I would LOVE to play as Duncan if they ever decide to dish out a sequel... or prequel?

I think it would be a great idea to have Duncan be the only main character. Would be bad ass to play as him, and be able to see how he became a Warden and the many hardships he faced.

Actually, scratch that... DLC definitely =P

This is BioWare, ofcourse they are going to make a sequel. They kinda have a track record for doing that with their succesful games.

I wouldn't want to play a prequel or play as Duncan though.

people have been saying they promised like 2 years of DLC for this game or something ridiculous like that, so i wouldnt expect a sequel until about the year 2012.

I would LOVE to see The Warden and all her companions again, but it might be very difficult, what with so many variations and choices you would have to implement. A lot of them also having a huge effect on Ferelden would be hard to do. We could, of course just change the setting! Ahh, good thinking, Lucy!

Yeeesssss, my pretties... start writing the plot to Dragon Age 2... have the same protagonist... muahahahaha!

I wouldn't want to play AS Duncan; That would be sacrilege. However DLC based around his early life, exploits, maybe as a friend/fellow Warden/apprentice/trainee/whatever would cause me to change my underwear several times.

Why does everyone think Duncan is a bad ass he killed one ogre.......how many do we kill in the game, yes he was very grandfatherly but the pony tail....kinda wierd the dress thingy....kinda wierd and it was kinda poor strategy to put all your men in a narrow ravine above a bridge that could fall at any moment and kill half of your men..... so im just saying that being able to jump on one ogre does not make you a superhero warrior.

You could always read the books. Dragon Age: The Calling has a whole bunch of Duncan. ;)

I do like them too. It's just the way Marine put it that made me laugh. Duncan dons his armour with such epic he made Fabio's head explode.

To me it seemed during the game that they were already introducing the Dragon Age 2 area when they talked about the Orlais(?) grey wardens and how they were a toughened bunch mostly concerned with their own problems.

Voila, perfect area to make a sequel since they're disconnected from the current game.

i think altair is more badass just because he chopped off a finger for his assassin blade.

that is just hardcore.

Oh, of course, Altair is much more hardcore. Ezio is a much more tragic hero though (I'm sure you'll understand if you've played AC2). Either way, Ezio is much more flamboyant and that's why I was trying to make the "Ezio would be jealous of Duncan's armor" joke. :P

DA2 will probably start in some other part of Thedas, with a different backstory.

Yeah, I didn't like Duncan either and wouldn't want to play him. Probably wouldn't buy a game like that.

Even though I suppose it would be somewhat interesting, its really quite a leap from the games Bioware usually makes, forcing us to play a specific developed character with a defined personality and backstory. It wouldn't please me, even though Duncan is an interesting character, as I really don't want to play a game where the main character is already established.

Save it for a DLC, indeed. Like Operation Anchorage to Fallout3, a few hours worth of bashing darkspawn and conscripting Wardens as your favourite bearded NPC

I wouldn't like to play Duncan. I don't like Duncan but I have to agree that he is a great character nonetheless.

I couldn't see the point of playing just one character. Replay value would be non existent. The only good point would be to allow for even more depth but that would come at a price.

The Witcher is certainly a good game but it is rather limited as an RPG. Being unable to create a character is a severe limitation as far as CRPGs are concerned.
