3 Games tonight -- all to get Danube the Phoenix Adept promoted.
Before the first game started, I decided to swap out the Carnifex for a Harrier II. I figured, may as well.. Since the Phoenix Adept is a bit behind on Bioplosion goodness, I may as well make him a "Soldier with Blue Balls"..
First game, Condor/ Reaper. Wash. Was on Wave 6 or 10 when my entire ISP went off the air... Bleh. Was a good run too, Harrier proving quite good with the PA.
First
ACTUAL game, Hydra/ Geth. <_< Geth is, IMO, harder than the norm. Still.. I know the team had a Krysae, on a Batarian Soldier I think, plus at least one Geth.. Worked hard on this one. Harrier is excellent with Incendiary ammo on it. There was one Objective Wave, Wave 6 IIRC, that the SpawnMaker just kept sending Pyros, Hunters and Rocket Troopers along the "courtyard". I was near the ammo point and just shot them up endlessly while my team mates achieved the objectives.
Wave 8 or so, I managed to ambush a Geth Prime from behind; rapid fire shredded him and claimed the kill. Extraction Wave, the SpawnMaker again sent the Geth along the floor in; I merely shot them up. The speed of the Harrier plus Lash (and to a lesser extent, Singularity) meant Danube the PA was able to quickly yank things around for a squirt of Incendiary. That usually put things out of commission. Full Extraction, and #2 on the scoreboard -- I knew I worked for it, and was behind the Geth Engineer.
And
ahead of the Krysae Batarian. The Krysae was very distracting, but it didn't get the job done on Hydra because we were using a mobile playbook; The Geth saw where the enemy were, and we flanked and gunned. The Batarian was more static and thus not able to score. But he did dominate the open fire lanes.
Second game, Hydra/ Reaper. <_< <_< 2 Geth (GI/ GE) and a Human Engineer. GI was low level, with a Krysae. Wave 3, Objectiive Cap (IIRC); Geths ran off and I was busy covering the Engineer who went for #1 (right under me!).
Then both Geth got floored. Eh. What were they made of, tissue paper?

Both the Engineer and the PA worked to get the Geth back up but one bled out. Then the Engineer and the PA formed a wing and started tackling the various objectives... while the Geth died again. Somehow. I think it medigel'ed back up, we basically quickly capped the objectives and got the Wave over.
Was getting a bit annoyed at the way the Geth were able to exploit their Hunter mode to see where the enemies were; eventually, I worked out that wherever they are going, I just go there via a flanking route. Typically will end up pincering the enemy while they are fixated with the Geth.
Worked a bit
too well. Sometimes the Geth will back off when too big a group shows up, so I end up flanking.. eh, at one point, 3 Ravagers and a Brute at the ramp up to the Blue Ball room. Prioritized on the lead Ravager, killed with a quick clip from the Harrier, then went on to number 2. Killed Ravager 2, then realised Ravager 2 was blocking the Brute.. Should've gone for the Brute first. <_< <_<

Brute popped up onto the platform, I got lucky in that my Harrier Incendiary AP hit the soft spot on its left arm (without armour), so he got clipped down first. Got him to do his roar animation, during which I just off'ed him. Got into cover to regroup against Ravager 3 (who was out in the courtyard but with no good LOS), but by then my teammates have regrouped and took it out.
Decided to rest there a bit and restock on ammo. Knew that with me spawn-camping there, and with where my teammates are likely to be, the spawn was predictable... and it was where I guessed it would be. Next Wave, popped back through Ball room, and guess what? A whole line of asses pointed back at me: Brute, 2 Ravagers, Banshee (IIRC) and some Cannibals.

They never saw me. Prioritized Ravagers and they never got a shot off. Think I took the Brute down, and may have also killed the Banshee (of course, this is with help from the team gleefully attracting their attention). Ran the Harrier dry and nearly died to a Cannibal, but got him first. Good wave, good wave.

Wave 10, Cap Objective. #1 went ok. #2 I had to dip in as the Geth seems keen to kill rather than cap. #2 and #3 capped, #4 was at the junction and I ran straight into 3 Cannibals... dropped while capping. Thankfully, the Engineer was on the ball and pushed the Cannibals back while a Geth revived me. #4 capped, we mopped up.
Extraction wave, someone sent a Cobra at the Banshee, so that's a non-issue.

Took the Brute down along the long passageway on the back, then popped over to the catwalks to help kill the Brute along the floor. After that, fairly peaceful and quiet. Full Extraction; the Geth were playing but managed to get in on time.
Worked hard for this one, and it shows -- #1 on the board, GE #2. Wasn't easy, had to be very alert, and I got lucky when a whole spawn didn't notice me even while I was shooting it up. (and that 3 Ravagers couldn't hit me due to either angle or the lip of the platform). Harrier was great, but lacking ammo -- as usual.
Third and last game, Goddess/ Cerberus. At last an eas(ier) opponent. Decided to go all out, and loaded with Incendiary III, AR Amp II, AR gear, shield Batt II.. yeah well, go out and kick butt.
And really did! Cerbie Troopies just need a few hits and the DoT will kill it, and it cuts through Atlases like a buzzsaw. I was fortunate enough to get a clean kill on a Phantom -- saw her coming and nailed her dead with Harrier shots. Quite a riot, especially since my teammates didn't use the usual spawn cap and ended up sending a lot of spawn along my way.
Wave 6 Hacking. Expended all ammo, lost my way to the ammo dump, wandered around flinging biotics. <_< <_<

An interesting thing to note is that due to the ambient lighting, Centurion smoke grenades are not as effective -- you can still see the shape through the smoke, without scope. I shot at least two Centurions through their own smoke.. embarassing, for
them.

Wave 10 Objective Cap. #1, #2 and #3 went ok; cut through an Atlas on the way, pretty silly actually, caught it at the broken wall entrance, didn't let it have a LOS to me and just buzzsaw it down.
But #3 set us up in the middle of the hall in the midst of a vicious crossfire. I got floored, my first reviver got floored, #2 got the job done.. Got up, decided to get out of dodge and stupidly enough the way I chose to go had a Phantom at the door.

<_<
Face to face I nailed her first with a Harrier burst -- and she's on fire now. The nice thing is that Harrier seems to stagger quite easily, so she was stagger-locked and I killed her off fairly easily. Got lucky there. Capped #4, and cleaned up.
Extraction Wave, stayed behind, made some noise. then retreated through the main entrance. Saw the Atlas coming through the ruined wing, and was cutting it down when a Cobra came out of nowhere and smacked it to bits (good hit too). I was muttering, "If you got the Cobra, why didn't you use it earlier?"... then I realised through good luck, bad spawn capping by my team, I usually ended up being the first to encounter the Wave Atlases... so I usually burn through a clip or two to kill it. So my team never got the chance to unload a Cobra at the Atlas...

Full Extraction, including picking up the Asari when the Atlas put her down. With the loadout and the good fortune, no surprise I was #1 on the scoreboard, but it was also work to get there.
Overall, putting the Harrier on Danube the PA turned out to be a good move. Once I gave up trying to be a Biotic God, as a Biotic Soldier Danube is actually fairly decent. Good gun, ability to herd crowds with Singularity, ability to pull mooks out of cover, coupled with capability to drop bosses, meant he's very flexible and useful -- but it is very run and gun and you really do need to work at it.
And to cap off a very good night of gaming, the Victory Pack was released. I restarted my Xbox, popped back in, and was rewarded with a Valiant III.
