mass Effect universe away from them. Created, rebelling against creators.

how do you know i'm not playing it. I played it some and that's enough for now. now some whining kid is trying to spoil my experience. and i'm defending my stand. You got problem with this??

How so? He's spoiling your experience because you're allowing him to. You don't have to acknowledge what another person writes on the internet. You're reading it and arguing with him because you want to. If you like the game that's all that should matter, not that some one else doesn't

And for the record I will not support Mass Effect 3 until the endings are properly and clearly addressed. And that's fine because it's my choice. And I'm not forcing it on you.

In the words of Sean Carter - "What you eat, don't make me ****."

Everyone Here must understand this is not only a fight for Mass Effect 3 but this is a fight for every Gamer in existence.  When a company decides that it can betray it's fans and think they can get away with it is when this is serious.

The Day 1 DLC is evidence of this.

The Promises that were Given to us were broken.

We were called Whiney Entitled children by the companies and reviewers that we used to trust!!  Despite the Fact that most of us are Well Educated members of society!

LET US SHOW Them that we are not going to let them take away what makes our games so Great!

HOLD THE LINE!

Bioware.  I am sorry this had to come to this.  I used to support you just like so many fans used to support you.  Now that some of the Angry Raging is over We are organizing and with organization comes organized results.  And we have the Numbers to have people listen to our Plight.

Ok, I'm all in favor of letting Bioware know you didn't like the ending but not playing the game only hurts you if you want the ending to get changed (same with trading it or giving it bad reviews). If no one is buying or playing the game why would Bioware make the decision to create a new ending because the market isn't there. I'm all for letting Bioware know how we disappointed were in a civil manner but boycotts are not the way to go.

tch2296 wrote......If insulting people isn't necessary, then why are people like you harassing and insulting Casey Hudson on his twitter page?

I don't know why people are insulting him on Twitter. Have you tried asking them? I haven't tweeted anything on his twitter account.
If I had to guess, maybe people feel frustrated in the same you're feeling, when you stepped into this thread and called people unhappy with the ending basement dwellers and trolls? That's just me speculating, you'd really have to ask someone on twitter to get a good answer.

tch2296 wrote...But you ARE NOT entitled to tell the developers to go back and re-create the ending because of YOUR OPINION.

Sorry, no one here needs your permission to say what they think. Just like you don't need mine or anyone else's permission.
I do think it's a little weird to complain about other people insulting Casey Hudson, while insulting other people. But whatever floats your boat.

it looks like the ends supporters are trying to act like they are a majority, but they aren't they are a vastly smaller minority. if the sales is what convinces them of it, the thing is that all who have the game and haven't said anything fall under the following catagories.

but it hasn't yet been determined
wether they will/won't like the end,
or will/won't even care,
or if they can actually do anything about it, or
or if they even will do anything most people who were not to that into the game will be like "end sucked i just won't play or i might sell."

but those that have an opinion and want to voice it have and it has revealed the minority to be those who liked the ending not those who don't.

I am boycotting Operation Goliath:

To those calling people who are dissatisfied with the ending "entitled whiners", I would like to point out that in any other industry being upset with the product and voicing your opinion is perfectly reasonable. If you go to a restaurant and order a 5 course dinner, with the promise of a chocolate cake desert, you expect to get what you ordered. If you then only to get a still shrink wrapped twinkie instead, there is nothing wrong with sending the desert back and demanding what was promised.

There were promises that your choices would make a difference, of distinct endings. Instead there are carbon stamped recolors of the same FMV sequence. This is unacceptable and a violation of the product as presented. Maybe you are perfectly happy with your Twinkie. Good for you. But those of us who are unhappy have every right to say so and demand the advertised product we paid for.

I haven't personally moaned about either of those (although now that you mention it ... leaving TOR merely because of this is damn silly).

Even if I was ... I could just as easily ask you to do your campaigning in appropriate threads and forums instead of posting about it in pretty much every thread out there.

Well, the only thing I'm doing, like a lot of other people are doing, is posting messages on the bio ware forum, saying what they think on the forums, in the form of Internet message board posts. We're also sending money to charity, and posting in some other sites. Like, this initial thread was just a message board post. But you called that a campaign, and said we were campaigning, so I thought, ok, you must mean all of this is a campaign. But if that's true, that's also what you're doing. And you don't need my permission to do your campaign, or not campaign, or whatever.  I think it's weird that you see a difference, but that's cool.
