First instance happened I joined a bronze game earlier today fora few easy credits to tip me over 60k and a guy playing as a level 4 engineer rocks up.  His N7 rating was also 4 and the other two people in the lobby instantly go for the votekick.

WTF?  If he can't play bronze where the hell else is he going to go??

Instance 2 happened about an hour later when I joined a silver game and much the same thing happened.  In all fairness, most of the sub-50s you see in silver are probably just there because they left the search filters wide open.  Anyway, level 2 soldier shouldn't really be playing silver so I joined my teammates here and votekicked him.

The two teammates in question then went on to die more times than they actually killed anything and completely ignore the objectives.

Again, what the hell?

Consult Wheaton's Law please

Happens. People tend to screen people by their character level, not N7 rank.

My level 3 engineer had more score than the level 20s in silver. Yet they wanted to kick me but host started it.

You can't really stop character screening with a vote system like that. Luckily, you need 3 votes to kick.

1) That is ridiculous, honestly. It's just elitists thinking they have some sort of entitlement to overpower content & never play with the newer players.

2) This however, is accurate. I was in Silver earlier, performing the Goliath Mission. A 1/1 Soldier joins. Sorry but, insta-kicked.

3) Be aware that N7 Rating/Level along doesn't equate to ACTUAL skill :3.

We where playing Silver Repears for the challenge today and a guy joins with an N7 rank of 34. We were tempted to kick him but decided to help him/her out with the commendation pack and he/she manged to hold their own pretty well.

Gold is typically the only time I'll vote to kick players.

I absolutely do not vote to kick anyone on Bronze. It's not that hard and people need somewhere to rank up and get better. I only play Bronze when just having promoted, though. On Silver or Gold, I pretty frequently will vote to kick people who are too weak.

I avoid this problem by never playing Bronze. When I promote I just jump directly into silver. No matter what class I am using I equip my Widow VI and go to work. Not uncommon to lead the scoreboard.

I votekick sub 10 on silver but I also normally make a comment like "Sorry but we don't want to carry a low level character." or something along those lines, bronze gets a free pass.

It's fun promoting my classes because 90% of the time I out score everyone else. And no I don't have proof. >.> <.<

I agree. I got kicked from quite a few lobbies the first time I tried to join in when I got the game. I also saw people in a lobby with me trying to kick a level 2 adept yesterday.. when they kicked him I left too. If it's just bronze it shouldn't matter. If level 2's were queuing for silver and gold I guess I could understand that, but not bronze.

Surely they were trying to get a party together though.

Played a match last night which put me over N7200.

I was a level 1 salarian engi sporting a pally and completely obliterated the scoreboard. I carried my team to victory whilst my groupmates were doing god knows what, god knows where.

"Step it up kids, the level 1 is making you look bad."

I guess they took that personally because the next match they did much much better.

What's also ridiculous is that most people try to go for the most kills instead of working together to complete the entire 11 waves. They just go off and kill everything that moves and get in your way, steal your kills. Anything to get the highest score. Frankly the MP was poorly implemented. There should be a way to force people to work together in a co-op if that's the goal of the thing. As it stand it looks more like CoD than anything else where everyone is out for themselves.

It's just poor etiquite to join a silver with such a low level character reguardless if you have a high n7 and it's your second time through engineer. Why? If you're playing with randoms nobody knows you or how good you are. Even if you would end up outscoring everyone in the match with your low level character, no one has any way to know beforehand. We can only go by what has happened to all of us 99% of the time, which is the low level guy is dieing the most and contributing the least.

I don't kick anyone from Bronze or Silver unless they're afk or making noise on their mic.

ha reminds me last night

got a lvl 4 drell adept on a silver game with the reapers, was half tempted to kick him but he had an n7 rank somewhere around 160 to 200 so I gave him the benefit of the doubt.

We pulled through that mission and got a full extraction to boot...I only had to pick him up off his ass like 3 or 4 times when **** really hit the fan during a hack objective.

I only vote to kick people on bronze if they join the lobby and take like 30 minutes before ready-ing up. Those people should really learn to prepare in the MP main menu before joining a lobby.

Yeah, there are very few good reasons to kick someone on bronze, imo. If you're afraid you'll fail because there's a level 1 on your team, you'd do better trying to improve yourself than looking for someone who will carry you through bronze. If you're trying to get a team of friends together, just set the game to private.

When I see two people try to kick a third who doesn't really deserve it, I leave the game because the first two are probably pretty terrible. This probably results in the third person getting kicked, but I figure I'm doing both of us a favor.
