From reinstalling Origin to deleting profile files or other methods.
I am not an active forum dwelling solutions poster! So don’t expect replies or many new topics.
That said, I was one of the many frustrated “Cannot authenticate DLC” users who found a working solution even though it seems so simple and even more unlikely that it is just such a dumb solution.
As long as there is an internet connection whatsoever the DLC tries to “Authenticate” the From Ashes DLC. Even if you use a firewall to block all traffic with the network adaptor enabled or the cable connected live to the internet this will not work when the EA servers cannot authenticate.
Information for all the “OFFLINE MODE” users confirming the DLC works. OFFLINE MODE IS NOT REALLY OFFLINE, Origin still maintains a connection in OFFLINE MODE as long as there is an active network adaptor.
My solution so I can play COMPLETELY OFFLINE and that INCULDING the "From Ashes" DLC was:
Disconnect the internet cable OR hardware disable the network adaptor.
Type in start search: “ncpa.cpl” and disable the used and active network adaptor.
Only by disconnecting the internet cable or hardware disabling the network adapter gives you true Authentication free gaming fun.
Don’t forget to enable the network adaptor when done playing!
Or just accept the Authentication hell.
Still, this is for sure not the way to treat paying customers.
