Let's say if the ending was amazing, what would have your main complaint been?

How amazing? 'Makes up for everything else'-amazing? Then I wouldn't have complaints.

My main complaint is that you don't get real sidequests through exploration. Scanning only gives you war assets and fetch quests. I want to be able to land on scanned planets to collect the war assets myself.

lack of actual reaper encounters. For a Reaper focuses game you only get to go heads on with 1 reaper.

I count three. Tuchanka, Rannoch and then finally the Harbinger encounter.

Mission Journal, and maybe the photo of Tali.

Lack of a proper Journal, no conversation with Harbinger, using stock images for Tali's face and the post-credits scene.

Not seeing Quarian faces.

That something so minor would have been my biggest complaint... go figure.

In a way. What annoys me here is that my character has seen Tali's face... twice! I thought I was my character... guess not.

Uh, nothing. The end result would have been so amazing that I would have forgiven pretty much anything. I suppose that BioWare's failure to use the Power of Awesome to pluck Mass Effect 4 from the future could be a complaint....

I don't like Tali (I know I'm in the .00001% minority here)

I've never liked Tali that much, and can't understand why others do.  Whatevs.

Short single-player campaign. It really did feel shorter than ME2 for some reason.

Not enough squad mates. All hell is breaking loose and no one is willing to join Shepard?

If the ending was amazing, I'd have no complaints. Was an otherwise almost-flawless game (nitpicking aside).

For the record i liked the endings but that is neither here nor there XD

Personal things that i had problems with of course the journal was confusing it made it more difficult to keep track of quests with no updates and also there should have been notices of which missions need to be completed on a time limit. I had several missions black out without completing them because i passed a certain point in the game.

Other complaint would be making MP give perks in single player that make it much easier to get happier endings. I have nothing against the MP but i'd rather it just be an optional extra that you aren't sort of forced to play to change things in the SP.

Same bad animations.
Chobot's wooden VA.
Invisible small rock.
Tali's cheap photoshop face.
Too much character added to Shepard that very limited role playing.

-Tali's face
-Lack of Harbinger (you're just fighting random Reaper mobs all the time)
-Lack of Illusive Man (you're just fighting random Cerberus all the time)
-Journal system.
-Saving the Rachni Queen in ME1 doesn't really seem to do anything.
-Rewriting the Geth instead of killing them doesn't seem to do anything. Either way they take the Reaper Code.
-Most of the actual side-quests are boring and repetitive. Kill 5 waves of 30 enemies is zzzzz.
-Lack of main characters.
-Too few Renegade/Paragon choices.

Thane Romance, mainly. Lack of recognition for having done it, idgaf that he died, but his Romance was hardly even acknowledged in ME3. I'd have preferred that every time you visit the VS, you could visit Thane with something new to talk about. Or at least walking around the Citadel.  Even the animations for his romance were poorly done. <_<

Also all the stupid quests you get just from overhearing people. It's OK sometimes, but it really took the personality out of it. At least you could overhear it then confront them about it, like Kargesh on the Citadel or something (Presidium fish). The lack of organization and updating in the Journal as well bothered me.

None that I couldnt overlook. Honestly, 98% of the game was gold its just the ending covered all that gold with a thick layer of raw sewage making me not want to touch it.

The incredibly weird sidequest structure from DA2. Shepard overhears some random guy talking about how he needs some ship parts and then shows up a day later to give the stranger the parts he needs and says "I overheard you talking on the phone yesterday, I went out and got this for you..."

It's really, really weird.

You should see angry joe parodying that part, like obviously eavesdropping. It's so funny everyone should watch it.

Shep dying was fine by me but leaves me with so many questions. WTF was Ashley in the Normandy at the end in that jungle planet yet she was with me for the push to the port to the Citadel was one. The Normandy running into a mass relay with the crew. Joker would not even dare to leave Shep and the entire race like that, not after how Shep saved his life in the orignal Normandy.

I still don't like the war asset implementation. The rachni appearance was also not as profound as I wanted. I was expecting the rachni to be a decision that would later come back to haunt me, but instead somehow they became engineers. Ooookay....

The terrible journal. How do you tell if you've obtained the item for a quest or not? Or what system the planet in question is in?

Actually you go head to head with at least four Reapers...

One on Tuschanka, one on Rannoch (Who speaks to you. I call him "Blinky") then two on Earth, the "AA-Gun" is the size of one of those Destroyer Reapers, and then finally the one near the beam.

---------------

If I was going to critcise it based on it having an awesome ending? I'd find myself nitpicking a little bit but it'd be buried too much under how awesome things were.

All throughout ME1 and ME2 we had a reaper mocking our progress the whole way, addressing us directly and irking the hell out of us with their arrogance. Soverign did this, then when we blew him into itty bitty pieces, we got Harbinger (while not revealed to be an actual Reaper until the very end of ME2, it was still pretty awesome).

In ME3 a "Face" to the threat was never revealed. There was no real driving mocking force to push why you needed to go for it. Harbinger, a driving force for two games and bits of DLC only arrived at the end to hurl lasers in rapid fire at you and not to speak to you. Bit of a shame but oh well. No real biggy when compared to the rest of the game.

Planet scanning.  I'd rather just cut that stuff and have a shorter game.
Journal not updating.  Granted, the map was so detailed you didn't need the journal, but it was still a step back.
ME1 Face Import Not Working.  This was an unfortunate miss on Bioware's part.
