Yeah, I hate that. We have all these new choices but certain people get all up in arms if you use anything but a pistol. That actually sounds like an awesome loadout.cheezeee wrote...
had a game where a guy wouldn't shutup about my drell adept, plasma shotgun combo. He said it was too heavy and weighing me down so I wouldn't be able to use my powers, which was at about +150% and I also had a power efficiency mod lll.

I yesterday jumped into a silver, just after promoting my Drell Adept to try a new build and was 2 votes for kick right from the start. I thought ok, a low level Drell Adept on Silver, I can understand so I changed to my 17 Salarian Engineer and others were 2 level 20 Human soldiers (one with a Black Widow III, I was jealous) and a level 20 Human Infiltrator. Let's say, I saved their collective asses on numerous occasion with a well-place Decoy and my "support" class outscored, outkilled the 2nd highest scorer by about 18K points. So for kicks on the next round, I switched back to low level Drell Adept, still got 1 vote-kick but round started. It was extremely funny, they couldn't seem to handle Silver, not rushing to finish objectives, standing around the middle just shooting at everything that moves with little or no team synergy...you know the typical Rambo shooter-types. I ended up solo-ing Wave 5, with the 4 objectives because they after taking down 1 Brute, couldn't kill off the Banshee and other Brute plus 2 Ravagers. I hope they were watching my low level Drell Adept running crazy-mad around the map from one ammo dump to the next while throwing Pull+Reave and Cluster 'nades and just killing it.
Anyways, N7 level means nothing and character level means nothing for Bronze and to an extent Silver, Gold is something else entirely. But I would rather play with ANY level that knows to pop a Warp after I throw my Stasis than the "I must shoot, damn the rest of the team" types.

Bronze: Never. Unless the guy was AFK the entire game and did nothing but stood there.
Silver: Under 10-12
Gold: Under 17-18.

I know a crew yesterday was tempted to kick me when I showed up with a lvl 1 Adept in silver. by the end of the match however, the lvl 20 Asari was following me around like a puppy for the biotic detonations I was only too happy to set up, or set off if they set em up. Give em a chance, guy. They may surprise you.
What is still my favorite match was with two guys with single digit N7 ratings in Silver. They worked together, fought together, and we did quite well as a team. Course, they were completely new to the multiplayer and trying to keep up with a guy still learning his Krogan Smash-Fu so we only made it to wave 3... but still

I hate people complain about using unconventional weapons. Are we just totally ignoring that any class can use any weapon now?
Just because they can doesn't mean they should. If bioware added a bannana gun that did zero damage, people being free to use it wouldn't make them any less moronic in doing so.
It's easy enough to have decent level characters of each type so if someone wants to use a particular weapon then picking a class that has skills which complement it isn't difficult.
An adept with a widow and claymore may be able to hold their own, but would be better with a class that complements that playstyle like a soldier.

It IS okay, however, when one person in your group...say, has her microphone on and she is whining to someone else in the same place as her about an argument she and her mother got into regarding her daughter and how her mother keeps bringing up things about the past and just won't let it go.
Crap like that. Why talk about things of a personal nature when you have your microphone on and you're playing online with strangers??

When did someone, who bought the same game you did, have to be treated as less of because of their weapon choice? According to you just because someone is using a weapon that is below average makes them moronic?

Let them keep to their elitist selves and join another lobby, or even create your own.

It's none of their business what a player chooses to use for their character, it's totally up to them.

Below average weapons are fine.
Weapons that are seriously damaging to the class are questionable.
That said, I still wouldn't votekick based on weapons, as I expect everyone in random games to be terrible regardless of level/weapons.

But even I don't kick people from bronze. That's where it's acceptable to not be any good - where else would you do it? Kicking people from bronze is just silly, unless they're afk or something euqally trollish.

I didn't vote to kick cause he'd been in the other matches with me and was actually a decent player. I don't think I could vote to kick simply because I have no clue how good or bad they would be during the actual match.

What on earth does that achieve?
There's people out there who bought the game, Leisure gamers, might not play a lot but just want to come on and relax, then someone like you starts screaming down the mic "you suck man" "your rubbish". Who are you trying to impress seriously?

It's acceptable to demean someone who might be having an off day in ME3 multiplayer? Whining and mocking people based on their performance, what a sad elitist.

If you could sit through DA2 and ME3 you can wait for the poorly to get better.

Altough i will say this, the amount of people that try to lecture others on what weapons they should or should not be using is becoming a little concerning.

Except not at all. Like it or not...this is a multiplayer co-op mode which means that if you're not considering how you're character loadout is going to contribute to the overall success of the team then YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG. I understand that this doesn't give people the right to selfishly demand/dictate what you play as BUT, again if you're of the mindset that "I'm bringing whatever class/weapon I want because I can" then you're acting just as selfish. Again, I'm not excusing elitist "play this way or else" reactions from people, merely pointing out that YOU can be guilty of the inverse of that same mentality
Having a solid grasp of weapon weight, class strengths, and gameplay mechanics is vital on successfully completing silver/gold. So if you're an Asari Adept with a Widow and a Claymore then you're contribution to the team is going to be minimal and force the team to compensate a role that YOU'RE supposed to fill.
In closing though, don't preemptively kick people from Bronze. That's just lame.

However, I am the vanguard of the kicking process in Silver/Gold. Come at me, low level bros. My vote is always the first that puts you on check since there's no excuse on Silver/Gold if you've progressed as intended.
