There seems to be some really powerful longswords and Maces in the game.
Thinking of making a DW rogue but can they backstab using those weapons?
Do the rogues have to use a dagger to backstab?

My rogue used a longsword/mace combo for almost the entire game, no issues.

Backstab in this game basically just means you will automatically critical hit the enemy if you are stealthed or flanking them. Doesn't matter what weapon you are using.

Yep, you can backstab using two handers if you want to
