4 Matches:
Dagger/ Reaper
Ghost/ Cerberus
White/ Geth (3 man team)
Glacier/ Geth
Dagger/ Reaper was very good. Sniper perch, Two-fer Cannibals with the third guy at the back taking damage. Prioritized on Ravagers, two hits on the "eye" and it's dead. None too shabby against Brutes when I had the range. Good team, but as I was prioritizing in chain-killing I ended up top of the points.. nice feeling, is all. IIRC, Full extraction.
Ghost/ Cerberus was horrible.. for Cerberus. All four players had sniper rifles, including a Krogan with only a Widow. It was a deathtrap mostly. Was particularly pissed early on because I was leading the target too much -- was too used to Geth and Reaper walking speeds, so the slower Cerberus threw me off for a couple of waves.
Body OSK a Phantom, that was a surprise. Lots of Engineer practice on hack Waves -- ran the magazine dry twice on two separate hack Waves. Don't quite like Ghost now because amazingly easy to get flanked.. While I was taking care of Engineers as they land from a jump, on the other side in the back alley, more Engineers managed to set up 2 Turrets which creamed some team members. Stealth revive, step back, blew turrets apart. Extraction was fun, Atlas materialized in the block next to the landing pad, I dematerialize said Atlas with a Cobra.
And yes, I satisfied my curiosity -- a Mantis X, Barrel V, AP II, can frontally penetrate and kill not one but TWO Bronze Cerberus Guardians with one shot. May need a Cloaked Headshot, but can be done. Full extraction on this one.
Third game, White/ Geth was just too lazy to wait for player #4. Went it, killed Geth. Even with 3 players -- 1 Krogan, 1 Drell, 1 Human -- the mission was quite doable.
Found out that the SR is good against Geth Prime -- first headshot takes out the shields, 2nd half the armour, 3rd kills. Fairly fast.
One hack wave got 2 of my teammates killed. Luckily I capped the last objective, so all I had to do is to survive the remaining. Already prioritized to kill Hunters and Pyros, so only left a pair of Rockets and a few Troopers. Turned and ran, then came back and killed everything. After that the mission was uneventful, Extraction was contested but with team firepower this was pushed back. Full extraction.
Last game was just to get enough credits to buy a Vet+ box. Good team, guys knew mostly what to do. A bit annoyed with the Quarian with the Widow, she got into my sightlines or was competing for sniping spots, especially during a hack wave... not as if the targets had any really big things that needed a Widow.
Geth Primes were trained to come up the ramp and we killed two there over the game, and a third in the lab room with firepower. Geth mid-bosses may be powerful, but the Prime is a bit wussy at Bronze... bet I'm going to regret saying that next week.
Extraction was fairly mundane for Glacier. Set up the forward defence at the lab door, so was able to snipe away at Pyros and Hunters. Had a lucky one where a Hunter I didn't see happened to be in front of a pair of Pyros I was shooting at, so all three took hits; no kills though. Managed to keep them all back long enough, got back into the Evac, but I think this one we only got a Partial; not too sure what happened.
Wrapped for the night. Will probably get some games in tomorrow with the added XP, but will want to work on the SP game too.

Giant/ Cerberus: Good team, talks too much though. And tactically was too far forward for my liking. Still managed to get 2nd spot because I adapted and came out.. Capped 3 of 4 objects, etc. etc.
Decided to continue with the team, again Giant/ Cerberus. Unfortunately 2 of them dropped midway and the remaining two of us had to carry the match. We got all the way to Wave 10, but then the other guy apparently dropped or quit.. bah, and I was racking up an incredible streak. 2 more mins dude..
Confirmed that the rifle can kill 2 Guardians in one shot from the front. Scoped and dropped both.. good times. Also headshot a Phantom for sure.
Last match was again on Giant/ Cerberus, but with a different crew, and taking the Soldier in. Collector II is interesting and good really but not really feeling it.. think I'll go back to GPR II instead. Again, D/c after Wave 10, it's really frustrating because I want to level these guys but just can't complete.

Also, seems like a lot of players think running in front of the sniper is a good idea. It's not. I can't see clearly means I can't shoot cleanly. Got to the point where I just shot through an aggravating idiot's legs.
Krogan players need to understand that their model is physically bigger, so blocks more when they are too close to another player. As a Soldier I can't splatter out the rounds if I can't see the target when a big lizard is camping in my face -- and in Reactor there's only so much sideways I can go!

Reactor/ Cerberus. Sniper. Went ok. Had a clean headshot of a Phantom, always good to see that happen. Also had fun popping Atlases and Guardians. AI is so predictable in a Hack mission with the Engineers.. it's becoming clockwork to center-mass and explode the backpack... from the front. Partial extraction I think; one guy got brought down at 1s.
Took the Soldier out to test out the Revenant II vs. Phaeston IV. Phaeston IV is much more stable, more accurate that way. Prefer it.
Dagger/ Reaper. Had a Lvl 9 Asari Vanguard. Not a great one. Knows how to use a Vanguard but not how to run in a team. First wave, went to cap the platform spawn when the rest of the team is already set up a killzone. Ended up the Cannibals spawned in a flanking position. Thankfully 1st Wave.. once I saw her running there I started to pull out, managed to support the Salarian Engineer. 2nd Wave she ran straight into a firezone. Too eager, not willing to support. I gave up trying to keep up with her at this point.
Realised how useful Marksman is against Ravagers. Revenant rounds into the "nose" with Marksman is a great way to keep them down and kill them. Full extraction on that one.
Last game to pick up loose change to buy another Vet+ box. Giant/ Cerberus. Plenty of Assaulty people. One Asari Vanguard. Not keen on her style. She'll run down the slope and then Charge to the far end while we are still on the upslope. Difficult to support that way. The rest are good folks, we cleaned up in FIBUA style fairly well. Changed to a Phaeston, much more managable for my style. Phaeston on AP rocks decently against an Atlas, strips it fairly decently.
Team fell apart on Wave 10 on a Hack. Just got slapped silly I think -- crossfire by a pair of Turrets from nowhere. I think our ability to close-fight is good but no ranged support which could have destroyed the turrets safely. Still, enough credits to get the Vet+ box... two shotties. (rolls eyes.)

Anth: Yeah, Turians cant roll.
Lambda: You cant roll?
Anth: You cant roll.
Lambda: Huh?!
Anth: You just, you know, with dash, you cant roll!
Lambda: Oooooh, you cant roll!
That totally made my evening, and other friend evening as well.

Then I die (because stupid Turians can't roll *grr*) after having dealt with the first large group of enemies as I ran into a horde of Assault Troopers and get riddled with projectiles. Well, no big thing, someone is right over there. I wait, ... and wait. And then am about to get executed: "Ah, well, I am sure as hell not blast any medigel now" -> gets stomped. Twenty seconds later, everyone is down. Complete party wipe. On wave 1. With a total playtime of 1:38 ... I double check my mic -> it's off ... good -> bursts into maniacal laughter!
Leave as soon as I can, kept laughing for about twenty minutes.

Yeah sometimes the vets do crazy things. Dunno why.
Got an early start to my "night". Two games before I went back into SP.
First is Soldier, Reactor/ Reaper. Took the Phaeston out. Gotta say on a Human Soldier the Phaeston is very good. Got downed on Wave 1... uh. Got separated and cornered by the Cannibals..
After that it went ok. Nailed myself a Banshee with the Phaeston -- AP mod works great on her. Brutes aren't so cooperative but thankfully this weekend they are rarer. Ravagers aren't so dangerous now that I know how to stagger lock them. Full extraction on this one.
Soldier hit 20 after this. I promoted him, now in my SP the N7 promotees account for the lion's share of EWS. xD
So.. rolled up an Asari Vanguard (I hear rolling eyes already...). And promptly got kicked in my first game. Kinda rude, but understandable. A bad Vanguard is just bad for the team.
Anyway, I managed to get onto White/ Cerberus. Had a fun time Stasis/ Disciple the Cerbies, but the Disciple seriously not enough kick. Need to find something better. Other than that, didn't really try Biotic Charge, because it's just stupid if you don't know what you are doing (and I certainly don't at this point!). Full extraction on this one.
The last game I tried I got dropped but worth mentioning. Dagger/ Geth. Using a shottie means I'm doing Stasis duties and it's a bit off. Gotta find a balance. Anyhow, memorable -- trying to Charge a trooper, only to foul up and target the Geth Prime... wasn't smart. Survived it, only to get d/c'ed later... sheesh.

Heh, i can do you one better--silver cerbies on ghost, I was playing my quarian infiltrator with Widow I, equpped with the piercing mod (it apparently does stack!). A phantom with full or nearly full barriers and health was dancing down the stairs by the L-shaped cover in the front there, by the LZ. Behind her was a guardian. I cloaked, managed a headshot on the phantom, and the shot blew her head off and continued through the guardian's shield to pop his as well. I think that's my favorite MP moment to date. |D
Anyway. This thread is oddly enjoyable. Please continue.

I did have a memorable match last night least for me. I joined a bronze game to try out a new weapon and noticed that the other 3 players had N7 ratings of 1, 1, and 4. I don't mind playing with new people cause you never know what to expect. The first few waves was an adventure and I probably had about 10 revives in that time. I made the suggestion that everyone try working as a team since things die faster and we all live longer. I didn't realize that they would actually listen to me and after that I found it kinda funny and cute that all 3 started following me everywhere like little puppies. We finished the match with a full extraction which was a nice way to end the night.

Nice to see some people have the sense of accepting tips. Hopefully those people will continue with that spirit, I can see some good players sprouting from this ground.

To be honest, I find the forums tend to be quite negative in nature. Not unexpected of course, but still...
Anyhow.
kiko1287 -- how did three players managed NOT to kill a geth trooper? I didn't know there's a Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Geth (SPCG) or some such..
Viquey: that's quite unique. Once a Phantom gets into her combat crouch it's hard to get a second headshot to someone behind. The nice thing about Guardian Dual headshot is that since the models are the same, so long you line them both up, you know you can score headshots on both.
Air Quotes: How do you find the Disciple? I got a Lvl I, it feels very.. airy.. in its punch. Not quite enough for me to put on my Asari Vanguard -- took it off for a Hornet III.
Aryon69: Heh, passing the knowledge & experience on. When I first started out, I made it a point to tail someone whom I think had more experience. Works for me...
So, cap off tonight's MP..
3 matches, Glacier/ Cerberus/ Asari Vanguard, Giant/ Cerberus/ Asari Vanguard, Ghost/ Geth/ Infiltrator. I swear, I had the settings on Anything/ Bronze. EA Server kept tossing Cerberus at me.
As mentioned, I didn't quite like the lack of take-down with the Disciple. Need to level that gun first. So I recently gotten a Locust III, hear good things about it, so took it out for a ride.
The Glacier match was.. strange. For one, was getting used to the Locust. For two, there's this strange Human Sentinel running around.. not really a team player I think, didn't revive or go for objectives until he had no choice. One objective wave, the rest of us all died (me at #3 objective... push through Cerbies but too thick to survive capping it), so he had to go around doing them. End of the match, he closed with Cobra'ing an Engineer.
Yeah you heard correctly. He Cobra'ed an Engineer. I actually watch him reach over his back for the launcher and went "WTF?".
Before you start ROFL, his next kill in the next Wave was a Guardian. With a Cobra. WTF?
In the end, Extracted fully. Had a fun dance with a Phantom, all my Stasis bubble went all over the place. A Human Soldier IIRC ended it by filling the Phantom full of holes. Also, I had the pleasure of catching a Nemesis in mid flip with the Stasis, so she was captured off the ground with her ass in the air.. nice ass, btw.
Giant/ Cerberus is also similarly odd. Everyone running around with SMGs or ARs. Human Vanguard, Asari Vanguard, Soldier, Engineer I think. So... quite interesting. Short ranged firefight mostly. Against Cerbies it's always cute. The Wave 10 Hack was quite hectic, lots of Cerbies rushing the position, and lots of Engineers to dispatch. Messy.
Wave 11 Extraction was also hectic, since we had no support fire from across the street. Ended up Cobra'ing the Atlas away, then Stasis-headshot as I can. 4 jokers in the Extraction Zone makes for a tight living. Full Extraction, thankfully.
One odd thing is that in the last few matches I find that it's like as if the players didn't know the spawn points and what's the effect of capping spawns. I had Reapers flanking our position because a Vanguard decide to go forth, I had people caught by surprise by sudden fire, I had a whole team concentrate to the front and get hit by Cerbies from the back. Seems off, no?
Anyway, last match was Ghost/ Geth. Geth is tiresome. Not unwinnable, but having to keep watching for those fast Hunters is a pain. Team was experienced, first time I saw a Carnifex-filtrator. Works well, apparently.. he went to the top (I was #2, and that usually doesn't say much about the team... this time was ok). Definitely had a Vanguard, which came in last, surprisingly.
Didn't do so hot on Wave 1.. was still trying to get used to the team and the Geth trolled me by going by the side way. Grr. Subsequent Waves were much more busy. I usually bunker (hence my low score) but this time I was moving around a bit more than usual.. usually because I got badly flanked by the Geth and had to run away.
Anyhow, got myself 2 Geth Primes. One with assistance, one mostly by myself. 4~5 headshots. The solo'ed Prime was done while dancing with a pair (!) of Hunters.. I killed the Prime and then bugged out straight away. Came back, thought there was only 1 Hunter, but turned out there was a pair. Killed both and bugged out.
BTW, nowadays I watch the health bar quite closely and use Ops Survival quite often. Wonder how many does that?
Extraction, got overwhelmed by Pyros and Hunters. BW should tone it back a bit, it's suicidal to extract against Geth. Problem is that there was a coordinated main thrust and flank push, and Ghost had 2 possible avenues for flank pushes, and you can't cover both at the same time with one player. Geth in particular coordinates their pushes very well; I suspect this is more because the Hunters could get there faster, so it appears more coordinated. Had to be revived but we got our Full Extraction.

Since the other soldier classes are quite boring I was just level 8 and only some points in carnage and rage.
Quick joined a match (silver), Didn't expect to get away with it though since I was so low level and the probably would just kick me.
Turned out they didn't, but the other 3 had "PGR or PGS" in the start of their name and two of them were aBF3 Soldiers level 20 and the other a 14 adept drell.
First wave I started out by just charging up my Graal and heavy melee all I saw and delivered some spiky mail to some guardians.
For some reason my team members kept dying so I had to rev them quite a lot. I to ofc died more than I wanted to because of my low level and to much melee fun.
Then on round 3 The drell lifted a Cerberus trooper just as I was about to heavy melee him, so by the time me heavy melee hit, the trooper was already levitating so the FLEW away far as HELL xD
I laughed so hard while I saw the trooper fly off in to the sky and it remind me of the good old days when I watched pokemon and saw Team rocket fly off xD
PS: It was firebase Giant so there is a good view for watching flying troopers xD

If the latter:
Silver/Geth/Firebase Dagger.
Team was Drell Adept 20, Human Engineer 16, Human Infiltrator 5 and me (Human Infiltrator 19). Waves 1-5 went textbook, drell went down each wave, engineer would save his lousy ass, infiltrator would hit sweet bloody nothing. Should have noticed something was off when the other three were tooling around dirtside instead of staying on the bridge.
Come wave 7 all three of them die of Hunter/Pyro killteams and I solo the wave. Same deal with wave 8 (Adept and Engineer down) and 9 (Adept and Infiltrator down). Got kill objectives on wave 10, lost all three of them after the first prime, proceeded to cloak and doubletap all remaining targets with the Valiant (Lovely gun that).
Extraction wave had all three of them bunkering down in the EZ and getting overrun by primes and hunters. 2 minutes of scoping, shooting and cloaking later, us infiltrators manage a partial extraction in the face of four primes and a couple of metric tons of Geth. Total time: 30:25, equipment used: 1 medigel.

Good night, even if I did get kicked/ d/c'ed. Quite decent actually...
Enough games to shake a stick at:
Reactor/ Geth/ Asari Vanguard
Ghost/ Cerberus/ Asari Vanguard
Reactor/ Reaper/ Asari Vanguard
Reactor/ Reaper/ Asari Vanguard
Glacier/ Geth/ Asari Vanguard
Giant/ Cerberus/ Human Infiltrator
6 games more or less back to back, no wonder my shoulders are aching...
As you can see I was levelling my Asari Vanguard. Not very happy with her, really not my playstyle.
First game is with a very experienced group, they just went stomping around reactor. Krogan.
Second game was again with another very experienced group, against Cerberus. Krogan.
Krogan.
Too bad my connection to EA Server dropped then and I couldn't extract. Would have loved to stuck with that team a bit more.
Next, Reactor/ Reaper. A good team again, I remember a Salarian, an Asari... maybe a Krogan.
Reactor/ Reaper. What is with Reactor today? I want to see sunlight. Boarded the shuttle with 3, entered Reactor with 2.... eh. Ok, we can try this... Wave 1, Wave 2 ok. Wave 3 hacking. Both me and the Salarian got swamped by Cannibals and Marauders. Died so many times it wasn't funny. We managed the Hack, but couldn't get up. Both of us gave up spamming Medigel.. Wave 3 Failure.
Last game with the Asari Vanguard. Glacier Geth. Still no Sunlight. Went in with 4, dropped to 3. 1 Widow Soldier, the same Salarian Infiltrator, myself. Front went off well, the Widow user was a bit too lone wolf but we could hack it. We were a bit mean to the Geth Primes today though, just kept using Cobras on them. Wave 10 hack, corridor console. Madhouse but thankfully with 3 it wasn't so bad. Biotics, lift grenades, frag grenades.. lots of things flying around. In the end, finished the hack, got the goods, bugged out but there was really nothing much left to kill.
Found a neat trick. If you are alone with a Pyro, you can charge it to stagger it, and then hop back quick enough to get out of its flamer range before it recovers. Can Charge, Stagger, step back and pop its cranium with a Carnifex. Desperate measures though.
Interestingly, the Salarian was using an Incisor III. Works for him... Full extraction on this one too.
Last game. Took out the Infiltrator to relax with some sniping. Giant/ Cerberus. Ah sunny Tuchanka. Sun at last. Blasted radiation... Good team, was in a hurry so didn't quite see what they were. BF3 Soldier, Infiltrator, Infiltrator (myself), Krogan.
Midway, Team of 4 became Team of 3.. Grr. EA servers. The greatest enemy of them all...
Another Wave, another Phantom got close enough. Krogan charged off not realising the Phantom was still alive. Couldn't nailed that little twerp before she killed the Krogan. Finally took her out with a bodyshot before she killed my other teammate.
Extraction, the two made their way across, I stayed in the sniper nest. Cerberus kept sending Guardians up the ramp.. distracting, I kept sending them back. Took off a few mooks then ran down into extraction. No problems with 3 persons in the zone, Full Extraction.
So, my Infiltrator is Level 20 now, I'm holding her back a bit to see what this weekend's event is. Asari Vanguard's 19, will work on her a bit more but not too keen on her.. I'm not really playing a Vanguard and to be honest an Adept is probably more my style.
Thinking of starting a Salarian Engineer and a Krogan something. Let's see which one more interesting.

Talking about Mordin, I just rolled up a Salarian Engineer...
First game.. Dagger/ Geth. I nearly fell out of my chair laughing. If EA Servers ever gave a sign....
As expected, a Salarian is going to be vicious against Geth. Poor Geth Primes. Drained in their prime. Eh that pun wasn't intentional. Mantis X not so good in non-infilitrator hands but not much of an alternative.. Maybe to explore pistols. Very nice to have a stagger attack against the Pyros, but the Hunters were still problematic to target. Full extraction.
Next game, just to get enough credits for a Vet+ box, got me Glacier/ Reaper. Here, not so good. ED was useful against the mooks but not so great against the big boys. Not used to Decoy yet so just made a royal mess. Mantis not so effective against Ravagers. Did introduce a Banshee-Brute party to a Cobra though, as she walked up the ramp from the basement -- I remembered to aim at the floor at the last minute.
Need to rethink this. Maybe Pistol is the correct way to go.
Partial extraction.. because the infiltrator decided to go out to play at the last few seconds. Ah well.
Oh yes. I'm now experiencing the Random Box syndrome. Do I need so many Shotguns??!? <_< <_<

Things went quite well my team mates seemed competent besides from the lv 18 asari vanguard who got killed on the first wave. Long story short I was rez pony for a while on the later rounds to the point where everyone was down at the exact same time. Given my distance I could only save one. I had a choice to make. With a phantom still around I needed bait, and bait with stasis is better than bait without. I chose the asari, and it worked. She unwittingly drew the phantom in and stasised her. I took it out. The vanguard couldn't handle the atlus though and was downed once again. Didn't want to risk my neck twice and as the atlus was the last enemy it was an easy kill.
Things then went swimmingly up to wave ten where we had to enable devices. I knew exactly what to do. I went for the first device, cloaked and proceeded to await easy activation. Then my team mates decided to join in the fun, not realising that they were leading the enemy straight to my doorstep. Very annoying but I assume they were just trying to cover me and didn't know I was cloaked. I had enabled before two atluses, aslusi? What's the plural for that? Anywho I was out of there before they showed up. The next device was close by so I sprinted to it. Cloaked again I uploaded, a third of the bar had gone and again I was joined by another team mate (a lv 19 soldier I think) who decided he wanted to enable the device himself with an atlus just around the corner. I froze in panic. I couldn't move without breaking the upload and I wasn't about to waste a cobra because my team mate was an idiot. So I let him get downed by the altus. My mistake was trying to save him, he got up but my shields were gone. I rolled away out of danger into the next hallway, and found myself face to face with four phantoms. Just my luck. I used a shield, tried to cloak but in the chaos I was grabbed and insta killed. The rest of the team swiftly followed without their rez pony.
*sigh* ...I should have used a cobra. <_<

Yes, bait with Stasis is usually better. More so if Stasis Bubble.
=============================
Front end of tonight's matches.
Wanted to level my Asari Vanguard. She's sweet 18, time to hurry up and get her out of the way. But first match.. heh, Geth, ok let's trot out Kermit the Salarian...
So, a Salarian (Engineer), a Krogan (Soldier), a Quarian (Widow'trator) and an Asari (Adept) walked onto Tuchanka. All relatively high level, and good N7 scores. You can predict how it goes.
Didn't disappoint.
Salarian ED is deadly against Geth, and Geth aren't too bright against Drones, are they? Even the Prime is a bit stupid. I still need to work on the deployment though, a bit fouled.
So Krogan Smashed, Salarian Zapped, Quarian shot things full of holes, Asari do what Asari do. The Geth just got blizzarded into the ground. Good session. Full extraction.
Oh yeah, Pistols are the way to go. Carnifex, Barrel, AP. Good enough for what I need the Salarian to do.
Got back to base, called the Asari out, got into a match a bit too quick and ended up not noticing it was Glacier/ Geth. Ah well.. need to level her anyway. 2 Asari Vanguards (!), a Salarian and Human Engineers. Nope, not going to end well for the Geth either. And no, predictable it didn't. With Stasis and ED and IIRC Overload... Geths aren't having a good day.
Learnt a bit about Vanguarding from the other Asari, the small nature of Glacier means there's no "charge to the other side of the map" Clown-Guardness. I actually remembered I have Lift Grenades -- and actually used them. Even did a few Charges. My little Asari's growing up.
Extraction became essentially bubble wrap, and working on the Pyros. We double Cobra'ed the Geth Prime, AP Carnifex some Pyros, Stasis a doorway so that stupid Hunters walk straight into the Bubble... and froze for waiting guns. So yeah, the Geth never even got through onto the landing pad. Full extraction.
So liked the team enough to stay with it for my last game, but since it's still Geth, I swapped back to Kermit. Lost the Asari, but gained.. a Quarian. Engineer.
... So four Engineers walked onto White to fight the Geth. 2 Salarian, 1 Human, 1 Quarian. Yeah. Not a good day to be Geth.
Can't even remember details. Balls of lightning. Random gunfire. Geth screeching. I'm ashamed to report I was downed by a Geth Pyro
15 minutes. That's how long it took for us to lash the Geth into a wrecked, trembling ball. Full Extraction, not a single Geth got to the platform.
On a more serious note, when a Salarian can turn a corner, see 4 Geth Troopers, zap every one of them alone and unsupported.. yeah, ED's due for a nerf. Sigh. Enjoy while it lasts, I guess.
