Let's say if the ending was amazing, what would have your main complaint been?

Terrible animations!

I hate the new femshep skipping walk. I'd rather have the gorilla run back!

Yeah but that could be part of a fixed ending, theoretically.

The incredibly weird sidequest structure from DA2. Shepard overhears some random guy talking about how he needs some ship parts and then shows up a day later to give the stranger the parts he needs and says "I overheard you talking on the phone yesterday, I went out and got this for you..."

It's really, really weird.

The journal.

Largely because the journal worked in ME2.

This, In ME2 it works well, in ME3, I have no idea what just happened.

Well, lack of Harbinger I guess, but in an amazing ending, he would have played some role. Could've done with some more N7 missions - a couple of Mako driving missions would have been great. Tali's face reveal was a little lazy, but it didn't really bother me. The Earth opening was a bit weak and some dialogue was hilariously bad on a few occasions (but overall excellent). The scanning 'mini-game' was annoying and pointless.

Just small things really.

Uh...honestly, everything up to the magical star lift was pretty much fine as far as I was concerned.

Automantic Dialogue, how they revealed Tali's face and no female Aliens. Dont say oh but we "saw" female Salarians and Krogan. The Krogan had a mask covering 90% of her head and face & the Salarian was just a male model given a grumpy old women voice. Other than that amazing game.

Either Tali's face, or the Journal.

The journal system, and a couple of broken quests such as Aria's Eclipse.

I wouldn't complain about not seeing Reaper Hanar/Drell/Volus, but that would have been fun to see! Or terrifying. I'm not sure.

Weak final mission. The suicide mission in Mass Effect 2 was much better. It a great job of capturing the desperation and including the work you did in preparation.

The beginning was somewhat poorly paced and the rachni queen story arch felt kinda lame. Aside from that, I felt that ME3 was the best piece of video game story telling I have ever seen. I would have rated it as the best game in my library if not for those last gosh darn 5 minutes.

And pretty much only that.

The stock photo used for Tali's face.

While it's a big let down, if that's the only major complaint I can think of (aside from awkward graphical bugs on various scales) then I'd say that's pretty good. Though there was that one time during a cut scene where Shepard's face became a horrible black blob due to texture corruption, but she got better. Oh, and the invisible rock, as mentioned, ruined the moment.

But unfortunately this is a dream sequence. The terrible ending(s) exists and now I need to eat a bunch of ice cream to take my mind off it.

Depends on the ending, of course. But negating that, more dialogue with your LI would be nice (even though we Kaidan fans are actually pretty well off compared to everyone else except Liara) and the journal is kind of annoying.
And maybe take out Galactic Readiness altogether? I like MP, but I don't like being forced to play MP to get the best ending. I scanned every planet, got ever asset, did every Citadel fetch quest, side quest, and N7 mission, yet only ended up with 7,000 assets in the end (3,400 EMS with GR multiplier).

Area's where kind of small and there wasnt much combat in the game, I love story, but I want combat as well. There are lots of minor issues with the game, none of these issues however would keep the game from being outstanding, the ending is the only thing that actually feels like it ruins the game.

Yeah, making the quests only open if you happen to overhear casual conversation was a boneheaded move.

My main complaint was the lack of (and crappy) squadmembers.

If Garrus & Tali died in your ME2 file, and if you turn down VS, you are left with Edi, James & Liara.

I didn't care for James, I don't like Tali (I know I'm in the .00001% minority here) & Ashely/Liara are not skilled IMO. I really liked ME2's robust selection, and felt via loyalty missions they were just as if not more fleshed out there. I used Garrus/Edi the whole time pretty much.

The Journal was pretty bad this time. It was annoying not knowing whether you'd completed a certain part of a mission.

Talis face

Pointless journal

Odd head bugs

Most the ME2 squad are pointless now.

No smack talk with Harbinger

No female Turians. I kind of find it odd that Tali and Garrus get together if they are not romanced. Ive never seen or heard anything in game to make me think they actually like one another and i wanted Garrus to be getting hounded by his Turian who had reach.
It seems to me like Tali/Garrus is just done for the hell of it?

Oh, I can think of at least a few things:

- Too many "one-click" missions. I'd have wanted us to see some of those places in action. Like, for example, Dekuuna! I'd have liked if that was more than a simple"one-click" mission. I wanted to see the Elcors in action, darn it!

- Only way to raise Galaxic Readiness is MP.

- Too little dialogue, too often.

- The dreams - I could've done without those.

- Poorly done Journal.

- No ME2 squadmate became a squadmate in ME3.

- Only ME1 LI's appearing in the flashback.

- We don't get any heavy wepons. I don't know about you, but me, I LIKED carrying a heavy weapon with me...

- Lack of seeing most of our War Assets in action.

- Harbringer being sidelined despite being portrayed as a major antagonist in ME2.

This. The ending is hardly the only issue here. Im still stunned about the lack of ME2 squadmates
