Hey,
I wanted to play a NG+ on insane, but it's technically impossible to end the Mars mission, if you have the Scorpion Pistol equipped.
Why?
In the sequence, where everything turns slowmo and you have to shoot Dr. Eve, you don't have enough time to shoot 4 times (which is the necessary amount of bullets to kill her/it) btw there is no time for the projectiles to explode, because they all explode in the following sequence, where Shepard dies, if he doesn't deal enough damage.
Please fix this, so you get another pistol in this sequence.

Got a similar prob, none of my weapons will fire at all, so I just stand there like a douchenozzle and get skewered.

I'm not starting over, at some point in time I reckon they'll fix it.

Its only impossible if the Scorpion is the only weapon you have with you on the mission. I had the Tempest with Light Materials V as a backup on Insanity and the game gave me more than enough time to switch to it and take her out.

For future reference the Tempest with Light Materials V takes 4% from your Power Recharge Speed. I believe the Shuriken X with Light Materials V takes off 0%. I never go into a mission without an SMG.

Hmm I played on insanity my 1st playthrough. I just used the Predator psitol. worked the first time.

Why does Insanity give her more health during that sequence?

Its not about Health, its about time for the Scorpion Pistol to do damage. It takes several seconds to detonate. However, since it doesn't activate in the slow-mo sequence fast enough you die.

The funny thing is EVA is nowhere near you when it occurs because the Scorpion sends her across the screen and keeps her from ever actually reaching you like she normally would. Its like she teleports to you via cutscene and kills you.

I had the same problem and had to waste 35 minutes replaying the level.

I got royally screwed on this, I had the Javelin and Scorpion equipped, I tried for 20+ minutes but could not kill her with any combination of attacks. Had to go back to a previous save.

great... all I have is the scorpion.... no other save games as I only kept 1 on mars lol... nice

i had this same thing happen to me... i spent maybe 30 mins on it and then it finally glitched out(or something) and somehow she/it died. lucky me!
