The game would be way to easy without it.

Then something is wrong with the game. Its possible to make a game really diffcult without resorting to something that cheap.

Those instantkills are nothing else then fake difficulty.

No- instantkills based on LAG are fake difficulty. Instantkills themselves are not. Saying they are is like saying Grenades or Hunters are a fake difficulty. They are part of the game. They can be avoided.

Boss type mobs are considered boss type mobs for a reason. If they didn't have a special ability then well.. they're just mobs.

Without instant kills though, Reaper faction becomes a joke.

Banshees would become no more dangerous than a paperweight.
Brutes become Chargers from L4D2, just side step, dance around, and they will never get you.

At least Phantoms and Altases still have something to fall back to.

Phantoms are the only thread for cerberus and mainly because of there instant kill. Atlas move too slow to be considered a threat.

Then tell me which Bioware game have this nonsense in the past? Dragon Age was challenging enough without this crap. ( and Ogger and Dragon grabs were always easy enough to interrupt and also dont always kill the player)

Of course they could. But why play a vanguard then or a krogan when someone could only charge mooks?

Its makes those classes  pointless and negate their strenghts.

I meant their range weapons, both Phantoms and Atlases.

I find Phantom's "Buddha Palm" far more deadly than her instant kill, such incredible accuracy. The only 2 ways for Phantom to get close enough for her stabby stabby is if she's ambush you from behind, or she has her fellow Phantom partners and bum-rushes you..

Atlas is just a slower-version of Ravagers, with Instant Kill instead of swarmers.

The only times I've been grabbed by banshees have been when I back into one :P

I wish I had a radar or some other way to know when I'm about to walk into one o.O

The lack of radar is what makes MP fun and improving your awareness of your surroundings.

How does not having radar make MP fun?  It mostly just seems lazy.  Esp since they have it in single player...but only when you puase.

Besides, radar would a nice compensation for having  70 degree field of view. I feel like I got blinders on with this game.

Radar is something game really should have. It just feels like a lazy ommission.

I dunno. I don't think the idea of instakills was a good idea. It takes you out of the game for something you can't avoid all of the time. I hope the team that built this enigine and continues to modify it learns the meaning of balance, because right now it seems they don't have the concept. Ah well, such is life...

There's already an AQ thread for that.

Last night I was dropped in a wave 7 ongoing Giant/Reaper/Gold game.

Players were camping at landing zone... but I didn`t want to camp there so I was playing sniper in far-side control room.

In wave 9...
I was sniping some enemies.. but One banshee was spawned on my side.

I took her down(Widow/Salarian Infiltrator), but because my teammates killed few enemies I was ambushed by two new brutes just got spawned and got double stagger and killed.

I stood up running out the door.. but there was a Banshee spawned there.
I tried my button... but damn X button made me cover and got sync-killed with no surprise.

...So.. I was spectating...
thinking my camping teammates probably can handle it since they made it this far.

1. Camping Destroyer: Got sync-killed by Banshee teleported from other side of wall. There was nothing he could do.
2. Camping Geth Trooper: Ran out and tried to use flamer. Got sync-killed.
3. Turian Sentinel: Had Hornet. Almost doing no damage to banshee/brutes. Ran around a bit without using rocket.. then got sync-killed.

Yes. All 4 of us got sync-killed.
If I camped with them.. it would have been really easy game, but I didn`t know any better.

What I am trying to say is that..
Sync-kill sucks.

The most important lesson BW can ever learn from ME3 MP is that
NOT TO MAKE STUPID ENEMY LIKE VANSHEE IN THEIR NEXT MP GAME.
