They should have given us both.
Bun during fighting scenes, long hair during casual / bedroom scenes.
Or a toggle option, like they did with the "cycle appearance" thingy.
Who liked Ashley better with her hair up?

Me. I was hoping one of her alt costumes would have the hair in a bun. I'd buy DLC just for one of those.

Should have given us the option, like Tali's mask being clear instead of fogged up or EDI without the visor thing.

Kaiden isn't a "bro" though. Garrus is a bro, Kaiden is more comparable to a cardboard box. I'd airlock him if I could.
Kaiden never surivied virimire for me, except that one play through of 1 I didn't finish.
He was so whiney that I just let him die out of pity, he clearly didn't want to live with his crappy childhood and such, and being a poor L-2 biotic or w/e.
Also I liked the old ashley look also. I was sad they tried to make her look like a model instead of a solider.

Yeah, I much prefered the old tough, practical Ash. Not the new super model Ash.

Not only that, but how did she jump from enlisted to commissioned? She take the time to go through OCS while getting her boob job and face lift? I mean she definitely looks better now but it's unbefitting of her character. I liked her hair up and lack of makeup, made more sense. My wife (soon to be ex unfortuanately) is in the airforce, always wore her hair up. It's against regulation for hair to hit your shoulders, and it's too much a pain to have it hanging down anyway. Makeup and sweat also don't get along very well.

I did not like the new Ashley. She was Miranda-ized.

I like it but yeah I prefer ME1 Ashley. She looked more soldier like with her hair up.
One thing that did bother me is her sudden breast increase and Miranda Effect. Y U DO DIZ BIOWARE?

I prefer hair up, its more realistic. At the very least, her hair seriously needed to be tied back or something.

I like Askley as she used to be.
Shes a marine, a Solder and should (IMO) look like one.
In ME3 she looks like a model.
As I said before, I was afraid to take her anywhere. For fear of.. "OMG Shepard Cover me. I think I broke a nail."
The problem is, most RolePlayers and older gamers will have this view.
Younger generation/action gamers will want sexy looks.
look what happens in game like Fallout or Skyrim. Body mods and Armor mods. Its hard to find anything that does not have Skimpy, revealing, or sexy in the title.

I think she looks much better with her hair down.
EDIT: I do understand the objections though. It IS unusual for a soldier to have hair like that. But I personally prefer the hair down look. I think whoever suggested they change her hair back in an alternate appearance had a wonderful idea!

I learned through ME3 that I liked her best dead on Virmire, but as a PS3 player, I had no true idea how bad she was. Two of my playthroughs left Ashley alive, but it's all Kaiden forever now. If I ever play again, anyway.

I look at it this way, in ME1 we had Ashley. In ME3 we had Sandra Bullock playing Ashley, but wasn't really Ashley.

I prefered her hair up. I've spent enough time having to get up early to put my hair up (ROTC), that female hair that's out of regulation has become a bit of a bug for me.

I don't like either model. But the ME3 one seems... off... somehow.
