Had a pet theory last night. My performance as an Infiltrator was noticably lagging for a few nights, and I was wondering if fatigue was a cause. Turns out there is at least some truth -- by the 3rd or 4th game I'll be noticably performing subpar.

At any rate, I went out with my Human Infiltrator first, and there is a noticable performance increase. Hydra/ Geth. Fairly straightforward game, set up in the proper spot and started sniping. One objective wave, saw that my teammates were moving to cap, so stayed just where I was and cut down a mass of Pyros and Hunters. However, noted by #3 that my teammates were too far, and ran to cap. It pays to keep situational awareness up even as you are killing stuff. Getting the mission capped is more important.

Geth Primes weren't a major problem, they show up, so long I take care not to take their aggro (or at least have something solid to hide behind) I could dish out the damage.

Extraction Wave, all 4 teammates ended up somehow along the same railing, and I've never seen the volume of fire showering down on the Geth. Couldn't even have time to snipe in peace, since the targets just kept dropping.  Full Extraction, #2 behind a Salarian Engineer who was very aggressive. Also, happily quite far above a Krysae using Krogan.

Game 2 is again on Hydra, but against Cerberus and dropped in on Wave 2. Fight was fun, Krogan, MQE, one other. Krogan and me got there first so Wave 2 was mostly done by us. Wave 8 I think, Phantom advanced. Hit her but not critical, then the Krogan Incinerated her, and I polished her off with a shot.

Wave 10, got brought down by a Phantom and was treated to the sight of her getting blasted apart by a GPS on the Krogan. Got picked up, and seeing the team was busy, ran for the Package. Picked it up only to realise that some idiot Cerbie Engineer had placed a turret exactly right to take me out as I crawled up the Traffic Control ramp.

Instinct took over; Reflexively hit Cloak, hence dumping the Package, shot up the Turret quickly (which had its business end pointed directly at my scope.... sheesh), then picked up the Package and crawled up the ramp... just in time to see the Krogan running over in a panic to pick up the Package.  Extraction was non-descript, Full Extraction. Was quite surprised to see myself on #3, but it was below #2 by 1k or so, so it wasn't too bad. Was surprised at #4, who was in the 10K region.. not quite sure what was going on there.

Decided to swap out the Infiltrator for something else. Was thinking to level the Batarian Soldier for this Weekend's op, but to be honest he didn't really need it... so decided to pull Kiera the Human Engineer out. I also recently got a Paladin and wanted to try it out.

Got sent into Hydra/ Cerberus.. <_< Actually it's not too bad because I like the map. What I didn't like is dropping into a Hot LZ on Wave 3, Hacking. Cerbies were already overrruning the place held by a Asari and 2 Geths.Ended up floored 3 times in one hack due to the confused grenade spam.. sheesh. Once we got out of that though, much better -- I spec'ed Kiera to be Overload area denial and it worked out well. Drone is also spec'ed to be Chain, so a LOT of Cerbies spent their time twitching.

Paladin's a sweet gun. 3 round clip isn't a big deal on Kiera since she uses it to execute, not sandpaper. Good smooth sightlines and reload cycle, so it's a natural, even at level 1. A bit heavy is all.

Wave 6, Hacking in the Ball room. Had a fun time towards the front of the room -- Cerbie Troopies would jump up from below, and it just so happen they are in auto-target range. So they leap up, auto-target engages, I Overload (and sometimes chain below), and then they fall back off the ledge.   Rinse and repeat, quite entertaining actually.

Back way also had its share of fun. Lots of Engineers trying to set up turrets, also just so happen that the space there is tight and Chain Overload is nasty.. for them. They didn't get to set up very well. :D

Didn't get any Phantom kills IIRC. Kiera's not set up for Phantom killing, more of shield stripping, so usually she's not there for the finishing blow. She did get a number of Atlases, because Overload quickly blows the shields off, while the Incinerate and Paladin quickly cuts away the armour. Quite efficient.

Extraction Wave, Not much excitement. Full Extraction, but the tally glitched and showed me an earlier game. Too bad, would have liked to know how I contributed.

The Infiltrator's pretty much a monobuild, so not much to improve on -- she's only got cloak and no distraction like Cryo or Sticky. Just straight out sniping.

Kiera though, has got to get her reflex finger off that Overload and use the Drone more often. Drone's very useful to de-aggro so she should use it more often. The pairing of Engineer power with Paladin is a good one, it seems -- a good match, hope I can level the gun quickly.

Hmm. 3 and a tenth game tonight.

Broke out the Infiltrator first. DIG into Ghost/ Geth.. Wave 10.

*Looks at Matchmaker* WTF, Matchmaker?

One Wave. On Bronze. Not much to write home about. Full Extraction.

Dagger/ Cerberus next. Normally, as an Infiltrator, I am quite happy to get Dagger. There's two Vanguards (Human and Asari), and a BF3 Soldier IIRC. I recall two were fairly low N7 (sub 100), so not so experienced. I wasn't too happy on this map.. Wave 1, some idiot crossed the platform, capping it. <_< Yup. Flanked.

Wave 2, some idiot crossed the platform again. <_< <_< Yup. Flanked.

I think it was Wave 3 that I was able to demonstrate why they shouldn't cap the platform spawns. Assassination Wave, Nemesis as targets. Front 3 spawned to the front, and were dead within 90 seconds. #4 was on the East Approach and I couldn't get a decent shot because all three of the teammates was bouncing her around... and still took time to kill.

Wave 4 I just murderized the spawn there. (Mind you. As the solo Infiltrator on the team. With a Valiant III... not exactly the most burst damage SR, just a good one.)

By about Wave 6 or 7, the team finally settled down into killing the enemy instead of screwing itself. However, you know that feeling when the team's not realy together and is just waiting to fall apart? Yeah that feeling.

Wave 10, Retrieval. Saw my teammates were out of position to recover #1, so I went and picked it up. Quiet... too quiet. Delivered, #2 was in the pipeworks but looks clear, so I made a run -- think one teammate was down by this time. On the way back saw a Phantom, took a pot (and accidentally dropped the Package) but don't think I killed her.

So both Package delivered, and I saw one teammate go down. I muttered under my breath and sprinted over to the West Approach, only to quick cloak as a Turret was sitting there. Took out the Turret, run down, Trooper was about to stomp on the teammate; took a chance, killed off the Trooper with a heavy melee, then revived the teammate.... only to see an Atlas round the corner.

Wait. 3 teammates, and they still couldn't kill one Atlas? On Bronze?  :pinched:

Quickly took out the Atlas -- AP on Valiant, so it wasn't too bad. Then rounded that corner to find... a Turret. Actually. Two turrets.

WTF, players? :pinched: Sigh.

Extraction wave was non-descript. I think I potted the Atlas away but there might have been a Cobra.. didn't care. Troopers tried to overrun the Array Control but I was able to clear them -- only to have a bunch of Guardians sneak by me to go down the West Approach.. just made my life easier by not making me go through their shields. Got rid of them, met up at the EZ on West Approach, pot some more Guardians at the East Approach away.. Full Extraction. #1 on the board, no surprise, but 13K from #2... on Bronze. Urgh. Sigh.

Decided to play Kiera the Engineer next. Human Engineer is so fun, Overload Chain is a nice thing to see. Giant/ Cerberus, fun game. Team knew the job and got it done well, and I remembered to let the Drone play. Paladin works great as an execution tool, and I got clean kills on at least 3 Phantoms, possibly the 4th, between Overload and the Paladin. :o

Extraction Wave, was just bumming around but somehow managed to sneak up on a very badly damaged Atlas and polished it off. Then spent the rest of Extraction using Overload to buy time, was very anti-climatic. Full Extraction, #1 on the table thanks to the AOE spam, but only by 9k.. more reasonable.

Wanted to get a PSP so went out one last time, Team was Geth Infiltrator (from the last game), Human Engineer (me), and a SI and SE. And I got Jade/ Geth. I was laughing by the time Wave 1 started -- this is not going to be an issue.

Was already obviously de-sync'ing from the game, just couldn't find the spawn.properly. The Sallys are very good, knew how to maximize, and quick. I got my share of twitchy Geths, but couldn't keep up. Geth's like that; if you aren't prepped to meet them, they are tough. If you got the tools or team, they drop like flies.

Not to say I didn't get floored; Kiera's not a fitness expert. Still had a blast. Full Extraction, #3 on the board -- just didn't quite get up the spin.

So, got the credit, went to get the PSP.. wasn't quite expecting this:

Image IPB

Not saying the store was trolling me (because I did want the GP(S)MG), but.. a bit odd to see two tumbling out of the same box...

Very confused night. But lots of gaming. :P

Took out the Human Infiltrator first. Wanted to try out the buffed Viper X. DIG into Goddess/ Reaper on Wave 2.

Basically, I'll be replacing my Valiant III with a Viper X until I get better Valiants. Like at least a VI, I think. Yes, the new Viper is that good. Less damage per round, but more rounds, so taking down a Ravager is a lot faster now -- 6 rounds express. And ammo load is bigger by about 30%, makes a big difference during objective rounds.

Not much to remember about this game but should be Full Extraction.

Next is White/ Cerberus. Group's a bit off, one guy kept trying to camp the back spawn, on Bronze.. anyhow, the Viper's multishot came in very useful to clean out mooks. Don't recall killing any Phantoms, not in this game, but did take my share of Atlases.

Extraction Wave, usual business. Halfway through, the SpawnMaker forced a spawn above my sniper perch.. well, if the SpawnMaker wants to drop Cerberus Troopers in one nice line in front of a sniper with an AP mod, by all means I'm going to take advantage of it. Eventually the pressure grew and I was forced to back off into the EZ, but it was a easy run and we got away with Full Extraction. I was #2, behind #1 by 3K, so wasn't too bad a result.

Stayed with the Group, one guy swap to a Drell Vanguard, and we went into Ghost/ Reapers. Straight away the Drell ran for the opposite spawn... myself and the #1 from the previous game saw that he was camping that, and broke for the Back Street. IMO a poor spawn cap, ended up Wave 1 was messier than it needs to be.

Despite that, the Drell was very good at doing Biotic Explosion, so I wasn't exactly having a lot of things to do. When the Bosses showed up, the new rifle made it easier, so eventually we got the Extraction, which after we fought off the Banshee coming down the Back Alley, and her two Consort Brutes, was a quiet affair. Ended up as #4, just couldn't get the kills going.

Switched to Kiera the Engineer to get some XP in. First game I got into was a Silver, which I didn't want to, so searched again.. was wondering whether I should have tried, when Matchmaker dropped me into Giant/ Cerberus/... Silver. <_< Was wondering why Wave 2 was taking so long to finish, when I checked and found it was Silver. Ah well, stay and give it a shot.

Long and short of it was that Kiera didn't exactly take Fitness, so she got floored many times.. the Quarian Sisters must have been pretty annoyed at picking me up. We were pretty beaten up by a Wave 3 Hack, and we slowly sorted ourselves such that by Wave 8 we were comfortably defending the sniper perch from the Cerberus assault.

So. Many. Phantoms. For some reason, instead of sending Atlases, the SpawnMaker decided to max out on Phantoms. I would prioritize killing one, somehow managing to do that -- the Paladin is nice with a scope for headshotting Phantoms -- then another one would spawn and I had to keep going after her. Overload took care of her barrier and often stun/ stagger her, making it possible for me to headshot her. I probably killed 4 to 6 Phantoms that way over the course of the game.

Not to say the SpawnMaker didn't throw Atlases at us, but with one or two, it was easy to pick them off.

Wave 10: Hack at the Terminal. Ow that was painful. Atlas spawns by pairs, and Phantoms galore. We kept getting floored and picked and floored, until I got fed up and Cobra'ed the majority away -- still a good number of Turrets and Nemesis after that, but we got a decent, quiet go.

Extraction Wave, managed to flank the Atlas, and killed it. Caught a Phantom, kill, the second Phantom (IIRC) I hurt but she ducked out of line of sight... and then later, popped in at extreme close range and stabbed me. Sync kill, Partial Extraction... too bad.

I was shocked, really, to see myself #1 on the table, above by 3K. To be very honest, I have zero idea how I got there. Prioritizing Phantoms and helping out with bosses may have helped but I wasn't really doing that much of that.. Only other explanation was all the Chain Overload spamming that I did.

It's a good feeling. The team was decent -- the Quarian Sisters (pair of QI And QE I think, in matching outfits) was a bit not that great at objectives, but good enough. Given that, being able to get to the top of the table despite getting floored repeatedly means to me that I can handle Silver. That's a boost to the confidence.

Went on to a Goddess/ Cerberus game. This was a fun one because the team was talking, and in a language I could understand, and not cussing overly too. The main talker was entertaining, giving a running commentary, though the team didn't seem too veteran at the game. A pair of Batarians, relying heavily on Shockwaves, and a Geth, plus myself. Game was fairly smooth.

We hit a ragged spot when Wave 6 was a hack in the middle of the room, but was entertained by all the vocal commentary about grenade spam. Managed to survive it, and we pushed on.

Wave 10, Objective Cap. #1 was ok, but I was forced to go for #2, and I made the mistake of running into the Elevator room... only to find that the Engineers have already set up not one but TWO turrets in there. Floored, figured the team will come by for #2 soon, but they didn't.. think they forgot it was an Objective Wave. Bled out, in time to shoulder surf the Geth who passed by #2 without trying to cap..

Eventually the group realised that it was an Objective Wave, and started going for the caps. But by then a lot of Engineers had spawned and a lot of swearing at Turrets ensured. Eventually, they managed to cap everything, and cleaned up.

Extraction Wave, since I've already used a Cobra earlier, I thought I might as well use one on the Atlas.. and so I did, catching it with a wallburst. It was a quiet Full Extraction after that.

Decided to stay with the group because it's entertaining to listen to them, but swapped back to the Human Infiltrator. Jade/ Reapers. Still yet to figure out the good sniper spots, and the Geth insist on capping the bunker spawn for some reason.. I prefer to let them set up there so that I can snipe them away, to be honest. The team didn't feel that great against Reapers, I think inexperience even though the N7 levels were decent. A lot of chatter about Brutes and Ravagers, and they lose track of the Banshees easily.

Think it was Wave 6, Hack. Was running back and forth killing things, and went to pick up the Geth who got floored at the LZ -- things were coming up from the stairs area. #2 or #3 was unfortunately below them in the courtyard, and the shortest way was through them... so cloaked, ran yet through another field of enemies (the last time was Geth), and only got clipped by a melee from a Cannibal. Capped the point and got away -- classic infiltrator.

Wave 8 or 9, managed to kill a lot of Ravagers before the team even got set up. Glorius. Banshee kills too, Team's not set up well for rapid kills of Banshees, a lot of sandpapering but typically the Banshee is still around by the time I get to it (and I'm not that fast...). Quick kills because of the AP on the Viper.

Wave 10, Assassination. Spawn in the Columns, I prioritized on killing the Ravager that I could see, but didn't see the Banshee locking on to me. Got hung up on the furniture, and the Banshee easily sync-killed me. No big deal, the team should be able to handle it....

... except the team couldn't handle the remaining Ravager, or the Brute, or the Banshee. Geth got brought down, leaving the two Batarians throwing shockwaves around. They were ok, not killing quick but getting by.. but from the chatter, they didn't realise it was an assassination wave, so they never seriously went after the Banshee (but they did take out the Ravager...). Wave Failed on 10, ran out of time.

It was good to hear chatter that is meaningful, and it was an eye-opener to hear more "normal" players and their reactions to the game. Give me some ideas, really...

Late night, time to call it a night. Tomorrow, Batarian Soldier is up for the challenge.

Lots of games in tonight.

Took out the Batarian Soldier, to try for the squad goal. First in: DIG into Reactor/ Cerberus. Wasn't the right squad, an Asari was in, so that was a wash.. Game wasn't too memorable, partly because I was distracted. Full Extraction.

Second game, met the ticket. White/ Reaper. 1 Krogan and 3 Batarians. I took up position at the corner next to the ladder, and every time a big enough cluster formed, I tossed an Inferno grenade into it. Ravagers get especially loved, as the Harrier's well disposed to dispose them. Someone had a Krysae but to be honest with so many grenades flying around it's a bit hard to see its contributions.

Full Extraction, so we met the squad goal. I was experiencing a bit of lag throughout the session, so it was very surprising to see myself at #1, with a 17K gap from #2.. that's odd. Apparently those Inferno Grenades are kinda nasty.

Got into a Ghost/ Cerberus game. Now this game was good. The BattySol was very busy, Usually handling the Back Street, where the minute I see a Trooper, out went Infernos -- the build and area meant almost certainly I'll catch more than a few. Even Atlases aren't immune, quick tossing and a Harrier hosing killed my share.

Think I got 3 Phantoms; tossed an Inferno out, caught Phantom #1, and between that and the Harrier headshots got her. #2 is messier, short ranged, but got the grenade out before she could do much. Burnt Phantom. #3 just got lucky, she wandered into my sights and a clean headshot from the Harrier. Extraction was muted, Full Extraction.

Was #1, with my second (IIRC) 75 kills medal -- those Infernos are nasty! -- and gap of 20K between #1 and #2. Seems like I tend to do well in crowd-control classes.

Got into a Dagger/ Geth game, but the host broke connection, so that didn't count (even though we got to Wave 8 IIRC...). Last game with the Batarian was a repeat, in Dagger/ Geth. That was entertaining. By now I sort of figured out the good spawn cap positions on Dagger for non-snipers, so I was prepared. On at least 3 separate occassions, I was fast enough around the corner to catch the Geth Prime still close with his entourage.. out went the Inferno Grenades, lots of burning Geth screeching around. Messy kills, but kills nontheless.

Partial Extraction because the Asari Vanguard was too busy playing. Got #1 but only by a slim margin; the team was decent this time round.

========================

Switched to Human Infiltrator to relax and also to test out the Viper X more. First game, Dagger/ Geth. <_< <_<. Was in the game with a Salarian Infiltrator with a Paladin, he's quite good, really. Knew how to cover the sniper's back while she's working.

And she was VERY busy. There was a high N7 Vanguard who apparently doesn't understand the map and kept spawn capping the big spawn out front. Even the low N7 newbie on the team didn't do that, but the Vanguard persistently ran across it. So, the infiltrator team in the Array Control kept getting flanked. <_< Thankfully, the Salarian was very good, ED and Paladin made short work of the Geth which came through. Still a few hairy situations, especially where Hunters are involved.

One Wave, I was fortunate that the Vanguard didn't spawn cap, and was rewarded with a big spawn of Hunters, Pyros and Troopers. Viper's bigger mag and the standard SR stagger meant I locked the spawn down with very quick rotational shooting -- AP mod helped by allowing me to stagger tight groups, and cycling through the targets allowed me to stagger lock the entire group and keep them there till I killed them. Something to remember to do in the future.

Geth Primes get no love from the Viper. I have to remember that I now have six shots, not three -- Valiant bred some bad habits. Kept reloading when I didn't need to. Geth Prime shields are a problem, but the armour isn't -- quick shooting and the Prime tends to go down quick.

Extraction Wave, managed to catch the Prime on his lonesome in the long Array Control Tunnel. Ducking in and out of LOS meant he died quick. Then a long wave of Pyros, which I potted apart. Quiet Full Extraction after that. I was #2, with a 19K gap between me and #1, the Salarian Infiltrator. He was doing a lot of work, including one massive kill streak during an Objective round when I was running around capping stuff.

Next game, White/ Reaper. This one was cute. Turian, Vorcha, Human (me), and one other.. First Wave, Vorcha shot off a rocket. At Cannibals. Shrug.. -_- I did see him pull out the rocket before the wave start, so it was deliberate. My guess was that he may have been trying for the rocket glitch (had a Reegar), but guess the latency wasn't high enough. As it is he's high N7, and a Reegar build, on White... wasn't necessary.

Given that little gem, I just relaxed and gamed on. Turian was set up as a sniper, and the other guy was a CQC build. So things held up ok, and the Turian was gratifyingly prioritizing correctly -- Ravagers get attention first.

One Wave, I think was Objective Cap, sniped apart a Ravager which appeared around the far corner, and was leaving the post to help, when what do I see out of the corner of my eye? Another Ravager somehow has gotten onto the Landing Pad and was about to come up the stairs. Managed to cloak, rapid fire all 6 rounds in the clip, and nailed the Ravager dead.

Wave 9 or 10, Banshee spawned in the room; she came bouncing up, again I spotted the shimmer in the corner of my eye, and rolled away quick while shooting at her. The Turian was target fixated and didn't see her; got sync-killed for it. Managed to down her with rapid fire, but that was a close one -- Turian ate one for me.

Extraction Wave, early excitement as the Banshee-2 Brute push came in. Between 2 snipers, a Reegar and IIRC a Vanguard, that wasn't so bad... Reegar melts the silly Banshees down really quick. After that, a general mop up, then a clean Full Extraction. Was #3, gap of 21K... Two CQC build, not too surprised, and I wasn't really pushing it.

==============================

Took a breather from the Infiltrator, and went to roll up a new Asari Justicar. Alyissa the Justicar came in at Level 16, and went out to Condor/ Cerberus. I ran an Adept previously but wasn't too satisfied -- felt a bit off. Did a Justicar previously and was more to my liking, so I ran with one.

First few waves were... uninteresting. Alyssia was good, her Biotics CD was worked to be minimal, so a lot of Bioplosions. Team was generally on the ball so we got a good time killing Cerbies. One particular Wave, Atlas spawned on the lower tier, I was camping that spawn by standing in the middle building. Started throwing out Pulls and Reaves, and the Atlas popped smoke... but somehow, my teammates were there, and by the time the smoke cleared, the Atlas was gone. I have no idea how it got killed. One moment it was there, the next it was gone.

Killed a pair, maybe 3 Phantoms this game, IIRC. One was a clean Reave kill -- got her so busy locked up blocking my pull, the Reave killed her. Another was similar.

The third happened in Wave 10, Retrival. That was bad. Couldn't stop Engineers from setting up Turrets -- Not really set up to handle armour well. The crossfire made Retrival #2 more like Floor Party #1. Constant floors. Even popped a Barrier by mistake.. sheesh. Phantom got mixed in and I reaved one, but got brought down. But the other Adept apparently threw something, and the killfeed pegged me has having Biotic Exploded a Phantom.

Team managed to get itself off the floor, and killed the turrets, and we moved as one to get the Package to the DZ. Finally cleared -- that was tougher than expected.

Extraction Wave had Alyissa playing. Was at the L-pipe areas, just stayed there to Pull-Reave happily. Lots of Bioplosion, but also kept an eye on the timer. Ran for the EZ in time, Full Extraction.

Alyissa the Justicar looks to be a good addition to the stable. Prefer the setup over the Asari Adept's, but I definitely miss Stasis.

Not many games tonight.

Took out Alyissa the Justicar for a spin. Wanted to do Bronze. Got Dagger/ Cerberus/ Silver instead. <_<

Decided to give it a try. Wasn't too bad. Aside from the fact that Alyissa skipped all the PT classes and is liable to get floored at the slightest wrong glance, she's actually pretty decent on Silver. Reaved quite a few Phantoms, don't know how many I actually killed, but the Reave did put a stop to them.. provided I got away, not that I got away that often. Having difficulty with Atlases and Turrets. Carnifex with AP can only do so much. Bioplosion doesn't happen on Atlases.

Overall I had a slight build issue but I've worked out how to use Dagger on Silver, so it wasn't too bad. Ended up most of the game on the Dark Side, near the East Approach into the long corridor -- terrain blocks LOS and damage until they are really close, in which case my BEs will get a lot of them. Ends up quite ok. I could hold off enough people that my teammates usually end up flanking the horde in time to save my ass.

Wave 10, Retrieval. Teammate got Package 1 and delivered. Package 2 was a lot more annoying -- it was in the Pipeworks, which I was closest, so I ducked in and got it, going by Dark Side to West Approach EZ. Got mostly there, turned the corner from Array Control only to see an Engineer setting up a Turret.. got floored, wasn't fast enough. :pinched: GI picked me up, and he delivered. The stupid Atlas however, was closing in.. so I played ring around the rosie with it and a piece of terrain. Managed to take it apart.. eventually. Extraction Wave was mundane, Full Extraction.

Was quite surprised to see myself at #2 -- wasn't pushing, and didn't feel like it. Got outclassed by #1 by 28k, no surprise; but was surprised, shocked even, to see #3 18K below me. I mean I wasn't really working hard but good grief what were the other two doing? :?

Decided Alyissa got her R&R coming out, so broke out Kiera the Engineer. First game, Goddess/ Reaper. Wasn't so bad. Wave 1, rushing to the ammo point camp I favour (opposite the Elevator Access), I dropped my Drone near the Balcony. Turns out smart move, as the spawn came in through there -- I was killing before I even knew where the spawn was coming from.

Wasn't really keeping track but I kept raising the Drone in or near the Elevator Access. Turns out my Teammates like that spawn point open (sniping from Balcony), so having the Drone in there meant we start killing and distracting even before the Banshee finished shrieking.

Speaking of Banshees, wasn't really tracking, but killed at least 2 (or contributed heavily) -- Overload does nasty things to her Barrier, and Paladin had an AP mod. At least 3 Brutes, easily distracted by Drone and shows backside to me. No track on the Ravagers -- my teammates were very keen to get rid of them.

Wave 6 Hack in the waters wasn't too bad. Kept a Drone on either side to distract and just kept using Overload to keep the stragglers down. Extraction Wave, took out the Banshee Troupe quickly, then fell back through the halls towards the EZ. Left a Drone there to distract, which worked -- the Reapers never got to the EZ from that side. Full Extraction.

Originally intended to break out the Infiltrator for some sniping relaxation, but decided to run with Kiera for the last mission tonight. Glacier/ Cerberus -- good fun. MO is to cap the Hub Spawn, visual cap the Lab spawn, then if time permits, toss a Drone down to the Lower Basement spawn.

Works a charm.

Both Hub and Lab spawn never opened at the start of a Wave -- cap successful! -- which forced the spawn towards either the Landing Pad... which a GE was waiting.... or the Lower Basement, which my Drone (and I) were happily waiting. First few waves were ridiculous, with my Drone and I Overloading everything that popped loose downstairs. That we had a Turian Sentinel who contributed to the Overloading wasn't lost to me... or to Cerberus.

Was treated to the sight in two, three waves that the Atlas spawned downstairs, but got locked in immediately by my Drone. Couldn't move, I was just stripping its shields and then Incinerating/ Paladin its armour away. One got hit by a hasty Cobra from my teammates, while the other two got chewed and whittled down. Clean kills on one, maybe 2 Phantoms. Another partial when the Turian splattered one over the corridor.

Wave 10 Hack, downstairs. Locked the Atlas in with a Drone and the team took it to bits, then all crowded in behind the console. With 2 Engineers and a Turian Sentinel, it's fairly predictable --  Geth turret up top, Drone up the staircase, Overload on anything that came through. Not many, so it was a pleasant stay behind the console.

Extraction Wave, had returned upstairs and locked the Atlas in again. Tore it apart, then retreated through the lab, leaving a Drone for good measure -- and it was good measure, no real threat came through the Lab door. It was actually very quiet as things goes on the LZ, full Extraction.

Now that I've been able to do it myself, the ability of the Engineer to be in two or three places at once -- I was camping 3 spawns essentially -- is a big part of their success. AOE Overload and Chain Drone makes area denial very easy. I might change a few things in my next build, but the Engineer has done very well, including a #1 on a Silver DIG (with no equipment aside from Gear!). Considering she's my 2nd Engineer, Kiera's done very well.

ctryellowbird: Thanks! You can start your own too. Then we'll actually hear good war stories on these forums.

Quick night -- need to be up early tomorrow.

Was thinking over my Alyissa's Armour problem. She can deal with mooks fine, with Pull/ Reave Bioplosion. She doesn't do well with Armour, because the Carnifex doesn't quite put out enough firepower for my taste, and because it's hard for me to hit armoured target far out even with a scope, which meant Alyissa had to expose her unfit (but firm) ass to fire to kill armoured things.

So I dug around to see what I have that will suit my style. Ended up... Alyissa the Asari Adept Sniper. :P Correction: Alyissa the Asari Justicar Adept Viper Sniper. 200% CD FTW, plus Structural Ergonomics II for faster CD. :P :P

First game, Dagger/ Reaper. Heh. Well, my intention was to use Biotics and save the rifle for armoured target. That went out the window -- yeah, the Control Array window. Ended up sniping so much I was only really using my Biotic Sphere, which I didn't spec fully!

Normal Infiltrator bonuses make the Viper very good, and it takes a full round with a non-Infiltrator to appreciate how good.. I normally kill a Ravager as a Human Infiltrator in 6 rounds; Alyissa typically do it in 8, necessitating a clip change. A bit more awkward since it allowed the Ravager to shoot back, but Alyissa's a nice girl, no? :innocent:

The combination of Biotics and AP SR is vicious. Biotics can quickly bring down a Banshee's Barrier, while the AP worked over her armour quite adequately. Brutes are also easier -- Asari natural speed gives her more space to work with, and side dodge, if done right, will evade the Brute's charge. So basically.. The Reapers didn't do so hot on this map.

Wave 10 Objective Cap was a bit hairy because the team just had things going a bit too well and got a bit complacent.. eventually, between me running my ass off after the objectives, plus putting up Biotic Spheres over cappers, and just shooting like an idiot, we managed to cap all and mopped up.

Full Extraction, ended up #1 with just 5K over. Salarian Engineer was very good at #2. Decided to stay with the team, and went into Glacier/ Cerberus.

Glacier's not so good with a SR, but I was too deep into it to care a lot. First Wave managed to dominate a spawn, pinning it in place with a Turian Soldier providing fire support. I left my usual camp site (at the top of the ramp to the Lower Basement) to the Salarian Engineer and he did very good there; I eventually ended up providing him Biotic Spheres to continue the good work. :D

Didn't get any Phantom kills -- simply in the wrong spot all the time -- but did get my share of Atlases. Unfortunately, Alyissa's not quite good against Shields.. considering whether to test with Disruptor ammo, but that's really overkilling it (Anti-armour, anti-barrier, anti-shield...? with BE to boot).

Still a bit too tied to sniping, and not using the biotics enough. So no surprise, after a Full Extraction, that I scored #3, massively outscored by the Salarian Engineer at #1 by 16k or so. Too fixated, need to rebalance her playstyle.

Decided to get in one more match. Condor/ Reaper. Nice. Set up Biotic Camp on the Mine-side of the map, and started sniping. Also started to use biotics more, much better when BE can swiftly narrow down the targets. Thanks to elevation differences, Ravagers are less of an issue -- they don't shoot high or low very well. Brutes are annoying due to their resilience, but wasn't too bad when the Asari can back away calmly.

Wave 3 I think? Assassination. Had a fun time running along the ridge sniping away the targets. IIRC #1 was tagged by someone else, but #2, #3 and #4 were all first engaged by me -- #2 and #3 I quickly dropped with combination of Reave and headshotting, while #4 was hit but killed when the team arrived on site.

Krogan Vanguard dropped in mid game, had his mic on and he was unpleasantly surprised to be in a hot LZ. Wave 10 Objective Cap, I got floored early -- helped or killed the Banshee, and the Brute immediately with her, and the Brute that tip-toed up behind me, just to get crushed under the Brute's bulk and the Cannibal beside it. <_< Shoulder Surfed, the Salarian Engineer was busy going after the objective.. Krogan was a bit too busy shooting things to revive another teammate. <_< Anyhow, it was a successful cap, if cutting it a bit close.

Extraction Wave, Banshee and Brute spawned up, engaged by team but the Krogan targetted the Brute, only for the Banshee to jump in to sync-kill him -- was too far out, was hitting but not enough damage to get her to drop the Krogan. Finihsed off the Banshee, and Brute, only to find another Brute tip-toed up behind me. <_< <_< <_< Backed off successfully, team was concentrated by now and it got incinerated down. Picked off a few with biotics and Bioplosions, then it grew strangely quiet. Full Extraction, #2 and behind #1 (Salarian, who else?) by 4k, above the (late) Krogan by 14k or so.

I think I stumbled onto a particularly powerful combo. A Biotic Sphere, in cover, Reaved Asari should be looking at what.. 105% DR? That's a bit ridiculous. Tapped with a sniper rifle, at 200% CD for her biotics, gives her both options for Crowd Control AND pin-point boss removal. She's only slightly weak against Shields, which can be compensated either with Disruptor ammo (which further amplifies her pin-point removal capabilities), or good teammates. That's quite... annoying. For the AI.:lol::lol:

Not much tonight. Just two games to top off the Galatic Readiness. Both with Alyissa the Justicar.

First was Giant/ Reaper. Two snipers in the game, so it got a bit crowded.. Instead, I went forward as a Designated Marksman, after dropping a Biotic Sphere for the sniper. Works better that way. Twin Engineers, so they function better in close with their Drone.. I ended up Biotic support more. Did two Package runs.

Wave 9 IIRC.. bunch of big boys spawned under the Control Room and came up. It was crowded on that ramp! Was able to use the ramp and outer wall to shield myself from Ravager attacks, and finished off the Ravager that way.

Wave 10, had a very memorable Objective Cap Wave. Didn't cap any -- team was on the ball -- but as #1 came up, a wave of Reapers came in through the bunker side. Since we were at the Control Room, made sense to snipe and keep their attention there. Two of us took out a Brute, then I worked on the two Ravagers a bit... but that let the Banshee close and get into the room, locking on me.

Had a fun cha-cha dance with her around that bloody console. Worked out since the two of us managed to take her down, while the other two teammates capped the objectives.

Extraction Wave, the sniper was old school and camped at the perch. Turns out the Reapers knew that and came through the Control Room. Got caught between a Banshee, a Brute, and a Wall.. at least the Banshee did the courtesy of sync-killing me. Partial Extraction, #3.. wasn't really pushing, so not unhappy.

Stayed with the team. White/ Geth next. Justicar not so great against Synthetics but workable. Problem was, 3 snipers and a Reegar. Too many snipers trying to hold that perch. Ended up I just drop a Biotic Sphere at the start of the turn over the ladder, then back up and out so that the others can work.

As with the earlier match, with so many snipers, I ended up Biotic Support duties instead. Wave.. 6 I think. Retrieval. Reegar moved to pick up, I moved to escort, the other two are Designated Decoy. SpawnMaker cooperated by spawning practically everything in the small room, Both packages were at the Launch Ramp, so Reegar had a long walk. I was covering him from the lower platform doorway, just had a couple of hunters and maybe a handful of Geth.. nothing worth worrying about. Both package delivered safely.

Wave 10 Hack, in small room. 4 of us were around the sniping perch so we were in the room double quick. Tossed up a Biotic Sphere, then let the boys have their fun -- a Javelin, an Engineer, and a Reegar peering down the stairs, ain't no room for a Asari there. Too crowded, better to watch the staircase up to the Upper Platform instead. Picked off a pair of Hunters that way, plus one Geth Trooper who got lost. Hack finished and we mopped up.

Extraction Wave was simple. Engage, destroy, extract. Full Extraction, #3, wasn't pushing so again not unhappy, and wrapped the night.

I got 2 Level 20s, and 2 Level 19s, so I hope the next weekend event is promotion related again.. still, may have to promote a few to explore new builds. Maybe redo the Kroguard again, to get him "right".

Not much to write about.

Broke out my Infiltrator to test the difference after the balance changes. Went through Glacier/ Cerberus and Reactor/ Reapers (IIRC; Reactor game didn't even finished, host got d/c'ed). Not good maps to work out an Infiltrator but you work with what the MatchMaker gives.

Overall.. damage dealt reduction is noticable but not terrible. Cloak just turns into a button to boost damage. Flavour is different, in my opinion gone -- feels like a variant Soldier with a sniper (for Human Infiltrator) or more specialised Engineer for the non-Humans.

Don't think Bioware hit the target.. or rather, they might have hit and cause too much collateral damage. HI spec'ed for damage is just not very interesting (and might be replacable by the HSoldier), and HI spec'ed for duration may not have the hitting power. Doesn't IMO work out very well.

Took out Alyissa the Justicar Sniper to game. Ended up Condor/ Cerberus/ Silver. Wasn't ready for it, so wiped on Wave 10. Learning to stand on my feet for Silver, so I wasn't too disappointed. Got floored many time, but the excellent Kroguard/ Asari Vanguard picked me up. Got a few Phantom kills, mostly through Reave.

Wave 10 cap, we were doing ok, but the Asari Vanguard and I got ambushed by a bunch of Phantoms. I got synch-killed, so had to sit out. Basically we just got whitted down, so failed out.

Decided to leave Alyissa for Kiera the Engineer. Jade/ Geth -- good not great, my own fault as I swap in the Viper for a test. Viper tunnel-vision the Engineer too much and lowers her effectiveness as a crowd control. But I did get guilty pleasure by releasing the drone correctly into a crowd and using it to draw aggro. Partial Extration due to the Jade bug, and #3; not surprised, wasn't working right.

Swapped back to Carnifex for the 200% CD. Went out again, Dagger/ Cerberus. Much better. Killed at least 2 Phantoms by Overload and got a Tech Burst credit off a third IIRC -- Salarian ED burst an OVerload I laid on the Phantom. I do recall a #4 that I killed with a Carnifex shot after OVerloading her.

Atlas kept getting blow away by a N7 2 Vanguard. Extraction was uneventful, to the extent where I could dump my drone back into the Array Control. Full Extraction -- Pistol/ Tech powers feel correct for the Engineer.

A number of games but forgot to take notes...

Started off with Alyissa the Justicar. Swapped her Viper out for a Carnifex. Went out to get her up to 20, first is Dagger/ Reaper. Got into my usual non-sniper perch, which is Dark Side near the ramp down to the Pipeworks.

Not being tunneled vision by the Viper makes Alyissa a much better CC build. She was able to contribute a lot more when she's aware of her surroundings.

I'm finding Biotic classes to be well balanced, but not very memorable, especially since they tend not to be in the frontlines. It's fairly routine to start throwing biotics and detonating them, making the enemy more "fuses to be lit" rather than entertainment.. maybe should stay away from Adepts.

Anyway, Full Extraction. Just needed a bit more XP, so went into Condor/ Cerberus. This was a bit more fun because there was a Vanguard, and from the last match we started synch'ing such that I would Warp instead of Pull, giving him a primer to detonate with his Biotic Charge. That worked out well against some Atlases, I'll drop the Warp and he'll charge in for a nice sounding detonation.

Only saw one Phantom, and that was during a Wave 10 hack in the middle building. She was trying to sneak up on us from the Mining area. I happened to be watching for flankers there. The team just hosed her down.. I might have Reaved her dead, but the team contributed. Full Extraction.

Alyissa hit 20 so I put her one side. Started a Turian Sentinel -- didn't like the no-roll, but liked the Warp and Overload. Started him off with a GP(S)MG, for trials. Went out into Hydra/ Reaper. First few rounds couldn't get into rhythm; Powers are too slow on CD even with 200%, didn't want to turn on the Tech Armour to slow the powers even more, and the GP(S)MG was weird -- had heat sinks and extra ammo on it, so nearly 1000 rounds, but not getting the max out of it.

Ended up discovering that use of powers would disrupt the sine-curve ROF, so that put an end to the experiment.. I just ended up camping spawn points, using the awesome ROF and ammo load to lock down spawns. Would have been a lot more effective with powers in mid range, but wanted to try the GP(S)MG.

It functioned as expected -- the hosing down of an area with it was quite effective at suppressing units as they paused and ducked for cover. Against Brutes/ Ravagers they are good at distracting but takes a bit too long to kill. Against Banshees, it surprisingly strips the Barrier very quickly. It's a fun gun if you know the map and know the sightlines to camp spawns; I actually might carry it in as a secondary for certain classes just to see ammo fly.

Extraction Wave, after we got rid of the Banshee and Brutes, we settled into bunker for the extraction. Found a sweet spot near the Traffic Control and just set there pumping the whole ammo reserves into the corner junction towards the ball room. That happened to be a traffic crossing for Reaper troops and I was just hosing the whole area down and causing them to slow down. Quite interesting as a area control tool. Full Extraction.

Last game, DIG into Ghost/ Reaper. Had switched to Carnifex because the GP(S)MG was basically preventing me from using my powers, so went for a more traditional loadout.

Pretty decent game. There was a Krogan Vanguard, so Warp went out as a primer more often. Chain Overload turns out very useful to stop Cannibals and to strip Banshee Barriers. Nothing particularly memorable about this match, even the Wave 10 hack in the buildings just along the Back Alley turned out fairly tame as someone Cobra'ed the Banshee and Brute which spawned at the far end of the same building. That kept things quiet and I was fortunate to be covered by a window from Ravagers. Full Extraction after we took care of the usual entourage.

That's it for tonight. I actually played more games, but connectivity is a bit bad tonight and I got dropped at least 2, 3 games. Hopefully a promotion event would come soon, I've 4 Level 20s and 1 active right now.. Would be reduced to going back to the Krogan Vanguard if next week isn't a promotion event.

Skipped last night -- too tired. So made up for it tonight, 5 or 6 games. Can't remember them all, not going to try to. All were with my Turian Sentinel.

There's a Ghost/ Reaper game in there somewhere, but not much to talk about. Was a fairly clean mission.

Giant/ Cerberus. Caught a Trooper while he was still on the rail lines above, and hit him with a Overload. He screamed all the way down.. splat. Still had to hit him with a Warp to kill him though.

Same game... sigh. What's with the silly Vorchas? Meleeing Guardians from the front just takes too long and exposes yourself to damage. Pay attention to what the teammates have and realise a Carnifex with AP mod kills Guardians faster.. (An aside: seems that less people bring AP in nowadays. Not sure if it's a lack of understanding...)

Caught a Phantom clean with Overload and killed her. Then her sister pop up behind me in the sniper perch and got me (not synch kill though). Atlases. one of the Vorcha is very Cobra happy.

Condor/ Cerberus. Not a good game. Laggy. Glitched into the air, and stayed there. Couldn't shoot -- falling animation prevents that -- but powers can still be used. So for one wave I had a good time Overloading spawns since I could see practically the whole map.

Then I glitched into the ground. :pinched: ARGH. Embarassing.

Goddess/ Reaper. Good match, good team. By this time my Warp and Overload had hit Evo 6, Warp's built to pierce, Overload to area-deny. So Brutes and Banshees weren't really that problematic -- I claimed at least 2 Banshees and at least 3 to 4 Brutes, if not more. Banshees in particular aren't so fearsome when you can both strip her barriers and undercut her armour AND still have an AP Carnifex.

Ravagers caused more problems. Can't take them fast enough -- on my old Infiltrator, can kill them while they are still thinking. On the Sentinel? Have to hunt cover first.

Had one Wave where the Brute and its Ravagers were coming from the Elevator Acess across the Great Hall towards the Main Hallway (where I was), and the Banshee spawned near the main entrance. I got her attention by Overloading her Barrier, and was kiting her away when she surprised me by teleporting through a partial wall.. that sort of cut my escape route off, literally catching me between a Banshee and a Brute. Managed to dodge around the lab area a bit but ultimately got floored. Still, managed to lure the attention away for quite some time -- was an Objective Wave IIRC.

Last game, Goddess/ Geth. This one was fun. There was another Human Engineer and we ended up in the Main Hallway, at the ammo point. Geth spawning across at the Elevator Entrance and the two of us were just spamming Overload and killing/ locking the spawn down there. Glorious. :o

Prime were pushovers so long you got cover from their cannons. Overload trashes their shields fairly quickly, then Warp does a good number on their armour, and then stack in a AP Carnifex. Claimed at least 2.

Wave 6 IIRC was a Great Hall hack. That also was fun.. We got in, the SpawnMaker came through on the Elevator Access, so both the Engineer and the Sentinel were Overloading a whole room full of Geth.. with the occassional Warp to take down random Pyros. The Hack itself was quite straightfoward but there was so much things flying around that it was quite amusing.

Extraction Wave, Prime showed up and was lured away by me -- team dashed for the Extraction Zone but I stuck with the Main Hallway. Managed to lower his shields mostly, and started working on his armour, but a stray Hunter nearly nailed me. Dropped back into the EZ just in time to see a nervious guy pull a Cobra on a Geth pack including the just-left-armour Geth Prime.. sigh.

Overall a decent night of gaming. I'm not too happy with the Sentinel, so is working at the moment to get him up and promotable. His power CD cycle is just too slow even at 200% -- just not quick enough to do proper crowd control. Also not great enough to do pinpoint killing, so overall he could do both things, but just not well enough for my taste.

Three games tonight, all with the Turian Sentinel.

1st was a Condor/ Cerberus fight. DIG, ended up player #2 on Wave 4 or so.. something not quite right, maybe #1 was soloing.

Team was Cobra happy. It's annoying that way, since the Atlas could be brought down fairly quickly. Think I tagged a Phantom with a Warp but was busy untangling myself from terrain and teammate that I couldn't be sure. Full Extraction.

Levelled the Turian up, then went out to White/ Cerberus. Took up a spot at the corner under the sniper perch. Wasn't too bad a game, got floored a couple of times and lag did strange things when I got revived, but turned out fairly ok. I think I killed the Extraction Atlas through the smoke.. just kept firing. Was a bit suspicious of the Ex-Cerberus Adept, but you take what you get in PUG. Full Extraction, I was #3, no surprise.. I didn't sync well with the group.

Stayed with the group, group lost one and gained a Batarian Sentinel. Next is Goddess/ Geth. Heh. Wave 3 Hack in the Elevator Access, was fairly good; SpawnMaker kept them coming through from the outside so my Chain Overload had plenty of targets.

Noticed that the Phoenix Adept started camping near the Elevator Access spawn, and I sighed. He's not very familiar with the spawn cap pattern we were running then.. true to form, we got flanked, not too badly.. Claimed one Geth Prime in the lab area, he was turning around and around when the team finally got to cornering him. Managed to Overload - Warp him to death, with sprinking of help from the Carnifex.

Wave 8, Geth Prime spawned in the Elevator Access, and I nailed his entire spawn group with a Chain Overload. That got its attention and it came after me. Took a few cannon to the face and backed off, but kept peeking around to Overload and Warp him. Team helped out towards the end; can't remember if I landed the killshot.

Wave 10 Objective Cap. Noticed the team not very awake and the PA was happily smashing things to bits in the Elevator room. Took #1, #2; #3 was done by s Soldier. Noted with some satisfaction that the PA got floored some time during this period; he wasn't really syncing with the team, mainly going for kills. But was also concerned that they were still working on the Geth Prime...

#4 both myself and the Soldier took it, but the Soldier quickly died to a Hunter from the rear, who also attacked me but I was lucky to cap the point before he floored me. The rest of the team, including the extremely helpful Batarian, finally pop by to revive me and the Soldier. We then mopped up, the Prime having been dealt with some time during my flooring.

Extraction Wave, Geth Prime spawned in the Elevator Access, I was in my usual Main Hallway camp spot. Got his attention with a Carnifex round, so he came over... seems like my teammates were all in the EZ by now. <_<. So I solo'ed the Prime. Wasn't too hard, mostly just Overload and then Warp. Had to run back up the Main Hallway when he got too close -- seems like a teammate got his attention for a bit. But I doubled back when the shields were up and finished it off.

(I don't know. I was able to fairly quickly take the Geth Prime down solo; the other guys who are more combat oriented took a lot longer. It's unfair of me to say, but I was wondering what's going on there...)

Ran the Turian through the pack of Geth gathering for a push through the main entrance, OVerloading a few along the way. Broke through to the EZ, and then turned around to CC a bit. Full Extraction, #1 ahead of the PA by 800 points or so.

Couple of thoughts.. The Turian Sentinel, I'm finding quite ungainly. He's not bad, Warp and Overload means he fits into most teams fluidly, and his weapons stability helps a lot. But his CD is too slow for my liking, even at 200% AND a Ergonomics II (7.5%). He's ok, but ability to sustain damage output is quite a bit lower than dedicated Tech or Biotic killers.

As for the Phoenix Adept.. I've played the PA before. It's not a great CQB class.. it's a bit squishy and its powers are a little too uncontrolled. Lash is ok but without clear ability to control where the enemy lands, it's a bit dangerous. Smash was too short ranged when I played it, but the recent buff extended its range. I won't necessarily try to close the range with intent to use smash, the way this player did.

Thing is though, by the way he played the class, it was hurting the team a bit. Spawn capping the wrong spawn without checking what the team was doing is a bit off. Inability to target prioritize is sort of norm for CQB players (with legitimate reasons), but when it's an Engineer setting up a Turret in the distance vs 2 Troopers in the foreground, makes you wonder what you would kill first (me? I'd choose the Turret. He chose the Troopers).

Watching this guy play and seeing the effect he had on the team.. he's good, good enough to play a PA in close. But this drives home why the points doesn't matter that much.

So, I started on my ME3 Insanity Run, found the ME3 Datapad app, and had a bad connection night. All three conspire to just put me at one game done tonight... but still 100% galatic readiness. :)

Had a Ghost/ Cerberus fight. My wonky connection reports the host dropped in Wave 6. Restarted, I was host.. my connection can't host. So we were treated to a nightmare of jumping teammates. In the end I quit so that my teammates need not suffer my poor connection...

Went on to Condor/ Geth. Not too bad, managed to kill a Geth Prime by myself... then the Host dropped again, on Extraction Wave. When I popped back, I was host... alone.

Damn if I'm going to let the fruits of one whole match go like this.

2 mins to solo. Fine. The Turian Sentinel started making laps around Condor. Start at the low point LZ, started making laps up to the mid tier. Stopped to Zap a Hunter -- mistake, got caught on the middle building by Pyros, downed.

Waited till 1 min, just before bleeding out. Medigel, up and jump down from the middle building to escape the Pyros. Started making laps again, up slope. One whole circuit, didn't even bothered to shoot. Just kept running. And it works! took some damage but was able to keep alive.

About halfway up the mountain, was 9 sec away, dropship buzzed in. I turned around and busted ass pass a Hunter coming up. Had I took the downramp I'd have gotten into the EZ with 1s to spare, but I dropped off the ladder and couldn't quite get in.. lost by 1s, damnit!

With the ME3 Datapad app, I didn't need to game so hard to keep the Galatic Readiness up, so skipped last night (and was unwell anyway). So went with six matches tonight.

Turian Sentinel gets trotted out first. A bit weary of him, he's a bit too heavy for my liking. Anyway, Jade/ Reaper. Wasn't great, Wave 9 wipe. I was cleaning up some Marauders and Cannibals when I realised the Phoenix Vanguard is smashing against the Banshee. And that a Brute is coming up behind. So I got caught between a Brute and a Banshee, and got sync-killed by the Banshee.. The rest of the team scored no better. The PV had been constantly going down, so I guess it's just someone trying to figure it out. Smashing a Banshee didn't seem quite smart though.

Dropped into Goddess/ Cerberus. This time better. The recent Cerberus boost really didn't do that much.. Yes, Guardians take a bit longer to kill, and the Nemesis is a bit more of a pest, but overall they are still manageable. Atlases kept getting Overloaded and Warped. The Sentinel does have the tools to get the job done. A clean kill on a Phantom -- she got hit with Warp and Overload, took cover while cloaked; was able to see her and put an end to her. Full Extraction.

Then onto White/ Reapers. This one's a bit odd, The team had squishy people and I ended up doing a lot of revives. Got good hits on the armoured Reapers, Warp does the trick well. Ended up Full Extraction, IIRC #2 on the table because I had weird crap like Biotic Kills, Headshots and Revive medals.

Final game with the Turian, back to Jade/ Cerberus. Much better team, though initially I thought the Geth Engineer would be dominating. Turned out he was a bit squishy, couldn't stand up to punishment. Had a good time picking off Guardians, and was a memorable kill when I peeked over the balcony and saw an Engineer and his turret there. Killed the engineer with a downwards head shot, then took the turret out safely -- it couldn't hit me. Atlas galore but didn't see any Phantom. End result was Full Extraction, good game there.

Turian hit 20 so I left it alone. Went back to Krogan Vanguard. Still trying to figure him out. Carnifex-armed, spec'ed for Biotic Charge and Barrier but no Rage. Dropped into Condor/ Geth, did fairly well. Got Prime kills by whittling them down then finishing them off with Biotic Charges/ pistol shots. Had my share of panic situation where I charged Pyros, like in the Extraction Wave when I failed to see the second Pyro.. thankfully the CD on Biotic Charge was fast enough. Full Extraction.

Mulled over the Krogan's loadout, decided to give the Viper a try. Dropped into Dagger/ Reaper/... Silver. :pinched: Gave it a run, wasn't too bad. For some reason the stupid Banshees liked to lock onto me.. was cornered during Wave 10 by a pair and got sync-killed. But got my share of Biotic Charge/ Melee Banshees, and was able to hold my own against Brutes. Ravagers had priority, and I've accidentally hit Charge thinking I'm still an Infiltrator... Doh.

Didn't do well but a Bronze setup into Silver and came out decently alive.. that's not too bad. Think the SR is not the right way but still have to experiment around a bit. Hopefully, not in Silver.

Thanks, it helps a lot to hear that. ^_^

Short night, 3 games. That's after going around the Citadel and Normandy in SP... There are times when I wish the peoples aren't so chatty.

Had a bad White/ Cerberus game. Was running Krogan Vanguard with a SR, didn't work out. Thankfully the game didn't work out either -- host D/c'ed.

Swapped out for a normal Carnifex. Went into Hydra/ Cerberus. Midway through got floored and hit IIRC the Vanguard glitch.. kept floating above the ground. Partial Extraction, but I noted that I still scored above a particularly weird Male Quarian sniper. That guy wasn't particularly playing in the team.. Got brought down early in one wave (walked into a turret), so shoulder-surfed. He was basically just sniping, not really assisting the Capping team, which was much better coordinated.

Stayed with the team, this time it was Giant/ Geth. The Male Quarian swapped into a Krogan Soldier with a Claymore, and I realised early on that he's a rager -- my Kroguard isn't, so I might end up grabbing what he needed. So kept a distance.  Basically just went around Biotic Charging when it's sensible, and sniping with the Carnifex when it wasn't. Don't think I killed any Geth Primes that way but definitely contributed. It was a fairly good team, everyone contributed pretty evenly.

Extraction Wave was quite a laugh because I caught a pack of Geth at the entranceway to the rooms near the EZ, and just kept Biotic Charging them. Since I spec'ed for radius, that meant the whole back just got knocked back every time I charged.. basically keeping them bottled in the room. Eventually that killed them and I rounded out, popped a few Pyros and Hunters, then got into the Zone. Full Extraction, no issues. Was surprised to see myself #1, didn't think I was doing that much damage..

Mused a bit, decided to break out the Falcon and Cryo ammo for laughs. Slapped that on the Krogan Vanguard, and went out. Reactor/ Reaper. Not a great map for the Falcon but passable. There was a Phoenix Vanguard who eventually topped the chart, very aggressive, perhaps a bit overly so. A Quarian Infiltrator which kept yelling about her suit, and one other guy.

Cryo is a good ammo, plenty of freezing play here. Reactor has plenty of bottlenecks for Cryo to work with, so it was quite a walk. Eventually, in one of the later waves, I got lazy and just camped at the bottom reactor door. On two waves, I managed to freeze down the entire spawn -- basically kept firing Cryo grenades and locking up the spawn. The Quarian was just above me and she also took part in the fun with her SR, so basically it was a cakewalk.

Playing Falcon mule meant I wasn't charging as often, but I did get to use Carnage fairly often. Still got in a few Biotic Charges, against Brutes usually, but did kill at least one Banshee by spamming grenades -- that was Wave 10, I just picked up the first Package, and was walking back to the EZ. Banshee had passed through the Reactor before me so I was looking at her ass. Grenades out, killed her dead and then walked over her corpse to deliver the Package.

Ravagers were more problematic as they are largely immune to Cryo and doesn't stagger that much, but we prioritized and got the job done.

Extraction - took out the Banshee and her Brute early by charging and killing quickly, then retreated to cover the Overlook Corridor. Goodness, that was a good idea. Was able to spam grenades and basically locked at least 2 waves of spawn, probably 3~4, dead.. Cannibals and Husks mostly, clean frozen and shattered long before they got to be a problem. Full Extraction. #2 on the table, 9k above #3 but some 15k to 20k behind #1, the PV. Wasn't too surprised; he was very aggressive.

Falcon's not the answer for the Kroguard but it works fairly well. Gotta think about it.

Skipped last night because I was upgrading my connection this morning. Yay!

3 games thus far. 2 with the Kroguard, one with an infiltrator just to keep in touch.

Kroguard went into Jade/ Geth. Jade is a nice map but Geth are quite predictable, with so few units. Grounded down a few Primes and then Biotic Charged them, and then melee'd them -- at least a couple of kills that way. Full Extraction.

Glacier/ Cerberus with a Falcon and Cryo. Had a good time, some problems with Guardians but that's to be expected. Camped up top the ramp, on Wave 6 IIRC, started there and was hit with a big wave of spawns below. Incredibly fun firing popsicle grenades down and freezing whole swatches of enemies trying to get around the chokepoint while my teammates were pushing lead down.

Turned a corner on a late Wave and ran into a Phantom. Tagged her good with a Falcon round and she staggered back; teammate then socked her good with AR rounds. Worked Atlases too with Biotic Charge and melee -- next round might want to respec into melee damage. Full Extraction, can't really go wrong with a good team.

Had a failed White/ Geth mission (host d/c'ed). Got a little bored with the Krogan, so dug out my old (pre-nerf) Human Infiltrator. Decided to swap out the Viper X for a Valiant IV, mostly to see what the new rifle's like. Slapped Disrupter II on it, and went into Ghost/ Reaper (which is a good test, IMO).

Team's a bit wonky. Vanguard, Asari Vanguard, Turian (IIRC) Sentinel, Infiltrator. The rest tended to have tunnel vision, really...

Wave 3, Cap Objectives. Had started out camping over a spawn so was busy killing, then I realised nobody was going for the objective. Rushed over, got beaten there by the Asari (who's a bit more aware). Theme throughout the wave, others are too keen on killing even if the objective is nearby. I ended up humping after most of them, IIRC. Wave 3 is usually the point where you see which are the team players and which are not, which didn't give me any comforting thoughts here.

As it is, team's decent only at killing.. spawn capped wrong stuff, forcing odd spawns; actual killing was so-so, often a bit scrappy. Wave 6 assassination.. same deal. Focussed on killing the stuff on display, forgetting the targets.

Banshees started showing up, the value of the Disruptor ammo started showing up too. Zipped through at least one Banshee, probably 3. Brutes are trivial as long as I can catch them at range; AP mod deals a lot of damage to them.

Wave 10, Assassination. Banshee pops with 3 Ravagers in the Back Street; pushed in and focussed on the Ravagers, ignored the Banshee. Due to my positioning, I was nailing 2 Ravagers with each shots, so those two dropped fast; but the third got me while I was sandpapering it. Team popped by but couldn't revive me -- fair enough, Ravager was peppering the position and the Banshee was there.

Shoulder-surf for a bit. You believe they ignored the Ravager happily camping outside the Central Pod door firing its cannon? Floored at least two teammates that way, simply because they were busy shooting at Cannibals inside. Cannibals. Good grief. #3 Assassination target, a Cannibal, and we were down to 30sec before the Asari made a serious attempt at killing it. Got it with something like 12s to spare, #4 pops up.. thankfully someone took the Cannibal out before time.

Can kill things. Can't work as a team to finish the objectives, can't prioritize targets. Not a good sign.

Extraction Wave, Banshee popped but Brute came out faster; kill. Banshee out, kill. Brute #2 flanked and got behind us, took its armour down fast and got an assist. After that, gradual fall back and Partial Extraction -- Sentinel was having fun. #2 even though I spent most of Wave 10 on the ground. A Vanguard was over me by 15k to 20k. I just ended up shaking my head.

Infiltrator, I can live with the damage reduction, but the cloak duration reduction meant the Damage-spec Human Infiltrator is very one-dimensional. I don't like that but as a damage dealer I can live with it.

Oh and one more thing.. I let you guys who read this into a little secret. I said I upgraded my internet connectivity earlier. All 7 pages before this? All gameplay done on a 3G link. Mwahhahaha.

Having a better connection means too many games to remember properly. I took the Human Infiltrator out first, to get warmed up.. Giant/ Cerberus. Not too bad, was competing with another HI with a Widow. Can't remember who won -- might have dropped to #2.

Took out the Kroguard to get him up to 20.. so should be about 5 or 6 games. Can't really remember those very well. Was experimenting with the Scorpion (Hydra/ Cerberus) and Arc Pistol (Goddess/ Geth). Not very impressed/ capable with either, so eventually swapped back.

One memorable incident. Extraction Wave (IIRC) on Goddess. Geth Prime striding down the Entry Hallway, for some reason heading back in. The other Kroguard charged him from the front.. so I charged from the Prime's back. So here's this poor Prime caught between two Krogans who are now busy dismantling him... heh.

I do remember a White/ Cerberus game, had the Falcon on. Was getting really annoyed with a fairly tame/ somewhat lacking player -- he was ineffectively firing through smoke, not really hitting anything, but not aggressive enough to take it through the smoke. I had to earlier headbutt him to get him not to block my line of sight at the sniper perch (he was running with an AR, which isn't that useful at that position).

So, top of stairs to the landing pad. Smoked by Centurion. Set the Falcon on the hip and started firing blind through the smoke.. but you roughly know where the enemies would be. A few kills and I emerged from the other side of the crowd wondering where the enemies went to.. 3 mooks only? Sheesh.

Got the Kroguard to Level 20, so swapped out to the Human Infiltrator to get some "rest time" and to get some credits. Condor/ Cerberus. Good team, nice workout. Atlases weren't a serious problem especially with a Male Quarian somewhere around.

Wave 10, cap. Got distracted early with a massive spawn around the mine area, Phantom showed up, and I got a clean kill off her -- placed headshot as she went into cover. Then started working on the Atlas, but the second Phantom showed up and we had to scramble to stay alive. That Phantom took my teammate down, I rushed in, cloaked and revived, and then placed shot the Phantom dead -- so 2 dead Phantoms in one wave, and contributions towards the Atlas. Not too bad for a single Wave's work. Full Extraction.

Put the Infiltrator aside, promoted the Soldier as I wanted to work a build up, then also promoted the Adept to run a Drell Adept. Took the Level 1 Drell into a DIG, about round 6 or 7 into White/ Geth. Wasn't impressed. Team had a Human Vanguard, an Asari Adept (IIRC), and a Sentinel IIRC. Problem was it wasn't a sync'ed team, so while the killing was ok, there were odd things.

Wave 10, capping. Team was too eager to kill and got floored when a wave of Geth came out shooting. I was gunning for #3 (IIRC) when I got ambushed and killed in the stairwell.. then I got treated to shoulder cam as teammate after teammate got brought down by Primes and Pyros that they can't seem to deal with.

Human Vanguard medigel and proceeded to solo the round. Got #3 and #4 by kiting things around, then turned around to kite the Prime around some more. In the end he managed to kill everything.

Extraction Wave, first thing the HV did was to Cobra the oncoming Prime. <_< If you had a missile why didn't you use it during Wave 10 when your kiting massed the whole lot together??!?

Sheesh.

Anyway, Partial as the Sentinel was away playing, Good grief.

Ow. I hadn't ran so many games in so long. I now have a headache to accompany me...

Can't recall all the specifics, so really just highlights.

White/ Cerberus game with Drell Adept: Floating Phantom. IIRC, lobbed a Cluster Grenade early, must have stripped her Barrier. A Pull sent her skywards, and I was so amazed by the sight that I didn't Bioplosion her.. Widow gunner got her instead. Sheesh.

Goddess/ Cerberus game. In the Main Hall, Pulled a Cerberus Trooper. I have no idea which laws of physics he broke, but he shot skyward fast... into the roof. Not my problem anymore...

Jade/ Reaper. Asari, Asari, Drell, something. Bioplosion like you have NO idea. First Wave my face just went flat and I walked down the upper balcony area detonating Cannibals methodologically. Never hear so many things blowing up in so short a time. Banshees got killed that way and we had a good time warping Ravagers and Brutes too.

Dagger/ Geth. Human Infiltrator. This match I worked hard for.. the team just somehow didn't have takedown power. Hack objective, I stayed in the Array Control while the rest went to the West Approach hack. Good grief I was busy, sniping so many things away. Was able to IMO take some pressure off the team -- even if the Geth were a bit slow and didn't notice me sniping as they filtered through the Array Control on their way there. 75 kill medal, kind of rare to get that.

Drell Adept, Reactor/ Geth. Was a good team and good fun, Vorcha and
Drell teams up decently, and a lot of Bioplosion. Extraction Wave and
we were playing.. I kept meleeing the Prime until someone shot it dead. Still managed a Full Extraction.

Drell Adept on Hydra/ Geth. Got a kick-vote just as I readied up so I wasn't in the best of mood. Not a bad game, even against Geth. Extraction Wave, was pinned by Hunters and Pyros and Prime, so I was hunkered behind cover.. grabbed a couple of Hunters for grab kills. Eventually a teammate got fed up and shot a Cobra to remove the Prime.. ah well.

Human Infiltrator, on Dagger/ Geth. Again had to work hard, but this time because the team of Engineers don't understand what "kill zone" is. Kept capping or petting the big kill zone, making it harder and longer to kill things. Or worse, shift the spawn over to somewhere else, meaning it takes yet longer. Eventually I had to put a round through one of them to get the message across.

Prime showed up and went away. Disruptor ammo and AP mod tears through them. Extraction Wave Prime, I tagged and solo'ed; that Array Control pillar was very good at soaking Prime cannon rounds. Then had a very good time multishotting all those mid tiers that came through the tunnel... one straight line for me to shoot through. Full Extraction, #2 on the table behind a GE (IIRC).. considering it was a full team of Engineers with pets, scoring #2 isn't too bad.

A hectic day of gaming. Ow, my head.

Oh yeah. Just remembered. Giant/ Reapers with the Human Infiltrator. Wave 10 hack in the courtyard.

Good grief I was busy. Pointed to the Bunker as the Banshee was coming from there; helped killed it, shift aim to the right, take on the Brute and Ravagers. Killed just in time to spin to the Gun Control side to see a Brute creeping up on us. Snipe and kill. Worked for that match, I did.

Also, Drell, Jade/ Reaper. Literally was running around the building supports with a brute chasing me while I slowly whitted it down with Warp and a Carnifex. The first time was accidental; subsequently, deliberate. xD

So, what happened tonight?

Well, opened with Human Infiltrator to warm up. Ghost/ Cerberus. Cakewalk really. Disruptored Valiant isn't going to bother too hard. There was a Krysae user though...

So anyway, pretty routine outing. Managed to get a few good positions in the Back Street and wiped out whole spawns as they landed from above. Don't recall killing any Phantom in good ways, so my teammates probably got them. Did get more than my share of Atlas, including one that spawned on me while I was rushing to spawn cap. Damn near bit the dust, but managed to backpedal and splatter shots out fast enough to thin the herd.

The Turian with the Krysae kept getting underfoot though. As crowded as the lanes are, the whole point is not to choke up and let the AI shoot you in a barrel. Point to note -- route the engagement might be single file, but on engagement should fan out to present more firing lanes and not choke each other. I think I normally do that, but gotta remember to do it more often.

One Retrieval, I got #1, #2 got picked up by the Turian but I don't think he has any idea what to do with it. Kept moving towards the fight... eventually he dumped the load and I had to bring it back for him.

Extraction was quiet, we managed to beat back the Atlas early and had a quiet time. I think I got #2, #1 went to an Engineer. Turian got #4, no surprise because it was Level 1. So fair enough...

Warmed up, so started kitting out the Drell Adept. Wanted to give the Talon IV another go. Put the best I can afford and Dropped in to...

Reactor/ Geth. Okay, that's not too bad.

Gold.

Nuts.

Ah well, give it a shot. Team is good, 2 Salarian (SI and SE) and something else. Human Engineer I believe. I had the equipment, decently levelled guy (was around 18). So, worst is that these guys scrap me off the ground often, right?

And they did that. I didn't score high, since I dropped in on Wave 3. And they are more experienced in Gold than I am. But I don't think I dragged them, since we were camped at the LZ, good cover against the endless Geth Primes. Took my shots with a Disruptored Talon, good against Primes and I got my kills of them.

I remembered halfway through that for the achievement, I have to do all the original 6 maps.. and Reactor was the hardest back then. Ok, let's give it a shot.

Wave 10, Hack on the upper side of the Reactor. Got there, got the hack, then the last Prime ambushed us with his pack and we fell apart. All dropped. But NOOO! I am not about to give me Gold Reactor run away to a stinking PRIME!, Medigel, got up, got downed, up again, ducked into cover, took out a Cobra and EAT HOT COBRA YOU STUPID PRIME!

*ahem*

Long story short, we mopped up, then headed back for extraction. Funny thing, I was doing the circumvent route, but the Overlook swarmed out with a Geth Prime and at least 4 Pyro. Too many to rush, so I ducked into the reactor to take the shot cut (and thankfully the ledge shielded me from Geth Prime fire.. could hear him firing at me). Only to run into the back of another Prime.. Burst through with speed and got into the EZ. Got downed a few times but the teammates picked me up. So, Partial -- the Engineer IIRC got downed at the last moment, but that Gold Reactor is mine! :o

I may not do it gracious or well, but yes, I can do gold.

Dropped back into Bronze, kitted out the Talon again to have a proper test.. but accidentally put Adrenaline I. One... gone into Goddess/ Cerberus. That was a nuts match. Krogan, Vorcha, Speedy Gonzales, and one other. So a lot of running around as a massive pack of rolling muscle and death. Never tried Adrenaline, totally couldn't aim with it. Too fast. On the good note, so fast I didn't really take much damage. Just skirt skirt skirt. Ow. Brain spinning...

So it looked as if I was busy but I really wasn't hitting anything. At all. Even with powers, because I'll twirl so fast I'll lose lock. Pretty things fly left and right, but I pretty much couldn't hit. At last I managed to get it right and did see a Centurion fly apart quite nicely under Talon fire. Full Extraction, last on the table, for good reasons.

So went out again! White/ Geth/ Gold. Grh. This one I failed, Wave 6 wipe. Retrieval, #1 was retrieved, #2 I got to but couldn't get it back because the first route had a Prime, and nobody was clearing it, the second route had a bunch of Pyros and Hunters and nobody was clearing it. In retrospect I might have used a missile, but wasn't thinking in Gold terms and just died under fire. By then 2 of the other teammates had bit it, and there was only the Vorcha left. Everyone just quietly bled out....

Not happy. Tone down the kit, went out. Goddess/ Reaper. N7 2000+ Asari Adept (IIRC), another Asari Adept, and a Human Engineer (IIRC). So lots of booms. Very fast game, when everyone is on the ball. Mooks boomed away, Ravagers got warped into death, even Brutes and Banshees didn't last too long against 3 strong Biotics throwers. No problems, very enjoyable game. Full Extraction.

So overall, a very good night. A successful accidental Gold run, that I felt I contributed instead of being carried. A string of good experience with the Talon, which is a good sign. A good warm up round with the Human Infiltrator, always nice to run her hard and get satisfaction for it. Not too bad for a Monday night.

Wow, four month old thread! You're veteran.

Haha, I started it soon after ME3 is released. Just kept it updated.

So, early start because I didn't want to work on the take-home work...

Warm-up game with my Human Infiltrator. Dagger/ Geth. Host was a GI, I think I got a kick vote from him early... but survived it. First few turns, I was just poking away in Array Control with the Valiant. I won't deny, I was fast so quite a bit of killing. Noticed that the GI started to spawn cap the Spawn I was killing, didn't think too highly of it but just went elsewhere to keep killing.

Then the Host quit. Right after I brought a Prime down. Urgh. Sigh. It's Dagger. It doesn't get more sniper-ish than Dagger, even Giant isn't as sniper-friendly. Even Hydra isn't as sniper friendly. When I play non-sniper classes, I learn to go where the sniper can't reach and play there...

Anyway, most of the team stayed with the migration, so we just went merrily on to kill. Wave 10 Hack (IIRC), stayed behind to provide cover, only to have the Geth filter through Array Control in a nice line. Too bad this time they noticed me, so I had a cha-cha session with them. Full Extraction, killed the Geth Prime quick -- I think I got all the Geth Primes actually. So Extraction wasn't really a hassle.

Warmed up, so pulled out the Drell Adept. He's 19, so almost time to let him go. Hydra/ Geth. First few turn, I kept dying. I couldn't figure out why. Yes, Drell are squishy but not that squishy.

Then I took a close look at what the rest were carrying. Mantis/ swap Geth Pulse Rifle. Geth Pulse Rifle. Arc Pistol?

Where's the facepalm emoticon? :pinched: To be fair they were low levels (N7), so probably not experienced enough to see the setup as a water fight...

So I choked the Adept back, can't go running around when your backside is being covered by water guns. Things got better immediately, we were better coordinated, better gunned (by a Talon... ). Got through the game, though Primes were a problem. Full Extraction, no issues.

Drell hit 20, so swapped him out for Lynette the Human Grenadier. Level 1, Falcon X with Cryo. Stayed with the group, so was hoping to be able to use the Cryo to freeze things up for the rest to shoot up.

Went into Glacier/ Cerberus... well, so much for THAT idea. Ended up mostly at the ramp top, raining freeze down on the Cerberus. The team started learning the map that way, I believe.

Got a nice kill against a Phantom by slamming grenades into her face, then finishing her off with a Concussive Shot. Atlas and Guardians were a lot more problematic because there wasn't an AP mod in the house, but we got through it somehow. Extraction Wave, I got behind the Atlas and started taking it apart. A GPR finished it off though. Full Extraction, #1 on the chart with a Level 1 Soldier.. expected, experience counts, weapons helped.

Went off from the group, decided to stick with levelling Lynette. Went into Jade/ Reaper, was a bit strange because it felt very empty.. couldn't find the enemy for the first few waves. Wave 5, Host D/c'ed, team scattered. I ended up host and solo.. got brought down, wasn't that good.

And was treated to a succession of players warping into the game, frozen at the Landing Zone, while the Brute and Cannibals went at them. It was quite obvious the game was cheating at that point.. but credit to the new team, they were able to break free and took the Wave down.

Subsequent waves, had a lot of fun moment. Kept drawing the Banshee straw, so kept dancing cha-cha with them. Mostly ok; I was able to keep the distance and they were slowed by the Cryo. Wave 10 IIRC, the Banshee finally warped me dead, but by then I've already scored a few of her sisters, so fair's fair. Brutes and Ravagers are slightly more problematic but could be handled.. I had to go gung-ho on a few Ravagers, closing to kill. Falcon can't punch armour.

Extraction Wave. Killed the Banshee and the first Brute, but got caught in the Pillars' corner by the second Brute, and a Husk. And a grenade joined the party.

Why Me? :crying:

Teammates picked me up and we managed to Full Extraction.

So far quite a decent night of gaming. ;)

This is a fun thread to read.

Thanks, it helps to know.

Anyway, tonight I was sneaking games in between laundry loads.. heh.

Warmup with Infiltrator, Reactor/ Cerberus. Didn't put any ammo, just the usual Gear. Trying to get used to basic fighting again, a bit too much bling lately. Game, nothing out of ordinary, except that I kept getting into the situation where Cerberus is shooting at me from above. Then I'll suddenly be caught in the midst of raining men. Sheesh. Decent team, though a bit too "runny" to be good with the Infiltrator. Full Extraction, couldn't snipe down the Overlook corridor because too many teammates like to stand in front of me...

Brought Lynette the Grenadier out for levelling. Decided she needed a dedicated AP piece, so one of the rare times my character goes into the fight with a backup piece.. a Talon, in this case.

Ghost/ Cerberus, not terrible.. Stand-offish Human Engineer, hides in the Central Pod and doesn't get along with the rest of us. Geth Engineer who's a little bit too fixated with firing, often getting floored.. I was wondering where he gets his medigel from. Was quite amazed that he got floored so frequently, Hunter mode is both for hunting and running away...

Last guy was a Salarian Engineer. I don't know. Shoulder Surf him when I got floored by a Turret I didn't see. His aim with the GPS is a bit.. bad. And for some reason I think he forgot he had ED for some time, or his CD is horrible.

Anyway.

The backup Talon is nice. Having a dedicated AP piece means when I strip the Atlas' shields off, I got something that will quickly chew through him. However, Talon without ammo mods is a bit restrictive. Had some issue with getting the gun back on target on Guardians.

Managed to kill my share of Atlas this way, and I even got a very nice Phantom kill; saw her spawning, Falcon'ed her, bounced her around, and with a bit of assist killed her cleanly.

Extraction Wave got ambushed by the Atlas -- that's the second time the SpawnMaker burst that same spawn point I was capping with a boss and ambushing me. First time I managed to survive the Banshee, didn't quite do so well with the Atlas this time. Medigel'ed got up, mopped up, Full Extraction.

Didn't quite like the Talon, because the weight is affected the CD, so I swapped back to a Phalanx. Better. Dropped into White/ Cerberus. A Human Infiltrator with a SR, a Turian with the new Protean Rifle, and a Salarian Infiltrator I think.

Turian's easy to find. Just follow the light beam backwards. Not very impressed with the gun's effect TBH, it's a bit awkward. Have to get it first before commenting further. Human Infiltrator was ok but overshadowed by the Turian and the SI. SI was too Cobra happy -- every non-extraction Atlas, he parked a Cobra into. It's a bit strange considering that SI is especially good at getting rid of Atlas...

Caught a couple of Phantoms IIRC; I decided early that the sniper perch is a bit overcrowded (the HI and Turian were both fighting for position there), so I went into the downwards stairs within. So managed to catch a couple of Phantoms bottled into the room. Rapid firing Grenades stagger-locked them and they just died.

Phalanx worked out better for me. Guardians are now a "swap weapon, empty clip" affair. And against Atlas, a Phalanx X with Extended Barrel and AP mods do one bar of damage per shot, so it's rather quick.. about 13 shots. And it's a big target.

Extraction Wave, I stayed in the stairwell and started roaming. Saw the Atlas coming so I played ring-around-the-rosie with it.. turned out that I ended up going through a whole lot of Guardians that way.

Went out the back way, 1 Guardian there. Dispose. Outside, the Atlas started going back into the room from the other entrance, so I followed... and another 2 Guardians were there. Disposed. Stairwell, 1 Guardian. Disposed. Room, 2 Guardians, disposed. Stairwell up to sniper perch, Atlas' backside. Disposed.

Ended up so annoying that I actually missed the pickup. The team had totally just left the Atlas alone -- that's one of the rare times that I didn't see the team go out to kill the boss! As it ended up my most direct route to the EZ was full of Guardians and a Atlas plug. I got through it fine, but missed extraction by a couple of seconds.. Parital.

Went back out. Jade/ Cerberus. Tonight is a Cerberus night.. Falcon does a royal number in Jade, with some very nice places for you to murderize Cerberus. Team was a bit odd, a bit mismatched.. Not terrible but just oddballs.

Good clean kill on a Phantom, the other one got killed by a teammate. Atlas disposal is fairly straight forward now, and we actually can do it rather than someone stuffing a missile into it.

Got sandwiched again during Extraction, by Guardians this time. Sheesh. Medigel'ed and got to Extraction, Full Extraction for this one.

Last game for the night, took out the Human Infiltrator to wrap up. Hydra/ Reapers. Nothing going right in the match.. DIG on Wave 3, comes in and the LZ is overran with Cannibals. I got clean away but the other guy -- Geth -- got floored just starting out. Picked him up, then got down to business, but for some reason my sniping quite off. A lot of misses. Probably too tired.

Asari Justicar in the game was fairly Cobra happy, which is not so great for me.. She blew away at least 2 packs, which would have been fun to work on. But you get what you get in DIGs and PUGs. Killed my share of Banshees and Brutes, Ravagers were a little harder to find on this one.. Had a good one where he spawned right behind a whole stew of Cannibals during Wave 10 Objective. I couldn't hit him but it was so dense no shot went wasted...

Extraction Wave, managed to run the magazine dry.. 36 shots out and mostly hit. Full Extraction on this one.
