One thing that drives me bonkers in the ME series is being denied a conversation option due to having too low a Paragon or Renegade score. But one thing I've noticed is that the EARLIER you do things, the more likely you are to succeed at these options. It's as if there's some sort of weird scaling with level where the higher your level, the more Paragon or Renegade points you need to succeed at these options.
A good example is Zaaed's loyalty mission if you refuse to kill the workers. Every time I've done this as one of the first missions, I've been able to succeed in convincing him to be loyal as he's pinned under the beam. But every time I've left it until much later, I've failed despite having almost full Paragon at the time.
So this brings me to the Shadow Broker mission. I know from experience that the final battle with Tela Vasir has both a Paragon and Renegade conversation option and yet despite having played through the DLC about four or five times, I've NEVER had enough of either to enable those options.
I'm now at a point in the game where I have to decide whether or not to go and do a bunch of loyalty missions OR do Lair of the Shadow Broker first. My inclination is to do SB first based on my above observation that earlier generally equals having these options be open, but then I do so at the risk of losing options in the loyalty missions.
So I'm hoping someone can give me some guidance in either direction. SB first or loyalty missions first?
What Paragon/Renegade amount is needed for Shadow Broker mission?
