Would love to see them both as LI. Vega has a lot more character than I initially thought he would, and I loved his easy going attitude despite the tough things he'd been though. And Javik needs some loving after all that time at war. Besides, FemShep needs a few more romances in ME3 after the whole Thane/Jacob debacle. Win for all!

I honestly thought James was a LI, but because I stayed loyal to Kaidan on my first run through I figure d i'd maybe missed out on the romance dialogue. Aside from the flirting, of course.

Then I found out he wasn't a romance option at all. Cue the disappointment...

I wondered this myself. My first playthrough, after the first Normandy conversation where he flirted and Shep auto-dialogue flirted back, I acted like a jerk to him to try and prevent what I thought would be inevitable ninjamancing. Turns out that wasn't necessary, and now I feel kinda bad.

I would romance Vega with my fem!Shep soldier if she could :3 He seems like someone she'd like.
As for Javik....I'm not sure, but I could probably come up with someone for him to love :3

I'm among the many fans surprised James Vega wasn't a romance option. He has a lot of playful banter with fem and male Shepards and has a lot of lines on the Citadel at several locations.

The developers even designed a shirtless model of his torso so all they would need are dialogue options and some voice-acting. We all know most of the romance scenes are just your Shepard and whatever LI going through the same motions anyway, right?

Vega's not a romance? He acts like he would be one I'm trying to avoid becoming his LI. And as for the prothean unless the cipher also gave shep a how to on sleeping with a prothean (which would be creepy) I'm saying no to that one too. Lets see between the two of them: I'm picking Conrad.

Maybe I'm strange, but I really liked Javik's character. I think, with great writing, he'd make a good LI.

As for James, he damn well should've been. All of that flirting, and then they just drop it. I'm blaming time constraints.

To be honest though, was surprised Javik and Liara didn't jump into bed together though.

I thought, "No biggie, at least I still have James 'The Situation' Vega on tap". End game.....nothing.

Time constraints? I would love to know what they were doing for those extra 3 months. It certainly wasn't improving graphics or imports. The graphics in ME2 were far superior to ME3. I mean seriously, I couldn't even hold Thane's hand because Shep's hand was three inches above his. Wanna give Tali a rock from Rannoch? Don't bother...it's one of those tricky disappearing kind.

And then there's the travesty of the ME2 romances...and I get nothing but chick flesh in ME3 if I don't romance Garrus in ME2?

So frustrating!

Javik is certainly one of the best written characters in ME3, if not the best. And his voice actor did a tremendous job with him, so it's not hard to like him....although he is admittedly pretty severe.

Vega on the other hand had an epic bromance with my Shepard. My Shepard took both him and Javik with him on the last mission.

Vega is an absolute tank. I think he has the highest hit point and shield rating of all the henchmen, so his survivability is very high.

The only henchman tougher than Vega is Grunt....

I did a playthrough without romancing anyone and Javik was like "Look elsewhere if you require a mate" or something like that. That just makes me wanna have you more, Javik.

I WANT a romance with javik, if possible, he is awesome as a squad mate, always there beside me under fire. Very active in game. I love his witty/sarcastic replies. I love his argueing with stupid Liara.. There nothing not to love about him lol and his voice......mmmmm

Vega I would consider romancing - he was a nice guy, amusing with the flirty banter. Javik, ah, isn't my type - did find him quite interesting as a person and character, though.

Vega not being an LI was odd to say the least, I mean I thought all that flirtation was leading up to something! There should have been 1 new male option new players could romance to balance things out a bit (considering what happens to jacob and thane...)

As for Javik , hells yeah I would!

Javik is so the grumpy sten of the mass effect series, you can't help but want to win him over! Since shep can communicate with him like a prothean I thought that would be the thing for him to consider another species .  For ladies like myself who found the asari mind-meld stuff intriguing but had zero interest in asari, being able to do something similar with a male alien would have been awesome (Javik).  Plus dat voice, phoar!

And as for Javik...not with Shepard, but I could see them doing something similar to what they did with Garrus/Tali and Ken/Gabby with Javik and Liara. It could work.
