mana clash ?

am I doing something wrong.

when I use it on spellcasters it work sbut neve rkills them, but creates a ton of threat so then my mage gets killed after using it doh!

When I use it in unbound thinking an easy kill resisted pops up he takes no damage then he owns my mage.

thoughts?

Magic which can be translated as spell power level determine not only amount of damage,
but also if the spell will hit or fizzle, so i think your mage is low on magic stats.
You can help this up by activating the sustainables spell wisp or spell might, or both, before casting.
Gaxkang is the 2nd hardest foe in origins IMO, second only to the frickin spider queen.
Going solo i came to the conclusion that i simply have to drain his mana,
so he cant cast that ice spell, i used mage bane poison & electric.
Another thing nearly indespensible is spell shield, so you can take a hit or two without being frozen

16x try ! Switch to easier mode if having trouble because it doesn't appear to effect chance of drop.
