No. Trust me, when you would have completed the game you would feel the urge to start a 2nd playthrough anyway, so I'd recommend to start another playthrough in another Origin and play through to the end without making the same mistake. The ending is fantastic.wes72971 wrote...
So, Bioware creates a game that one wrong turn and you have to start over?!?!?! Well, this one is going back on Monday! I've completed everything except Orzimmar! I'll be damned if I'm going to start a new game because the dev's didn't have the foresight to think that many players would work both sides before making a decision. And if the goal was to force you to make a decision...I have! My decision is that I'll get 20 bucks back and not buy BioWare anymore!!!

Please help! While in Orzimmar, I decided to proceed with quests for both sides. Therefore, I completed the proving and went into the deep roads (I think that is what its called). Now, when I return to the characters to continue quest, both call me a traitor and wont talk to me. Therefore, I cannot proceed. I am assuming that either must give next quest before proceeding to find skull key, etc. Any help would be appreciated...
Similar thing happened to me. 70 hours in no less... Found the Lord in the Deep Roads, and told him of the lie. Did the proving also. Now neither quest giver will talk to me. I did get the key from the block behind Vartag though. In my quest log it still shows the "A princes favor: the first task" as being active. Says I need to returnt to Vartag and talk to him to check progress on the Assembly. Well, he won't talk to me! Nice... a game breaking bug 70 hours in. Pathetic!

Try going to the tavern and talking to Harrowmont's rep there. I was playing both against the other through the first two tasks, and now I'm on the Paragon task still playing them both against the other. I told Harrowmont's rep that I'd be their inside spy. Still haven't decided who I'll back after I finish Anvil, though.
Try this before chucking your game into the fireplace.

Personally, I do not feel that the Dwarven area is well written at all. It's very unrealistic to have Grey Wardens become directly involved with deciding political outcomes as they are stated to be exactly the opposite from such behavior. Still, the two reps warn you not to go to the other, so the writers do offer a warning, at least. Not that I think that excuses the poor writing for this section or the problems it causes for the story and gameplay.

I would spoil it all save to tell you only of them is telling the truth... but that's hard enough to find out
Does it matter who is right? Its a case of picking your poison considering that both of the canidates have personal reasons for taking control and you have to choose a side.

i had no problems playing both sides. As soon as you finish the paragon quest, it skips you to the assembly and you pick a king. No idea why so many are having such a problem with this.
Because too many people take everything the NPC's say litterally... One of my friends totally wreck Redcliffe not knowing that Teagan wasn't serious... so sad, the dark side is.... hmm?

I'm at Redcliffe right now, trying to decide if I should leave them to thier own ends or play the hero again.. I kinda want to see what an over run Redcliffe looks like..
