Early start.

1st game was with Kelgar, the MQE. Wanted to get familiar with him for the weekend, loaded him up with Falcon X with Disruptor ammo and DIG into Goddess/.. Geth. :o :o

Initial drop in was chaotic because the LZ was overran by Geth, but the various new DIG team cleared the zone. Subsequent waves, between Disruptor grenades, Arc Grenades and Tact Scan.. I got myself two Primes I think, and Hunters were a lot less a problem. I actually Incinerated a Prime, setting off a Tech Burst which killed its Turret. :D Full Extraction if memory serves.

So, confident of Kelgar now, just need to wait till the weekend, get him into Silver, and then promote him.

Moving on, revisiting the Krysae with my Infiltrator. Wanted to double check my initial thoughts on it, given the recent uproar here. Glacier/ Reaper. Honestly? Bad mistake. <_< Unfamiliar gun, unfamiliar team, and team is mostly lows -- N7 16/ 17. Really a screwed up run with a wipe on Wave 10.

Simply couldn't get the act together, couldn't exploit the rifle. There was a undercurrent of lag, which threw my timing off; the projectile lag also threw me off, and my timing simply wasn't right. The Krysae requires a certain engagement distance and a certain on-the-ballness and Glacier wasn't it and I wasn't it... no surprise. It was powerful, I loaded it with AP ammo, should have gone with Disruptor. Even like this, it cut down a couple of Banshees easily. On a better day, after I bothered to learn it better? Maybe.

Anyway, wiped on Wave 10. Embarrassing. :crying: So I stuck with the team and pulled out the Valiant.

Muuuuuch better.

As found out yesterday, Disruptor ammo, AP mod, Damage Mod and Valiant = Bent Over Banshee. Stormed through the first few waves, just murderized the Reapers. Later waves are more hectic as I was endlessly running around. I account for at least 2, maybe 3 Banshees; A Striker user accounted for #4, and Extraction Wave Banshee was taken down by someone.

Ravagers were priority targets and it's gratifying to have something that can deal with it adequately.. Krysae IV not quite adequate against them. Valiant II did the job properly. Two waves I caught a pair in the hub room and pelted them with Sticky Grenades. Followed up and mostly got them -- one wave was just a bit out and got brought down by the Ravagers instead.

One wave, Wave 8 I think.. Banshee popped out and I got a few shots on her, then her escorts started peppering me. We eventually dealt with the rest, and left the Banshee and her Brute. She chased a teammate into the Science Lab from the Landing Pad, while I took the corridor and emerged into the Lab behind them as they went down the ramp. Went through the Brute -- 3 shots in the back killed it off, hopped over the carcass, and plowed the rest of the ammo into the back of the Banshee -- clean kill.

Extraction Wave, got sandwiched bad between Brutes, Ravagers, and a lot of Cannibals. Got floored and my teammates couldn't get to me... still on the stockpiling runs. So bled out, Partial Extraction. Good game, #2 on the list.

Valiant II vs. Krysae IV? Well.. I prefer the Valiant. More responsive, faster time on target. Krysae IV in the right hands dominates and is bad for a lopesided team IMO, having been on the receiving end (Vorcha with a Krysae).

Back to the game. Thinking of levelling Lynette and promoting her out.

Back end of the night. 2 games with Lynette the Grenadier.

Hydra/ Reapers. Open country is good for a Grenadier, and she got down to business. I wasn't looking to top the table so went easy on the Reapers, but still.. Wave 3 (IIRC), Hack at the base of the bunker. 3 teammates rush to setup there, I hung back at the ammo point at the Landing Zone.

A veritable horde of Cannibals, Husks and Marauders started charging at the hack zone. Me, I got a perfect LOS to the two openings in the wall there that they must push through, and the L-shaped area behind... so Cryo Falcon rounds started landing around them. Frozen Reapers abound, staggered left and right. Ah Glorious. :D :D. Don't think the hack zone was ever seriously challenge, the thoroughness that I froze the zone over. Got lucky there because the AI didn't send any my way.

Other than that a fairly routine mission. Played around a bit on Extraction, I remember I was holding off the usual suspects at the far end corridor. Fell back in good order, and a quiet Full Extraction. IIRC, top of table, plus a nice 75 Kill medal, for the first time.

Last game with Lynette, as she approaches 20; Glacier/ Cerberus. Absolutely punished the Cerbies. :wizard: There were waves when I just wiped out entire spawns on my own.. one memoriable one, I was wondering why the Cerbies weren't coming up from the basement, so went down. Turned out they were still spawning, so I was treated to troopers landing left and right around my ears. Grenades packed a punch but this is a bit much.. thankfully, the team turned up and finished off the remmants.

Got floored by a Phantom, got too close to the spawn and the Atlas was distracting me. Medi-geled, got up and slapped her silly later with either the Falcon or a Concussive Shot.

Extraction Wave was fairly uneventful. Managed to damage an Atlas but got chased off by his supporting cast. Later, faced the same Atlas again from the corridor into the Landing Pad, but an Overload from an Engineer took care of that. Full Extraction.

So Lynette's 20 (again), got my first two 75 kills medal. :D Quite an accomplishment. Anyway, promoted her off again.

Back to recruitment. Brought out a Krogan Battlemaster -- always wanted to try him. Marack the Battlemaster trot out spec'ed for melee damage, at Level 18.. Cards.

First game with Marack, DIG onto Reactor/ Geth; Still trying to figure out the class so didn't do so hot, but Reactor's good for a Melee class. Took part in a Escort mission, Heavy Melee'd my way back to the zone, hey it works!

By the end of that game, got some idea how to use the class. Finished the Extraction Wave by charging into a Geth Prime and killing it off.. can't remember by Melee or by shottie -- probably shottie. Had fun killing off two Geth Turrets by headbashing it. Full Extraction after we came back late -- was verging on stupidity when we started to go back to the EZ.

Reactor taught me how to use the class but not what it can do, so brought Marack out again. Dagger/ Reapers -- now this is a good test. Dagger's good for snipers and any CQC class has to be careful not to cause bad spawns that would affect the sniping. Accidentally took a Claymore into the game.

Turns out CQC classes are not really a problem if they used brains. I'd hide on the Dark Side, to suppress the spawn here (to prevent flanking). Then once the Wave starts, I'll dip down onto the Pipeworks, and then Biotic Charge whatever's coming. Works out fairly well.

Realised halfway through that I spec'ed my Barrier for melee damage so I should keep it on, not blow it off... ah well.

Big boys started showing up. Got into melee with Brutes, often ending with a Shottie to the face. Ravagers became priority after I got floored by one of them.. Biotic Charge and a shottie followed by a headbutt usually did the trick, had to step lively to avoid the poo though.

First Banshee to show up, I charged her, then danced around her and finally put her down with a Claymore shot. :wizard: Second Banshee, sync-killed me after I took her Brute escort down :(.

Third Banshee I remembered, Extraction Wave. She spawned on the pad, I moved forward and charged her. Claymore, then finally headbutted her into submission. . Immediately after that, her Brute escort came charging in -- Biotic Charge, Claymore, and a heavy melee took him down in short order. :wizard: :wizard: Backed off after that, went to the evac zone, and dusted off. Full Extraction.

Not a very subtle class, the Krogan Battlemaster. Both came back with the Gold 15 melee kill medal, not surprising. The first game I came in dead last -- after all DIG on Wave 3 -- but the second, decently well (#2 or #3). Getting to know the class, now to headbutt my way to Level 20. :D

Slow night. 2 games.

Am actually on sick leave, so didn't intend to game very long. Picked out the Long Rifle -- Human Infiltrator. Kroguard takes too much brainwork for me to work with it now and the "Prof" MQE doesn't need the XP.

Game on! Condor/ Reaper. Obviously off form but not too bad. Lured a Banshee over the hill and slowly killed her dead with Disruptor AP Valiant. Picked off a long range Brute.

On an Escort wave, made the mistake of going for the package too early -- got caught in a Ravager kill zone. Got picked up by a Turian who got floored too... after which, I shot the Ravagers first. Before picking up the package, crossing the hill hump, only to run face first into a squad of bad Cannibals... floor again. Took quite a bit to get the package over the hill and into the zone. Full Extraction.

Second game, DIG into... Condor/ Cerberus. Sheesh. Anyway, wasn't too bad either. Nailed a Phantom from range by myself -- a second Phantom I almost nailed but it flipped out and a teammate bagged her. Disruptor on Valiant is very useful as it also helped to strip shields off Atlases. One memorable kill was a Centurion kill -- he popped smoke, but because of the lighting, I was still able to see him through the smoke. Killed through his own cover...

Extraction wave, Atlas popped, I was on the far side of the hill. Got perfect ass shots all the way and nailed it dead. Then proceeded to clean up the Guardians and then Full Extraction.

Definitely off form today. Galatic Readiness is up so I guess mission accomplished. Tomorrow, will do the mission, then maybe get some more time in the Infiltrator to make up.. I should have 3 Charas ready to promote at this rate.

Woozy the whole day. Settled in for a session to clear the Operation.

Kelgar the "Prof" MQE rolled out. First game is Condor/ Geth/ Silver. Not my favourite map, not my favourite enemy. Wasn't too bad, we could handle the first few waves... Then at about Wave 6, I realised we weren't really a team, but two sections. One by obviously experienced people, a Vorcha and a Turian, the other me and a Batarian, who are out of our depths.

Got floored repeatedly over Waves 6 to 10, basically because no teamwork. Setup for a killzone, then my support disappeared running around the map. I'm not sync'ed into the team and they were just moving too rapidly for me to keep up, so I often get sectioned off and killed.. Same for the Batarian. No revive, no attempts to revive. Did medigel myself up once or twice IIRC, but there wasn't a team.

Wave 9, we stuck together, for some reason the experienced guys were at the L pipes. I was very surprised by their decision on this one. So we grouped together, and did decently. Halfway through, when the volume of fire grew too heavy, the two of them bolted away. Batarian and myself just wilted in the fire. Left the two of them against 2 Geth Prime... eventually they died.

So nobody used much medigel, nobody used a rocket.. could've, IMO, when the two of them were against the Geth Primes. But didn't.

Adding insult to injury, when we returned to the lobby, they kicked me out. I was thinking, these guys don't really know teamwork nor exhibit any behaviour towards it. I'd admit I'm not great at Silver, but their attitude and approach doesn't exactly sit well with me.

Not happy.

Second Silver Run: Giant/ Geth/ Silver. Good team this time. Kelgar was able to work his build, by relentlessly freezing the Geth advance and locking Geth down. Learning from the previous experience, I yanked out the Cobra on a Wave 10 Assassination when 2 Geth Primes grouped together inside the Control Room. Boom, no more Geths. Later on the same wave, a concerted Geth push led again by 2 Geth Primes. We were being overwhelmed so again, out came the Cobra. Mopping up was easier after that. Full extraction after that.

Looking at the two teams, I have to say I much preferred the attitude the second team had. First team might have been better individually, but the failure to work as a team meant they couldn't finish the mission. Whereas the second team could and did.

With the Operation personal objective met, I promoted Kelgar and pulled out the Human Infiltrator. DIG into Condor/ Cerberus/ Bronze, Wave 2. First thing I saw was a Trooper taking cover in the LZ.. huh, nobody came to clear. Killed him, moved on. Team had an Asari, a Krogan and I think a Turian, decent mix.

The Asari insisted on camping the L-pipe area, which was odd. That spawn is easily overlooked and torn apart by a lone sniper up top, and her camping there threw my rhythm off. By Wave 5 or so I've adjusted, so not too bad.

Good kill on a wounded Phantom, and with Disruptor rounds Atlas were targets -- kills on at least 2. Otherwise the game was fun.

Stuck with the group. Reactor/ Reaper. Finally, a non-Geth game. Was tired by now, so ended up camping at the lower reactor door. System didn't obliged so I ended up not doing much for the first few rounds. Still, got a good string of kills in one of the waves when the Reapers started pouring down.

Also had good kills on Banshees. Disruptor/ AP Valiant tears through them fairly quick, think I got 2 kills. One of them quite nicely done, spawned on the other lower reactor entrance but I was able to pot at her where I was. When she blinked into the Reactor itself, I just kept shooting.. she died.

A few Ravager kills too, those are good. Up Reactor, shooting down. I spotted them behind a Brute and prioritized them first. Clean kills, and a teammate -- probably the Krogan -- took it out.

Full Extraction was clean, I set up shop shooting down the Overlook corridor early and was able to clean it thoroughly. It was a bit quiet, actually.

Noticed there was a Soldier carrying a Krysae. Was happy to see I outscored the Soldier even though I wasn't trying very hard. Krysae is interesting, but not really great as a weapon. Takes some skill to get the most out of it.

Put the Infiltrator aside, and went with a Sentinel -- actually, a mistake, since I wanted to do a Engineer. Still.. Jinx, Human Sentinel, Level 18. Spec'ed for Biosplosion and took the opportunity to test the newly arrived Harrier.

Goddess/ Geth. Gah Geth again? Geth Infiltrator and Geth Engineer, they were very good and dominated the game... Jinx didn't get much work done because they killed so fast. Harrier is a nice gun but too small an ammo load. Prefer slightly more ammo. Sentinel as a class feels odd, not Adept style, but nothing terribly distinguishing. Game was usual, not bad. Goddess is an ok map if you are on your toes. Full Extraction.

Not really jiving with the Sentinel build. But I can have a few games with it, then promote Jinx. Same for Marak the Kroguard, when I feel better I'll just grind off the few matches left needed to promote him. Think I'll roll with a Asari Justicar with the Harrier for the next 'toon.

Decided to level out Marack the Kroguard.. So many broken connections. Goddamnit Bioware, you need better servers.

Two games that I completed:

Jade/ Reapers. DIG, there was a Kroguard in it too.. any game with two  Kroguard bound to be a lot of bodies bouncing around. And Jade's particularly good for it, lots of cover but also lots of visibility.

Got Sync-killed by the first Banshee that came along.. not good. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/whistling.png[/smilie] Did managed to headbutt at least 3 Brutes to death - Charge, Heavy Melee, Heavy Melee, Charge, Heavy Melee.. works like a charm. Also went for Ravagers, nailed a good number of them. Didn't pick on another Banshee. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie] [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie] [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]

Good clean Full Extraction.

White/ Geth next. Stayed with the team but the other Kroguard bailed. The new team's mostly snipers of one sort or another, so I stuck within the building. They took care of the outside while I cleaned the inside. Very entertaining, Charged and beat up a whole bunch of walking evil robots. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie] [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie] Pyros were a slight problem but wasn't too bad once I figured out not to charge them but to Heavy Melee them instead -- they squishy once the
Heavy Melee bypasses Shieldgate.

Prime showed up and I got downed by one, but served my purpose to hold him up.. the rest of the team took care of the objective and got it as it climbed the stairs.

Also, took care of two packages... Quite funny as a whole bunch of Geth tried to stop us on the second one, but Krogan bulldozing works. [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie][smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]

Full extraction. Picked up a Geth Prime too, by Charging. Overall, I came in #1, was quite surprised because I thought I was just taking out trash in the interior.

Marack hit 20, so I promoted him. Next, went on to Jinx the Sentinel. Didn't have good vibes with her so wanted to promote her out. Had a hard fought Jade fight.. only to be robbed by the
EA server. GRrrr.

Turns out I got lucky; the server credited my Jade fight before it broke the connection.. so:

Jade/ Reaper I think. Harrier is a very nice gun, if a bit empty on the reserves. Can't remember much of this game, but I do know Full Extraction.

After the server decided to talk to me (or the ISP decided I am allowed to talk...) I hooked up with a pair of anti-Cerberus Vanguards. First up: DIG into Glacier/ Cerberus. Wasn't too bad, Harrier showed its colours -- really hard hitting, quite accurate, fast reloading. Really nice. Want to build a Soldier around it already.

I had Incinerate on the Harrier at this point because I wanted to see Willie-Pete dances. Didn't disappoint; side benefit is that the gun zips through Atlas armour like no tomorrow. Quick kills on a pair of Atlases in different waves.

Got downed early in Wave 10; another Vanguard took the package but got downed near the doorway from the Sci Lab to the Landing Pad. I picked it up but didn't get much further. Bled out there, no issue.. figures, 1 Atlas, 2 Vanguards, shouldn't be a big issue. -_-

Turns out was a big issue. Both Vanguards didn't want to charge the Atlas and was taking a very long time to take the Atlas down. Turns out, one of them had a shotgun, the other SMG and pistol.. neither well armed to take on an Atlas, and both are low level -- 6 or 7. Amusing to watch them kite the Atlas around. Eventually it blew and the packages got delivered.

Extraction wave, proved a point by zipping through the Atlas, and killing a few Guardians with direct shots with the AP Harrier -- nowadays I make it a point to equip AP where possible. Not sure if they pick up on it, but Full Extraction anyway.

Jinx was just shy of 20, so I stayed with the group and went in again. This time, took Displacer specifically to counter shields. Got Ghost/ Cerberus. Initially thought I could just handle the Back Street but turned out nobody was suppressing Main Street, so I took up the traditional sniper spot. Some odd Adept ended up DIG in.

Not too bad. Harrier's good enough to spray into the upstairs spawn zone opposite; netted a few kills that way. Killing ground is still killing ground, regardless whether it's an SR or AR you are wielding. Accuracy and volume of fire is excellent from the Harrier, it's just that it bottoms out too quickly for my liking.

Atlas shows up, 80 Displacer rounds from the Harrier will kill it at range. Never really a threat. Aggressive pushing got me a couple of Atlases before extraction.

Had 2 Package Objective Waves this game. I got involved in a couple and was a clean run -- the difficulty is in avoiding open area, once I ducked into the Side Alley buildings it was fairly safe. Ghost's bad Landing Zone worked out for Package runs.

Extraction Wave, turned out to be on the far side due to Wave 10's Hacking. Ended up ambushing the Atlas while it was trying to get down into the Back Street from the Central Pod. Between my shooting and a Vanguard's prodding, the Atlas got confused and tried to get back in.. wasn't too smart there. After that, a bit of mop up of Guardians -- the rest weren't equipped to deal with them -- and a quiet flight out. Partial Extraction, because one of the Vanguards was playing. <_<

Last game for the night, put Jinx the Sentinel away and pulled out the Human Infiltrator. Was quite surprised that the Vanguards kicked the Adept out -- would have been useful. A Vorcha replaced her and we went into Goddess/ Cerberus.

Now that was fun. Initial Waves my Infiltrator was not synced with the team, so I was camping the wrong spot. The Vanguards and Vorcha just tore things to bits.. very aggressive bunch. Wasn't till Wave 5 or 6 that I got into the game. Quick trio of Objective Caps because I was the closest to all three objectives, while the rest were smashing things up.

Wave 8, clean ranged kill of a Phantom -- she walked into the scope and I obliged. Also, a number of times I was fighting the enemy who came through the ruin portions of the map, there is a room with a lot of glass panels? Yup, Valiant with AP zips through those glass panels. Had many kills just zipping Troopers and Centurions through them. Had a memorable one where I headshot a Guardian -- through the glass AND his shield.

Wave 10, hacking in the pool. Good grief this one's terrible. Was just dancing in the pool trying to kill enough things to stay alive, wondering why the hack was taking so long.

....

Why is the ticker telling me "1 Player Hacking"?

...

Vanguards. <_< Vorcha <_<

Not exactly the greatest team in the world, I guess. But it worked, we got the Hack done.

Extraction wave, the Vorcha and myself caught the Atlas in the glass room. I wasn't able to claim this one -- the Vorcha killed it, I was too engrossed taking out mooks who was trying quite hard to kill me. Bugged out from there, got into the EZ with time to spare. Relatively quiet, Full Extraction.

Knew I worked for the game, but was pleasantly surprised to be #1 post-game. The team was ok, just a bit too aggressive and doesn't track the objectives. Vanguards a bit too tentative to hit Atlases, it can be done. Feels like beginners, not sure of what kit to bring. An AP gun would have taken care of the Guardians quickly.

Anyway, promoted Jinx -- wanted her out of the way, will eventually rebuild a Soldier around the Harrier. Adept class is at 16, so figured I might as well run one. Was thinking of running a Asari Justicar again, but settled on a Phoenix Adept instead. After all, gotta see what the fuss was about, no?

RomanowRomanow: You can always start your own thread. :) Give it a try.

Tonight is Ex-Cerberus night! ... not just because of me.

Rolled up an Ex-Cerberus Adept, Danube (for the river). Spec'ed for Smash and Lash (IMO, should be Leash...), and jumped in. DIG into Jade/ Cerberus. Didn't do so hot; Smash simply don't have range, and Lash simply don't have control. Got a few Bioplosion off but nothing on an Adept scale.

What I didn't realised at first was that two of the others were running Ex-Cerberus too.. looks to be both Vanguards. that lead to a LOT of lashing and smashing, and to top it off the last teammate was a Drell. Oooo blue balls everywhere.

Didn't do very hot. Extraction wave, I got ambushed by an Atlas spawn, and got executed by it... well I guess that's something you don't see everyday. Partial Extraction.

That game showed me that the Smash/ Lash Bioplosion route isn't going to work. Too hard to set up and in certain cases you'll be outperformed by your teammate, leaving you to drag your sorry ass behind you. After quite a bit of thought, I did a bit of research and decided to respec the Ex-Cerberus Adept as a Singularity/ Lash Bioplosion guy.

Next game, Ghost/ Cerberus. Works a treat. Singularity does work with Lash, and both CD is significantly small.. 2s or less. So a lot of things flying around. Tagged a Phantom with a Singularity and nailed her long enough for my team to execute her. Atlas are consistently staggered by Lash, which is something new to me -- could be useful. Lash also consistently de-shield Guardians, which is very useful. Full Extraction.

Testing again in Giant/ Geth, again a heavy Ex-Cerb team. Very effective once the line of sight gets clearer. Singularity sucks in the Troopers, then either my Lash or a Biotic Charge will set of the Bioplosion. Not as many as I'd like, but enough to know the basics are sound.

Geth Prime get no love from me tonight. Took 3 Prime kills; last shot from my Carnifex. :D The Ex-Cerb Adept really need a firearm to keep up with the DPS; Lash and Singularity simply does not do enough damage worth squat. Full Extraction was uneventful.

Was thinking I prefer to have a scope on the Carnifex to aim the biotics better (forgetting that I should use auto-targetting instead... stupid. :crying: ). Swapped in and went out to Hydra/ Reaper.

Interesting match. 2 Geths -- GE I think -- and a Batarian. The Batarian's strictly normal; the Geths are very powerhouse. I couldn't keep up. Still, managed to get decent amounts of Biotic work done, and Lash is very useful at getting rid of Husks. It's not great though, since it's pulling Husks faster towards you. :pinched: Team was Cobra happy so I didn't get to see many Banshees, but I did do damage on the Brutes -- think I got a pair. Ravagers, definitely. Still Biotics aren't good against these, and no Bioplosion as far as I can see.

Wave 10 Hack was interesting. In the Blue Ball room, and I got the back door. Cannibals all over the shop. That gave me time and space to patiently set up Bioplosion and a good pile of Cannibal meat was sitting at the entrance by the time the hack was done -- with help from the Geth Engineers, of course.

Uneventful Full Extraction, as one of the Geth didn't waste time and threw a rocket at the Banshee.

Took a break from the Ex-Cerb Adept and went with the Infiltrator. Jade/ Geth; garh. <_< Wasn't really prepared for it so my first few rounds was poor. Then it was Wave 6 -- Package. The first package someone else picked it up, as I was too busy; caught one wave where the spawn was right and I just kept killing Troopers, Pyros and Hunters -- warmed up!

Then for some reason the team was pinned and couldn't get to Package 2, so I sprinted over, picked it up near the columns.. and good grief the direct route was bad -- full of Pyros and Hunters. Had to duck into the ruined lower Balcony and even then there was this persistent Trooper on the other side trying to kill me. Someone managed to dust it off and I delivered the goods in.

Later wave, got ambushed by a Geth Prime spawning behind me, and IIRC he floored me on that one. Got my revenge later again by taking another Geth Prime apart from right behind him -- he never realised I was there (even uncloaked). Well he did once, but I cloaked behind cover and he went back to shooting at my teammates.

Wave 10, Cap Objectives. Again, caught the right spawn, started killing. After some time, realised the team has capped #1, but got pinned again -- think the Geth Prime was still alive. Broke off, sprint for #2 at the upper balcony, capped; #3 was on the far side of a LOT of Geth, on the staircase behind the Landing Zone. Said a quick prayer, Cloaked, RAN through the entire field of Pyros, Rocket Troopers and Hunters (lead by the Geth Prime!)... and made it through, And capped #3 in the clear -- and got away with it. :wizard:

#4 was of course near the columns. <_< Dashed there, saw a Geth trooper with its rear end pointed to me, no cloak.. decided to cap the objective first before capping the trooper. Bad mistake; Trooper capped me. GI following behind took out the trooper and revived me, then went to hold things off; I capped #4, hoping that I don't die before finishing, and just as I finished and started to dodge away, a Hunter took me down. :pinched: :pinched: :crying:

Too tired to think about medi-geling, and the GI was down already, AND we got the money... Maybe it's time to take a break. But no, the GI decided to try -- up'ed, kited the whole gang around, killed two Hunters and 3 Troopers, but finally fell against 2 Pyros in concert. Didn't have the right gear -- Raptor and a pistol. Frankly, a good attempt. :)

So, Wave 10 wipe, a rarity for my Human Infiltrator, but it happens. Geth definitely feels tougher now.

As for the Ex-Cerb Adept.. His biotics don't do enough damage to keep up, he needs a sidearms, but his specialities are pistol or shotgun. I feel he should have been given an AR boost.. the Harrier would be good on him. His powers are more utility than power, but it's good utility; Singularity to freeze troop movement, Lash/ Leash to fling things around. Lash is particularly good at pulling troops out of cover, and consistently stripping Guardian shields, and consistently staggering Atlases. High utility, but terrible damage.

The problem of things being flung too near you can be mitigated by you standing at the edge of a map and just tossing the trash over your head... (works too).

The Bioplosion from his powers alone doesn't seem to be very powerful per se. That's yet another issue.

So, my perspective is that anyone who plays a Ex-Cerb Adept should be prepared to be third tier support -- I don't think he can keep up with an Asari in full flight, but his powers definitely make him very useful. Give him a good gun -- pistol should be good, but I feel he'll shine with a Harrier -- and give him crowd-policing duties, and he should do fine.

Now to get him out of my stable. :D

3 Games tonight -- all to get Danube the Phoenix Adept promoted.

Before the first game started, I decided to swap out the Carnifex for a Harrier II. I figured, may as well.. Since the Phoenix Adept is a bit behind on Bioplosion goodness, I may as well make him a "Soldier with Blue Balls"..

First game, Condor/ Reaper. Wash. Was on Wave 6 or 10 when my entire ISP went off the air... Bleh. Was a good run too, Harrier proving quite good with the PA.

First ACTUAL game, Hydra/ Geth. <_< Geth is, IMO, harder than the norm. Still.. I know the team had a Krysae, on a Batarian Soldier I think, plus at least one Geth.. Worked hard on this one. Harrier is excellent with Incendiary ammo on it. There was one Objective Wave, Wave 6 IIRC, that the SpawnMaker just kept sending Pyros, Hunters and Rocket Troopers along the "courtyard". I was near the ammo point and just shot them up endlessly while my team mates achieved the objectives.

Wave 8 or so, I managed to ambush a Geth Prime from behind; rapid fire shredded him and claimed the kill. Extraction Wave, the SpawnMaker again sent the Geth along the floor in; I merely shot them up. The speed of the Harrier plus Lash (and to a lesser extent, Singularity) meant Danube the PA was able to quickly yank things around for a squirt of Incendiary. That usually put things out of commission. Full Extraction, and #2 on the scoreboard -- I knew I worked for it, and was behind the Geth Engineer.

And ahead of the Krysae Batarian. The Krysae was very distracting, but it didn't get the job done on Hydra because we were using a mobile playbook; The Geth saw where the enemy were, and we flanked and gunned. The Batarian was more static and thus not able to score. But he did dominate the open fire lanes.

Second game, Hydra/ Reaper. <_< <_< 2 Geth (GI/ GE) and a Human Engineer. GI was low level, with a Krysae. Wave 3, Objectiive Cap (IIRC); Geths ran off and I was busy covering the Engineer who went for #1 (right under me!).

Then both Geth got floored. Eh. What were they made of, tissue paper?

Both the Engineer and the PA worked to get the Geth back up but one bled out. Then the Engineer and the PA formed a wing and started tackling the various objectives... while the Geth died again. Somehow. I think it medigel'ed back up, we basically quickly capped the objectives and got the Wave over.

Was getting a bit annoyed at the way the Geth were able to exploit their Hunter mode to see where the enemies were; eventually, I worked out that wherever they are going, I just go there via a flanking route. Typically will end up pincering the enemy while they are fixated with the Geth.

Worked a bit too well. Sometimes the Geth will back off when too big a group shows up, so I end up flanking.. eh, at one point, 3 Ravagers and a Brute at the ramp up to the Blue Ball room. Prioritized on the lead Ravager, killed with a quick clip from the Harrier, then went on to number 2. Killed Ravager 2, then realised Ravager 2 was blocking the Brute.. Should've gone for the Brute first. <_< <_< :crying:

Brute popped up onto the platform, I got lucky in that my Harrier Incendiary AP hit the soft spot on its left arm (without armour), so he got clipped down first. Got him to do his roar animation, during which I just off'ed him. Got into cover to regroup against Ravager 3 (who was out in the courtyard but with no good LOS), but by then my teammates have regrouped and took it out.

Decided to rest there a bit and restock on ammo. Knew that with me spawn-camping there, and with where my teammates are likely to be, the spawn was predictable... and it was where I guessed it would be. Next Wave, popped back through Ball room, and guess what? A whole line of asses pointed back at me: Brute, 2 Ravagers, Banshee (IIRC) and some Cannibals. :o :o

They never saw me. Prioritized Ravagers and they never got a shot off. Think I took the Brute down, and may have also killed the Banshee (of course, this is with help from the team gleefully attracting their attention). Ran the Harrier dry and nearly died to a Cannibal, but got him first. Good wave, good wave.

Wave 10, Cap Objective. #1 went ok. #2 I had to dip in as the Geth seems keen to kill rather than cap. #2 and #3 capped, #4 was at the junction and I ran straight into 3 Cannibals... dropped while capping. Thankfully, the Engineer was on the ball and pushed the Cannibals back while a Geth revived me. #4 capped, we mopped up.

Extraction wave, someone sent a Cobra at the Banshee, so that's a non-issue. Took the Brute down along the long passageway on the back, then popped over to the catwalks to help kill the Brute along the floor. After that, fairly peaceful and quiet. Full Extraction; the Geth were playing but managed to get in on time.

Worked hard for this one, and it shows -- #1 on the board, GE #2. Wasn't easy, had to be very alert, and I got lucky when a whole spawn didn't notice me even while I was shooting it up. (and that 3 Ravagers couldn't hit me due to either angle or the lip of the platform). Harrier was great, but lacking ammo -- as usual.

Third and last game, Goddess/ Cerberus. At last an eas(ier) opponent. Decided to go all out, and loaded with Incendiary III, AR Amp II, AR gear, shield Batt II.. yeah well, go out and kick butt.

And really did! Cerbie Troopies just need a few hits and the DoT will kill it, and it cuts through Atlases like a buzzsaw. I was fortunate enough to get a clean kill on a Phantom -- saw her coming and nailed her dead with Harrier shots. Quite a riot, especially since my teammates didn't use the usual spawn cap and ended up sending a lot of spawn along my way.

Wave 6 Hacking. Expended all ammo, lost my way to the ammo dump, wandered around flinging biotics. <_< <_< An interesting thing to note is that due to the ambient lighting, Centurion smoke grenades are not as effective -- you can still see the shape through the smoke, without scope. I shot at least two Centurions through their own smoke.. embarassing, for them.

Wave 10 Objective Cap. #1, #2 and #3 went ok; cut through an Atlas on the way, pretty silly actually, caught it at the broken wall entrance, didn't let it have a LOS to me and just buzzsaw it down.

But #3 set us up in the middle of the hall in the midst of a vicious crossfire. I got floored, my first reviver got floored, #2 got the job done.. Got up, decided to get out of dodge and stupidly enough the way I chose to go had a Phantom at the door.  <_<

Face to face I nailed her first with a Harrier burst -- and she's on fire now. The nice thing is that Harrier seems to stagger quite easily, so she was stagger-locked and I killed her off fairly easily. Got lucky there. Capped #4, and cleaned up.

Extraction Wave, stayed behind, made some noise. then retreated through the main entrance. Saw the Atlas coming through the ruined wing, and was cutting it down when a Cobra came out of nowhere and smacked it to bits (good hit too). I was muttering, "If you got the Cobra, why didn't you use it earlier?"... then I realised through good luck, bad spawn capping by my team, I usually ended up being the first to encounter the Wave Atlases... so I usually burn through a clip or two to kill it. So my team never got the chance to unload a Cobra at the Atlas...

Full Extraction, including picking up the Asari when the Atlas put her down. With the loadout and the good fortune, no surprise I was #1 on the scoreboard, but it was also work to get there.

Overall, putting the Harrier on Danube the PA turned out to be a good move. Once I gave up trying to be a Biotic God, as a Biotic Soldier Danube is actually fairly decent. Good gun, ability to herd crowds with Singularity, ability to pull mooks out of cover, coupled with capability to drop bosses, meant he's very flexible and useful -- but it is very run and gun and you really do need to work at it.

And to cap off a very good night of gaming, the Victory Pack was released. I restarted my Xbox, popped back in, and was rewarded with a Valiant III. :o:wizard::wub:<3:whistle: Let's see what the Commendation Pack brings....

My personal highlight: one of my squad members opens fire on me with an SMG. He's muttering over his mic "Why. Won't. YOU DIE!". While my character keeps saying things like "hold your fire.". I should note I was a human female infiltrator wearing teal.

Same guy says a little while later: I just got this game. How do I activate my powers?

Another user decides to respond and says "you just hit the powers button on your Xbox."

"which one?"

"the big one on the console itself."

So...

Danube the Phoenix Adept trot out with his Harrier and went into Jade/ Reaper. Quite a workout. Jade, I like, it's compact but with good sightlines, my style of run and gun works with it. Harrier/ Damage/ AP/ Incendiary II tears through Brutes remarkably fast, so I had good times with them. Works decently on Ravagers especially if you can flank them. Didn't bother too much with Banshees. Full Extraction, at #1. Was quite surprised, thought the Vorcha and other two snipers were quite effective. I guess just stormtroopin' along works too.

White/ Reaper. This one didn't go so well. Very experienced Vanguard, obviously out to play. First turn disregarded the firebase up top (with two Male Quarians IIRC) and just charged in. So the team had to rework out the game plan -- I simply ended up camping near the Launch Ramp to suppress those spawn and to catch the inner room spawn. Works out decently, killed a few Brutes there plus Ravagers, think I tagged out one Banshee too.

Had some fun Lashing Husks at that point. Since I was in one corner of the map, Lash on Husks charging at me tended to whip them over my head and off the map -- instant kill without too much work.

Wasn't too bothered by the game -- Vanguard out to play, so not much is going to be left. One Package Wave, I actually surprised my teammates by taking the package around the catwalk for a shorter run -- think they never considered that as a path. Turns out cleaner and faster. The second package I was escort, broke off to try to revive two downed teammates, but ended up ambushed by a whole clutch of Cannibals hiding by the ladder. Floored, but the package was safe and we got back up.

Full Extraction, no real issues. Was bottom half of table, but wasn't pushing too hard -- Danube hit 20, and promoted him out. He turned out to be Soldier with funky utility Biotics, so I wasn't 100% happy.. but as it turns out, he was one of my more effective, due to the Harrier.

Swapped to Infiltrator. First was into Jade/ Geth, and I was curious about the Kishock -- tried it out. Couldn't hack it, ended up bottom of table. Didn't mind the charging, but the delay and more random flight path meant I can't reliably aim it. By the end of the match I could hit something with it.. like a big honking red Geth Prime. <_<

Things that got hit did satisfactorily fold up and bounce away though. Overall, I didn't like it.

Still things weren't too bad. We got Fully Extracted, and I was keen to switch back to the Valiant -- got the Valiant III and wanted to try it. Unfortunately the group switched to Silver and I bailed...

... into a Wave 6 Gold Goddess/ Geth. WTF?

I didn't even realise at first, until I was wondering why this assassination target Geth Prime is still standing after so many Valiant shots. Once the inevitable Pyro flame claimed me, I realised it was Gold and watched as two Geth and a Salarian Engineer keeled over... eventually. Wave 6 wipe. No money, some XP.

Finally got into a Dagger/ Cerberus game. Was a bit off form, competing against a Valiant I, a Valiant II with my Valiant III... and a lone Vanguard. First turn, Vanguard spawn cap the wrong place and we ended up getting flanked in the Array Control. <_<

Vanguard learnt the lesson and the other waves got pretty decent. Think I killed every Atlas -- I had Disruptor loaded and AP, so it just cut through the Atlas. When the Phantoms showed up, I killed one with an aimed deliberate head shot, another with a snapped head shot, just as she headed down the ramp and out of sight. Quite happy with the aimed, and lucky with the snapped. :)

The third Phantom kill was as I was delivering a Package; climbed up to head for the West Approach zone, when a Phantom showed up too close. Panicked shooting but I realised she never noted me -- was engrossed by my teammate. Managed to hurt her, push her back, then finished her off with a headshot, all while having that big bag on me. Teammate nailed Phantom #4, I was quite happy with the three I bagged. :wizard:

Extraction Wave, hunted the Atlas and cut it down quickly. Pulled back, and generally things were ok. Full Extraction -- I almost missed the boat.

Was #2 on the board; Male Quarian was using his arc grenade very aggressively. Damage do seem a bit overpowering, so I think may be a tweak coming. Still, good show on his part -- I often forget my grenades on my classes.

Promoted the Infiltrator off, and then rolled up a Batarian Soldier to work with the Harrier properly. Main thing is the extra ammo that he is running with -- wanted that to offset Harrier's main problem. Didn't game with him tonight.. will use him tomorrow.

Well Thursday was sick. Friday was busy doing some data mining, so no game.

So we get an early start to Sat... but ISP trolling. So far, only 2 games (thankfully no dropped, ISP didn't even let me get that far in). I did get thrown into a Gold game, which I left quickly.

First, Condor/ Geth. I just got my Crusader and decided to carry it in on my Batarian Soldier in addition to my Harrier II. Intention was to test it out, to see how it is. As it turns out, I forgot how fast Harrier chew through ammo and it was useful to have the Crusader as a spare.

First few round I went around with the Crusader to get a feel of the gun. Teammates must be wondering who the nutcase is, running around with 2 heavy guns. Crusader was ok... it's nice and accurate, but the range of it is just a bit nowhere, and the options it limits make it a odd piece. More a backup piece than a first-use piece. It's a solution looking for a problem right now.

Anyway, stayed with the Crusader until around Wave 6, when I swapped back to the Harrier and took things more seriously. Forgot how fast the ammo goes into the Harrier, and had to take out the Crusader again for a few times. Getting used to the Harrier took a bit of time and without Incendiary ammo it feels a bit weaker. Still good.

Snuck up on a Geth Prime by accident -- was following a Geth into the Transport Lot, finishing the spawn there off, then realise a Geth Prime was standing off to my left pointed at the teammates. Shot its broad back up, easy kill there.

Wave 10, IIRC was a Cap wave. Was running around, somehow got near the center building. Waves of Pryo/ Hunters were about, so out came the Inferno Grenades and tossed. Good radius kills, nice to have those handy. Extraction Wave was largely uninteresting, Full Extraction.

Crusader, like I said, is a nice enough gun but not really necessary.. it's one of those nice-to-have things but just not great enough.

Went off as the ISP wasn't cooperating, but came back later for Game 2. Conder/ Reaper. Conder again? <_< Anyhow, has ditched the Crusader but didn't put Incendiary because I wasn't sure of my connection. Turns out it was a bit wonky but good enough for a game.

Started off a bit tentative, but by Wave 3 or so I've warmed up. There was a Cerberus Adept who's fairly aggressive, thought he'll top the table. Made it a point to use the Inferno grenades and they turned out very useful, because the raidus was just enough to catch a pair of Ravagers.. had many waves where I'll toss it out and catch a Brute. Harrier's good against Brutes once they expose their backsides and I got multiple kills.

One Wave, the trio started out at the landing zone. I happened to be in the L-pipes and got to the junction in time to see the spawn. The Brute charged, and I got out of the way and shot him up with the Harrier -- clean solo kill. Turned around and saw the Ravagers get into position, so Inferno out immediately; caught both, followed up and killed with the Harrier. Clean kills on all, then went back upstairs and caught the companion Brute at mid-long; Quarian Male finally got the Tactscan running properly, so we easily shot it up.

Another wave/ Spawn, I was running down the center trench towards the L-pipes, when two Ravagers showed up at the end. Reflex threw a Inferno grenade out, and storming in (with teammates supporting) meant the Ravagers couldn't get a shot off. Clean kills with no rockets out.

Extraction Wave was uneventful, except the Phoenix Adept got floored. I was running to revive when I realised the whole team tagged a long.. that was nice. Retreated back to the EZ, but turns out the Reapers were a bit half-hearted. No real attacks, and Full Extraction.

Turned out I topped the table, above the Phoenix Adept by about 4k and about 9k from #3. I was rather surprised; I wasn't working too hard and I didn't really get any Banshees but did get Brutes and Ravagers. Probably a lot of poor Cannibals caught in grenade blasts and assists -- Inferno's DoT is rather fierce.

Taking a break for now, will be back for more games later.

Continuing....

The Batarian Soldier went on to Goddess/ Geth. There was a Quarian Male Engineer somewhere. I know that for sure. Why?

Because by the start of Wave 4 we already have our 3 Killstreak Gold Medal.  :o Quarian Arc Grenade. Batarian Inferno Grenade. I even saw a Tech Explosion kill somewhere in the kill feed from me.

... I normally don't even see a Killstreak medal, and this match I had it before even the first Objective Wave was properly over...

Some of Goddess' ammo boxes were quite deep as grenades go, so I didn't have much trouble staying stocked. One Hack objective had us on the overlook; the Quarian was expending his arc grenades very generously, so I kept mine for the inevitable counterattack.. which predictably, came from the Ladder side. Toss a couple of Infernoes down that ladder and things quieten down.

Since we were so grenade happy even Geth Prime weren't much of an issue. Couple of grenades into each Pyro/ Hunter pack and usually it's not a problem any more. Extraction wave had me out of position but I ran along with it, managing to ambush the Prime in the Elevator room and taking it out with generous donations of Incendiary. Ended up Full Extraction; no problems.

Hydra/ Geth next. Nothing particularly exciting here, just that we had a Kroguard who kept getting into my face early on. We sorted the differences and went on to stomp Geth. Geth has this unfortunate habit of clustering together, which just meant my Inferno Grenades had a workout -- many, MANY groups met hot Infernos on the way in. No spectacular event, and generally a quiet Full Extraction out.

Got a bit tired of the BattySol, so when with my intended Engineer build. Enters Kiera, Human Engineer. Dropped into Jade/ Reaper on Wave 6 IIRC, trying to figure out the class while dodging Reapers wasn't too fun. Thankfully I've started with a simple build, Overload spam and Drone support. After a frantic first turn, got the class bedded in. Phaeston turned out to be a good choice, a bit lacking in punch but makes up for with ammo load and stability.

Having Overload was very useful against Banshees, stripping off their shields quickly. More problematic with the Brutes, and Ravagers of course -- got to review to see whether I have anything else suitable. Partial Extraction -- a Vanguard was missing at the end of it. Not sure if he was playing, or he hit the Jade extraction bug.

Next to Ghost/ Reapers. This wasn't a fun game. I've swapped out to a Revenant and it wasn't quite right; I could use it, and thankfully I figured out the way I want to fight the class, so it wasn't too bad.

Team had 2 inexperienced and one vet (non-infiltrator) with a Krysae. Honestly? The Krysae was an annoyance, but thankfully I just stayed away from the user. I think the toning down made it less of an issue, but still.. it's very distracting when you are setting up a crowd control and the Krysae come along and break it up.

The two inexperienced were quite.. spectacular though. Couldn't handle a Banshee. The first one wiped the two of them and was chasing down the Krysae towards the Main Street -- at that time I was busying cleaning off the Back Street spawn. Hurried over and nailed the Banshee off her last armour bar from distance.

Started to learn how to use the Drone effectively. There was one wave, Banshee and Brute in the Back Street. Dropped a drone when the Banshee jumped, and we retreated through the Back Alley to draw the Banshee out. Killed her, and when we went back to the Back Street, we found the Brute mesmerized by the Drone in one corner.

Wave 10. At this point I was leading the table, with Krysae coming in 2nd. Objective Retrieval. Got #1 into the bucket, but the Banshee showed up again.. Again, the inexperienced weren't able to deal with her and the Vet had been brought down. I got floored too. Didn't get revived but the Krysae was, and was treated to seeing the Krysae user move into 1st place.. sigh. <_< -_-

Extraction was confused because... you know what? I have no idea why. Eventually we sorted ourselves out and I just happily chain overload things coming in from the buildings. Once the crowd is suppressed, the Full Extraction was quiet.

I think the main problem with the Krysae is not its power, but it's ability to quickly mess up a situation; players size up a mob and attack accordingly, but the Krysae quickly mushes a lot of things, with lots of distracting graphics. It changes the situation dynamics quickly and a player often cannot compensate well for it, leading to assumptions that an enemy had died when it hadn't. This leds to tactical holes forming up, and frankly the typical Krysae shooter aren't very good at plugging these holes.

I suppose if the Krysae had been utilized in the opening engagement to prep the enemy, it would work out well, but in most scenarioes we work under, there's a support element and an assault element. Once the assault element is close to the enemy, it's not good for the support to shoot into it with a Krysae, as it can rapidly screw with the assault element's situation awareness.

Anyway.. Kiera came back, tossed the Revenant and took up the Phaeston again. Glacier/ Cerberus. An interesting run.. Kiera the Engineer was a bit too aggressive here, nothing that got too difficult but was very confused at some point, close quarters and a lousy aim meant she's not as effective as she could have been.

Starting to get more mileage out of the Drone. Not too bad. Assaulting in with Overload spam is quite viable, lots of Cerbie Troopies doing the Jerk dance. Oddly, even Guardians are affected -- I knew some biotics won't affect them.

Didn't get Phantoms -- my teammates are more efficient -- but did pull off a number of Retrievals and Caps. Atlas are a fun target because I can use Overload on it fully, with the chain usually sparking off to some poor dweeb surrounding the mech. Between Overload and AP Phaeston, most Atlas weren't a problem. Relatively quiet, Full Extraction.

Final game, I pulled the Human Female Infiltrator out again -- sniping is kind of relaxing for me. Reactor/ Cerberus, DIG on Wave 4. Group turned out later to be all Level 20s, one Turian and 2 Vorchas IIRC. Reactor is usually an ok map for me, as a Infiltrator it feels to be a "correct" map. Didn't put Disruptors on the Valiant this time -- want to conserve a bit of stock.

As things went, it's actually a fun game. Saw only one Phantom, but my teammate got the kill, Inferno Grenade I think, or Flamer. Mostly I was on Guardian cleanup duties, plus I ate Atlases. Unfortunately, on two occassion my teammates rather use a Cobra then to wait a bit more for the can-opener to finish the job.

Extraction, set up in the EZ to snipe down the Overlook corridor. Rewarded with lots of mooks, enough to be fun. Aside from that the Full Extraction was quiet. Turns out, I was dead last -- but 3K short of #3, and DIG on Wave 4, and was Level 8 compared to all Level 20s... which meant I did decently well for the game. :D

The couple of matches I just played with some randoms. They were really friendly, we all worked together and helped each other out of bad situations and we had classes that worked well together. And the mics actually got used! It's unbelievable how much smoother things go when you've got someone to just say "dude, Phantom is running across the map toward you" or something, rather than finding out when the ****er stabs you. I've never really experienced that with a random game before, everyone just kinda does their own thing. At least in Bronze and Silver anyway. I don't know how random Gold matches go. But yeah, it was fun, and they were really cool peoples.

Wowky: Yeah, it's great when a good group get together by random. Even without mics, when you get a good group the vibe is just good.

================================

3 games tonight -- short night. Kiera the Engineer came out first, since I wanted to leave the sniping for relaxation later. Good call, DIG into Hydra/ Geth, I think end Wave 6. Was rather funny. Two Human Engineers, 2 Quarians. Ouch -- for the Geth.

Drones floating all over the place and the later waves, were just thick with Pyros and Hunters -- excellent grounds for my Chain Overload. Gleefully used it too! :o A number of Geth Primes were confused by not one but two Drones floating near it, and they generally weren't a problem. Full Extraction, loads of fun, and I got my Overload Specialist achievement from this match. Also learnt to split second stop Overloading Orange-tinted Primes and Pyros. They be useful!

Out came the Infiltrator. DIG into Dagger/ Cerberus, Wave 3. Not very nice match. Asari Vanguard Stasis Sniper... with a Raptor. <_< Sigh. Not great, but behaviour is worse -- fixated on killing enemies, to the point where she got into my way too, and didn't go for objectives, and I shoulder-surf her a bit when I got floored and not revived, she went melee with some Troopers. Not Biotic Charge, melee. Overall, don't feel like a goofing off Gold (with a Raptor? C'mon...), more like a Silver.

Ended up, couple of objective waves I was floored but not revived. Usually because I was rushing for the objective the rest was ignoring. Sigh.

Got a clean kill on a Phantom, and a rushed job on another. Still gratifying to see a headshot on a Phantom. Atlases weren't an issue but without disruptor ammo takes a bit longer.. one teammate wasn't willing to wait and Cobra'ed the Extraction Atlas. Extraction, got grenaded at ten seconds but was not revived. Partial -- the Vanguard also didn't make it out, not sure if playing or got taken out by the same grenade.

Wasn't too happy with the game. Team wasn't cohesive and generally left the objective to someone else until almost too late. It is one of those "Finished the mission but damn, I don't want to be on this team any more" kind of feeling.

Suited up, went back out -- DIG into White/ Reaper, I think Wave 1 or 2. Vanguard, Quarian Engineer, one other. Been some time since I last saw a Human Vanguard at work. This guy not helping. Wasn't terrible, just.. didn't want to share. Kept to himself inside the building, did the job even when it made more sense to wait for backup. Like against Brutes, Ravagers, and Banshee. Kept bottling them up where ranged firepower can't reach them, but end up almost every one of them had to be killed by firepower.

Wave 10 hack, lower corner room. Rushed there but of course the Banshee and Brute beat us there. Killed the Brute as it was befuddled wondering who to chomp, then danced around the consoles shooting the Banshee -- kill. Ravagers took this opportunity to show up, hurried kills but both dead before they could shoot too many rounds. Then the Brute coming down the corridor, Vanguard charged but killed. Vanguard then proceed upstairs, waaaay out of hack zone... <_< <_< shrug. Vanguards.

Had a more pleasant time dealing with another 2 Ravagers (IIRC) which tried to come in from the lower deck door, plus a gaggle of Cannibals trying to come in.. sitting ducks.

Extraction wave. Improper spawn capping by the Vanguard meant a pair of Cannibals came at me on the snipe nest from the start. Annoyance, but...  <_< Took care of the Brute, then helped with the Banshee -- someone else got the last hit. 20 seconds, sprinted for the EZ, to find that I have exactly one round left in the magazine. So used it carefully to drop a Cannibal, and at 10 seconds Cloaked and kept things quiet. Full Extraction.

Y'know, I really don't mind Vanguards charging things. It can be fun with a storm/ assault-oriented team, which goes in together -- utter havoc. But when the Vanguard is in a team with mostly support classes, which are better at creating a kill box.. it might be better for the Vanguard to rein things in a bit so that enemies actually can be in the kill box. Unfortunately, most Vanguards I see tend to not think beyond their personal needs (recharging of shields), and don't cooperate that well. Shrug.

So...

Kiera the Engineer came out first, Dagger/ Geth. Hadn't worked out what an Engineer was supposed to be on Dagger so the first few Waves were a bit awkward. Eventually stablized to the same place that my Kroguard sits -- Darkside, ramp, spawn cap.

Not too bad. that place gave me a good LOS to the West Approach spawn point and a couple of Geth Prime spawned there. So I had the opportunity to Chain Overload there, quite supportive. And figured the Drone is a good early warning system, so left it on the entrance to the Array Control, quite useful there.

Extraction Wave, I was at the East Approach entrance to the Array Control, just down the ramp. Geth was piling up through the walkway and ladder so fast I was just chaining Overload -- got quite a number there, stun-locking them. Retreating by pure dumb luck in time not to get outflanked by Pyros coming down through the Array Control. Can't remember the exact results, but I think it was a Full Extraction.

Human Infiltrator came out. DIG into Hydra/ Geth... Silver.  Am definitely not prepared and it's a good reality check. First couple of rounds, kept dying, until I got my rhythm. Then we started killing quickly. We wiped on Wave 7 -- team got split and the Geth got between us. I was quite surprised to find myself 2nd on the table, just past the Human Vanguard (who was doing a good job) and below the Vorcha, who was stomping Geth.

I think with the right setup, and right equipment, I should be able to tackle Silver. It was humbling to get my ass royally kicked, but potential is there I feel.

Anyway, to make up for it, Giant/ Cerberus. Was very busy, but good clean fun. A bit desync from the team, they prefer courtyard defense, I prefer sniper post. Team wins and I run and gun. Good kill on a Phantom -- she got thrown up on a slope, was cloaked and sliding down when I nailed her cleanly. Other Phantom on that Wave got Biotic charged by the Kroguard. Valiant III is still a good workhorse against Atlases, and I claim at least 2, maybe 3 kills. Had a very nice moving headshot against a Centurion IIRC, one of those little touches.

Wave 10 Hack, in the Courtyard. Atlas and Phantom came from the Landing Zone, I didn't get this one, someone else nailed it -- I was trying to get that stupid Phantom running around the legs. Also didn't get her, did hit her but someone else got the kill.

Extraction wave, wanted to play the flanking game but team nor AI obligned. Turned out more of a Guardian hunt -- team wasn't well equipped for it and I had a few double-tap, double-kills, just traversing laterally on two shots to kill two Guardians. One teammate downed by a Guardian just under 20s, dashed out to revived (and gratifying to see another teammate come out too), retreated back in just in time for a Full Extraction. Surprised to be #1, but definitely feel a bit ragged by the end of it.

Stayed with the team, went into Ghost/ Reaper. Definitely too tired, totally off rhythm -- and Ghost is a favourite for me. Couldn't catch the enemy's spawn rhythm, but had a beautiful, cloaked 3 lateral shots all dropping Cannibals in a row -- was just in the zone.

Specialized in killing Brutes -- saw only a handful of Ravagers -- and I didn't bothered to keep track of the Brutes I killed. Got 2 Banshees at least, maybe a third, and definitely saw a Level 5 Kroguard Biotic Charge one to death. Human Engineer with a Phaeston was definitely more in sync, camping in the central pod and racking up a good tally.

Wave 10, Assassination. Was in the right place and saw Banshee/ Brute/ Ravager/ Ravager spawn opposite the Landing Pad. Looked to be a traffic jam there.  Was so happy to see Ravagers that I managed to dropped both of them before the Banshee crossed the Main Street -- following some dancing around the cover, managed to kill her, just as the Brute came over, and we killed THAT too. "Target" Cannibals next and we quickly wrapped out.

Extraction wasn't too bad. Banshee was dealt with quickly, and Brute too -- this one I didn't bag. Found a good spot and started killing feeding Cannibals; eventually ran out of ammo at about 10s, and just cloaked -- too tired to bother. Timer ran out, was still cloaked, but somehow the Human Engineer was out of the zone. Partial Extraction.

Think I was #2, maybe #3; Human Engineer topped the table. Was really out of rhythm, and decided to break for sleep.

I guess I can post a nice mini story too? O_o Lol. Well it's kind of one.

Join up in a gold lobby setup for Glacier/Cerberus. I didn't notice until the game started the other 3 guys were Batarian Soldiers. I played Human Soldier with dat Claymore. <3. Anyway needless to say these guys were solid players. Two of them had N7 1500+ which I hardly ever play with. During the match there was sooo much Ballistic Blade explosions it was ridiculous. It was a lot of fun as well. xD

After the match I thought to myself, "I should've switched to Batarian Soldier, oh well."

Sure, share the stories. :wizard: It's great that you guys can find each other after a match -- normally I PUG and can't recognize anyone.

Speaking of Batarians...

I actually forgot I had a Batarian. Batarian Soldier Rahsak, comfortable with his Explosive Blades, Harrier II and Inferno grenade. Remembered him and decided to bring him out for a tour.

Ghost/ Reaper. Had a very experienced players -- jedihabringer? -- who was very good in the Central Pod. I happened to bring back 3 of 4 packages, 2 of which I managed to pick up before Control even had time to finish his speech.

Was very generous with the Inferno Grenades, as a result many Ravagers and Brutes didn't last very long -- I'll lob one or two in, and then polish off the remains with the Harrier. Works well. Once stripped of her Brute and Ravager consorts, the Banshee's pretty much dead meat on her own. We had one wave where they appeared across the Main Street, and all four of us started lobbing/ powers/ shooting. Brute and Ravagers never got out of the building, IIRC -- slaughtered there. Banshee 'ported out and we let her close while prioritizing on the Ravagers, then sorted her out.

Extraction Wave -- hectic. A Brute popped at the Back Street and out went the Infernos; managed to kill it at the L-corner with sustained Harrier fire. Banshee shrieked after me, and I was fortunate to have Blade Armour on, as I kept backing away while tossing Infernos and hosing her with the Harrier. Managed to back into an ammo crate, probably why I still had ammo. :D Killed the Banshee (pretty much alone, like the Brute), then another Brute came down the Central Pod ramp. Another Inferno tossing, and hosing the Brute down, clean kills on all three -- so Brute, Banshee, Brute, plus assorted, and for a fairly quiet Full Extraction.

#2 on the board, lots of Biotics Explosions -- guy was having fun and scored higher. Stayed with the group, went out again; Reactor/ Geth.

Wasn't quite as hot, but adequate. Was killing decently fast. Thought it was Extraction Wave, so went the Prime came out from the Overlook I showered the entire area with Infernos, a very fast takedown of the Prime and his group. I was wondering why the EZ was not lit, when Wave 9 ended.  <_<

Note to self -- the Overlook is a darn small room. An Inferno grenade in there is a mess... for the occupants.

Wave 10 passed, Extraction Wave had me doing long range support against the Geth Prime. Caught in in the Reactor from the side entrance and gave it a few Harrier rounds. Once it was downed, I took up the conventional "Corridor outside Overlook" and continued to pick off Pyros and Hunters. Quiet Full Extraction, and still took #2 spot, behind the adept.

Changed over to the Human Infiltrator for a bit of relaxing sniping. Got Jade/ Cerberus; a hard time, since I'm a bit desync'ed from the team. Couldn't get a rhythm going fast enough. Had a couple of unclean kills on Phantoms -- was splattering rounds out but no confidence of the hit zone. Managed to get a clean headshot on one when I forced her to take cover and got around the cover, but aside from that, not great.

Wave 10, cap mission. Somehow, the team decided to leave it to the Infiltrator... huh. Control trolled me. #1 was on the Lower Balcony. #2 was on the Upper Balcony. #3 was on the Lower Balcony. <_< #4 was on the Upper Balcony. <_< <_<. Ended up, I was just running straight through whole Cerbie Troopie squads, no time to shoot, just hauling ass towards the objective. I effectively ran laps around Jade. <_< <_< <_<... but got the job done.

Extraction was a bit muffled, not that bad but EZ was constantly under fire. Nothing terrible, and we sorted the Cerbies out. Full Extraction, still #2 IIRC.

Group disbanded, so I went looking for another game. It was terrible. I think Diablo 3 released a patch today? Ended up the network was very unstable. Many games lost because of connectivity loss.

Finally, I got into Glacier/ Geth, DIG into Wave 4 IIRC. Was tired and didn't really want to work too hard, so started by camping. Not decent work but did provide some cover for the team. Wave 6 I recall it was a Cap Wave, and again the team seems to think only the Infiltrator could do the job.. ended up doing laps in Glacier to cap all but 1 of them.

Another late wave, caught a Prime from the rear as it snuck up on a teammate, and quickly cut it down. Another Wave, another Prime came into the Landing Pad from the Lower Basement door, and I was able to tear it apart by judiciously rolling into and out of cover. B)

Extraction Wave; fairly quiet. I stuck by the doorway into the Sci Lab, an old, early camping spot. Had a good crop of Pyros and Hunters coming from the Hub room, so was able to maximize. Think we got Full Extraction, though I didn't know how that Geth managed to get so fast from the Sci Lab into the Landing Pad.

Budgeting trolled me by giving me 150 credits short of a PSP... <_< So we endured a few more broken matches, before DIG into Hydra/ Cerberus on Wave 6 (IIRC).

Hydra is a map I'm comfortable as a sniper on. The LZ zone had a few good spots for snipers to work from. So I got to work -- very busy, actually. Mostly hunting Guardians as I got the AP to quickly kill it. Got some Engineers too -- prioritized when I see them. Unclean kill on a Phantom and another strong assist -- Phantom was going for sync kill on a teammate I believe, and I staggered her out with a close-mid range shot, then the teammate punched her into the ground. I was robbed, but it was a good rob. :D

Atlas, got myself good assists and finally on the Extraction Wave, got a kill by shooting through its own smoke cloud. After that, it was mostly just picking off Guardians and Centurions, then we got away with a Full Extraction.

I was very surprised to see myself #1, considering I played 4, at most 5 Waves. Granted, I was less than 1K above #2, but good grief what kind of game was that before I DIG in?

Anyhow, got the credits for the PSP. Krysae X -- that took that out of circulation! -- and a Adept class XP card. Not great, but fair enough given the BW III and Paladin I got from the last PSP.
