I went in thinking how could it possibly be that bad, everyone must be exaggerating and blowing it out of proportion. Then my journey began to come to a close.
My Shepard crawled towards the activation console, ready to become the hero of legend. What happened next defied belief, everything i had been fighting for began to count for nothing. "Ascending" up some random elevator, meeting some random "Star Child", being given the illusion of a (nonsensicle) choice, undoing the ME universe as we know it.
Nothing could have prepared me for that, Bioware what went wrong?
Who here thought the endings couldn't be that bad before you beat the game?

I couldn't believe it when the ending credits started to roll. I was completely speechless. It didn't feel like an ending to me and I kept waiting for the "to be continued" line. O_o

I was in the same boat. I thought people were upset because it didn't have a happy enough ending.
Boy was I wrong. That lazer just screwed everything up.

After they delayed it to ensure "The highest quality," I was expecting it to be amazing.
I was clearly expecting too much.

Yeah, absolutely. I thought, oh, I bet it's just like with DA2 (which I honestly liked) - there probably are some issues, but they can be ignored. Oh boy, was I ever wrong.

I complet stay out of any Place in the Internet where anybody talks about the End, don't want risk any Spoiler.
But I really should have look in here and let me spoiler.

Is was smart and avoided anything Mass Effect 3 related outright as release came closer and closer. I expected nothing short of one of the greatest endings ever. You can problem imagine how utterly f*cking crushed I was because of that...

I purposely avoided all spoilers for this game. I avoided ME3 news articles, podcasts, threads, and forums. I came to the conclusion that the endings were depressingly unsatisfying and flat out bad completely on my own.

I even called someone a whiner that day because he complained massively about the Ending. Then I finished the game. Derp.

I was able to keep myself mostly clean of spoilers going into the game, and finished it around the first wave. So I had to both put up with the ending and the fruitless search for the "real" ending that didn't exist.
"16 endings?....But...I only see three that are all pretty much the same...."

Some ideas behind the endings are interesting, but it doesn't fit a video game trilogy such as Mass Effect IMHO...

I stayed away from all you wonderful ME fans to stay all spoiler free, and when I finished my game I was heartbroken...I still am, its so strange...have never felt down about a game being bad before

I read some spoilers like "it's rubbish, they end up on some tropical planet" on YouTube, then went underground for 3 days, to avoid more spoilers.
Then I played the game. And saw the light . . . (unfortunately) (pun intended)

That was how I felt. I figured no matter the ending someone was going to complain so I didn't let it phase me.
Oh how I was wrong. So very, very wrong.
Now I am proudly holding the line with everyone else who finished the game.

I had worked hard to avoid spoilers, but there was sufficient foreshadowing in the game itself (like that dream where he was on fire) that I was expecting Shepard would die at the end. What I wasn't expecting was for him to be forced to die for a stupid reason and be forced to choose one of three different ways of screwing up the galaxy.

I finished the game extremely fast. I had no idea the endings were getting heat at the time.
Then I came to these forums and it felt like a warm hug. I wasn't all alone in my hatred for those abominations.

I did. I spoiled it myself for a bit, but hell, I thought there must be something else about it, some explaination, SOMETHING... It couldn't be that bad, that's just impossible. It's Mass Effect damn it, and the game is awesome, so there probably was a misunderstandment...
Guess what...

I was so convinced that it was just people whining that even after the ending occurred I kept telling myself "It wasn't THAT bad."
It took around a 10 minutes for it to hit me about how bad the ending was.

I knew it was bad, yet refrained from watching it on Youtube, as I hadn't played the game much. I eventually caved and watched the final scene...
I have pretended it didn't exist since.

I did. I refused to read anything about it, thought it can't be that bad. And it wasn't, in the way I expected it to be. It was far worse.
It feels wrong beyond measure.
