This is the fastest run I've had so far, and we were not going for speed. I just happened to be playing with 2 highly skilled european players who I met on this forum, and a random engineer that wasnt half bad.

Here's the 19 minute Reaper Gold video.  For anyone interested. Biotic explosions galore. There was even a FUS RO DAH! at 11:50. Unfortunately the victim ended up being Marauder Shields

It's an effective strategy that works well against Reapers. It's not the only one, but it's effective and requires teamwork. A quarian infiltrator pre-nerf could solo the Geth on Gold. An adept of any kind can't do much against the Reapers on their own. This strategy requires teamwork, proper setup with Power AMP/Power Cooldown, appropriate ammo type and high level weapons. 

I am 100% sure that if 4 infiltrators equipped with black widow & warp ammo focused fire on a Banshee, it would die quicker than spamming biotic combos at it. The bonus of biotics is the AOE and crowd control, but that can also be done with grenades. So in short, biotics is not the only effective strategy but it is probably the easiest to use.

This thread inspired us to try a speed run, this was our second attempt. We used a pretty balanced team, although we did not have the best equipment, or weapons. The run wasnt flawless so Im sure faster runs are doable by a good team. Anyways it was very fun to do, and I also recorded a video if anyone wants to watch it from a vanguard POV.

Yeah Human Vanguard is really strong. I love them on my Sentinel they always detonate my Warp thanks to Nova's radius.

in my opinion best combo for a random game as gold, is
1x human soldier - wep Falcon 3+ ( u can swap it with a Asari adept, same wep)
1x Turian Santinel - wep Falcon 3+
1x Salarian Infiltrator - wep Widow/Black Widow
1x Salarian Engineer - wep Widow/black widow

Ya Vanguard is great but sometimes i get downed while biotic charging and i start glitchin all over the map and then end up free falling till game ends even if i get downed nothin happens.

Vanguard always needs to be the leader/host, for multiple reasons. The class is constantly miliseconds away from death, so even the slightest lag can cause you to drop dead. Secondly, there is a bug that occurs when you charge and die at the same time when you arent the host. Your screen starts to shake and then you glitch outside of the map. Only play vanguard if you are leader/host.

PS: Same is true for the falcon/scorpion weapons. They do not work properly unless you are the leader/host.
