I felt like the entire Cortez story was wedged into already great content. Why?

That's no really "inflammatory" to either side dude. I stood by neither. People will attack it with their own agenda's and in doing so pretty much solidify the point.
It's not inflammatory, it's pretty much saying "I'm so wise, look how mature I am for not taking a stance and coddling you all like children." It's the attitude that's inflammatory.

In future Eterna, I'll be sure to leap in and rant 1 way or the other instead of proposing a midground, deal?
You can take the middle ground without degrading the people who have taken a stance.

I liked Cortez. Decent fellow, kinda feminine, but still likeable.
How the heck was he feminine? lol
Oh cmon, his voice is gentle, he's very sensitive, caring and worrying about Shepard... i'm bisexual, and this guy was feminine to me.

This thread is about Cortez and rather or not he felt Wedged in. This isn't a place to discuss your thoughts about other denominations. I thought Cortez felt a bit forced. I thought his open Gayness was shocking and a little forward. But I really liked the Human Element of Cortez and the fact that they portrayed his grief quite well. I liked how you were able to help him come to terms with his grief and he wasn't simply just 'an answer to people wanting same-sex relationships'.
However Ms. Can I borrow your shower and let's have sex without any lead up was kind of... I dunno. classless. Truth be told though, I thought all the romances in Mass Effect were kind of Ham Handed. In ME1 it was basically a few conversations, a childhood story. A couple of missions then a sex scene the moment the regulations were out of the way for a second.
Glad ME3 Flushed it out well enough with some consequences and a long term effect on those involved, otherwise I'd have been POed and actively starting threads bashing the overall romances in the ME series.

They aren't all "homophobes" Miss. Fighting fire with fire doesn't really work either.
People who write stuff like "Traynor is just a tease for the straight gamers!" and who whine that "Cortez talks about his "husband" too much!" are making if not outright homophobic, then at least disgustingly heterosexist, comments. People like that don't deserve any coddling. The only thing they deserve, is to get told. The end of.

I didn't feel like he was tacked on at all. It was nice to see that the shuttle wasn't just magically flying itself this time, and considering all the times Cortez saves your ass, I think it was a good idea to actually make him an interesting character. Would have seemed strange to have this guy that keeps helping you out and taxiing you around just to have him never talk to you.

His voice isn't very feminine, he doesn't have a lisp from what can tell. Being sensitive also doesn't make you feminine, it makes you human. Caring about Shepard isn't feminine, he just cares for a friend.....like most people do.

I don't see why Cortez having a husband is even an issue. Alien/Human relationships get a gold star, but humans of the same gender get ZOMG HORRIBLE... it's just silly.
This this this this this!
Also, you'd think humanity had gotten over this particular issue by 2186...

As I said I am against denomination bashing. You are being very belligerent and defensive everyone is personally attacking you. Please don't Forum Bait and read the rest of the post in context before you post your reply. It's not very classy to do otherwise.
Here is the rest of my post.

Seriously Eterna? You've pretty much run me in circles here man yeah. I came in here and tried to be balanced, and ended up getting my every word frowned upon for not picking a side. You then decide to pursue me on that until I give you what you want. You've made it pointless for people to make any effort (flawed or not) to be balanced. You're the Zap Branigan of this thread.
I never told you to pick a side, that's your own delusion. I told you to stop sitting upon a pedestal when the reality is you're no better than anyone else in this thread.
