One thing that bothered me in this great game (excepted the pathetic ending that is), is the relation between shepard and the  "Useless Child".

The Useless Child,is as everyone know, the child you encounter on earth, that ultimately dies by a reaper laser, and then haunt Shepard's dream. The catalyst also take his form (for whatever reason ...) 

Seriously. From Mass Effect 1 onwards, I played as a ruthless shepard that do not know such thing as pity, talk harshly to everyone, and has a very pragmatic approach to situations (in a nutshell bottom red choice all the way or almost), he punches journalists in the face, kill people in cold blood, hell he would exterminate entries SPECIES (Quarian and Krogan) to gain military advantage, and not have a second thought about it.

So why in the world is bioware, forces down on us those shenanigans about the Useless Child ? and especially the bad dreams that have no purpose whatsoever, except trying to be tear-jerking moments (and even fail at it).
