Yeah they went over sexy with Ashley -- also her face was changed, too, made more pouty and so on. Was a bit jarring and out of character for her, I found.
Honestly, if they hadn't told me that was Ashley I might not have realized. Eyebrows are different, expression isn't the same. Facial structure is different. Hair, obviously.

Not to mention how Samara, EDI, and Miranda were designed from the start.jumpingkaede wrote...

I guess the idea was "Ash is a bit more laid back now, she's let her down". Not subtle, but true I reckon. Also this age old arguement of people being made attractive in games is daft. If you bake a cake, you don't drop it on the floor at the end and scrape it up to make sure that it's politically correct and not too pretty.
All the dudes are ripped. I don't see being healthy as a bad example to set in gaming.
It's not like she was fat and out of shape in ME1. Or Liara was hitting the Asari buffets a little bit too often before she met Shepard. They were all in shape and "healthy". They were both attractive already.
Then they both went and got boob jobs.
I'm just glad they didn't try to alter Tali.

So basically your judging a female character by her looks.
Great story, bro.
I see what you did there.
Nice try. No, they changed the character, to make her sexier, and I liked the character better when she wasn't primarily a sex object.

Who liked Ashley's personality better in ME1 and ME2? /raises hand.
Something was just off about her character in ME3. I understand character growth but it was jarring. Where's the Ashley that told Shepard to leave her behind and save Kaiden instead? Where's the Ashley who would put a bullet between the eyes of a Geth at 100m? Where was the Ashley that would talk back to Shepard if she disagreed? She went from brave and determined and independent to being... meek?
Did Shepard's death and temporary alliance with Cerberus shake her up that much? I was looking forward to getting her back, avoided all the romances in my "official" playthrough, etc., but I didn't really care for Ashley that much in ME3.

Typical human in the 21st century. For all her flaws, I just want to renegade punch her in the face. Her character has almost zero development in this edition of mass effect. No side-arguments, no side-interactions.
Unlike Liara. See the difference?

Ashley is distrustful and thus unprofessional and widely discriminates against other species.

Plus they stuck her in the Hospital for half the game... Is it a coincidence that her Voice Actress also played Oracle in Arkham City/Asylum?

Bioware really sexed up Ashley in game #3.
There was not a single unattractive human character in the whole game. Everybody was thin, every man was muscular looking like they could win olympic medals, and all the women had perfect bodies.
I don't see too many soldiers or military personnel in real life that are overweight or out of shape.
So all the human citizens on the Citadel were soldiers?
Well, there you have a point, but that is video games and television, in general. How many soap operas have ugly people? Why are all the doctors & nurses on Grey's Anatomy (and the spin off after it) all real attractive people?

Now? Catsuit, high-heels, and hair down past her shoulders. I remember when some(many) people tried to excuse this appearance by claiming she's bustin' out as a pimp in her own right now that she's a Spectre. Well...she wasn't. And she doesn't. So much for that thin excuse.
ME1 Ash is better than ME3 Ash because ME1 eyebrows MOVE.
Botox face is sad.
I couldn't put my finger on that till you mentioned it. Another good point.
She and Miranda both have bad clipping/animation issues in part because of those asinine manes of hair.

Even better, I've seen videos of the Udina confrontation. Kaidan wears armor. Ashley is still that stupid catsuit. No wonder you die when Shepard shoots, Ash.
YOU AREN'T WEARING ANY ARMOR!
