Journal
MP for endings

There are other problems like to many disc swaps and characters like jack being an afterthought, but its really only the first two that reallllllly pissed me off.

- The vast amount of auto-dialogue.
- Several choices (such as the rachni, the collector base, etc.) having minimal impact.
- The journal not updating as you advance through missions.
- Multiplayer impacting your EMS score.
- ME2 squad (Mordin, Legion, Garrus, Tali, excluded of course) being dumped in the background.
- The child having such a large impact on Shepard, regardless of Shepard's background or character.

nothing I never would have logged on to the forums

but now that i'm here I can think of a few, tali's face, the rachni thing, and not having a cool ME2 style last mission where the whole squad plays a role.

5. Lack of ME2 Characters - i can understand the cameo's but for god sake if they are with us, just let them go with us to final battle!
6. Final Battle - i kind of expected the battle like in the cinematic trailer - Shepard and squadmates from all 3 games against a horde of enemies, and then the Citadel Beam. Oh well...

These. I was so hoping for that epic last stand/charge to victory or death with all of your most trusted allies/brothers/sisters.

If the ending was as amazing as the rest of the game I would be replaying the hell out of the game and enjoying every second. Actually, I would be replaying the whole trilogy.

The only thing I can really think of is the journal. It kind of took a step a backwards. I enjoyed searching for minerals in ME2, but it makes sense that there isn't really any "time" to do that in ME3 so I'm okay with that.

All in all, it would have been a 10 out of 10 for me if it wasn't for the endings. They're so bad I still haven't touched ME3 since I beat them on the 8th :P

The terrible journal. How do you tell if you've obtained the item for a quest or not? Or what system the planet in question is in?

This. I wish the journal was clearer about *where* it is I need to go.

Also, frequently Shepard says things without input where, in the past ME games, I would have been able to choose his/her dialogue.

Unfinished Journal, and way too much auto dialog. Also, no interesting new sqad members.

The overall bleakness of the campaign.

It's pretty ugly, maybe too much so for my tastes.

Cooperative multiplayer only. This has got to be the only shooter ever with only cooperative multiplayer. I would have either included a deathmatch mode, or scrapped the whole thing to devote more resources to the single player campaign. I've played Mass Effect for 5 years. I was hoping when I heard MP was going to be in the game that I'd finally test those skills against a human. Then all we get is "sorry, we thought it wouldn't make sense," and a requirement for MP to actually get the "right" ending. Some of this is at least fixable with a patch.

- The much more linear quests. (you will always do them in the same order, aways start with the turians, then the krogans and so on...)
- Less quests on planets (when you scan and you found a signal like in ME2, here it was just fetch and delivery)
- Too much auto-dialogue (even in RPG mode)
- Journal not updating.
- Less companions
- Graphics on PC
- Controls on PC
- Lack of server brownser on PC
- Multiplayer impacting the single
- The constant check of Origin to see if your DLC is legal (every single time you enter the main menu...)

So if the endings was amazing, i would give a nice 8.5.

But no good endings, and this much of problems, a 6.5 is enough.

IF the ending was according to my wishes, the only thing I would complain would be ... that Tali isn't F/F romance in ME1/2/3 and Garrus isnt romance in ME1 ... and that its all over ... =)

Autodialogue, by far, followed by the decreased emphasis on the ME2 romances.

A bit too much auto-dialogue and the codex/journal wasn't as good as it could have been. Tali's hand could have been photoshopped a bit better.

Other than that I enjoyed it. A shame the endings had to ruin it completely.

Journal, Tali's face (and other stock images poorly altered), lack of dialogue options, lack of crew members, lack of more meaningful conversations and development of crew members. To me, it feels like ME2 did a lot of that better. Still, mostly a good game if it didn't get so screwed up by the end.

Not my main complaint, but one that's been bugging me is that Kal'Reegar dies in an email... : (

Agree with all above.

* Wish the Journal had been better, really annoying to not know for sure if I'd picked something up already.
* Rachni!  Same thing happens if you kill them or let them live in ME1!
* I am a girl and play as FemShep so I can't see Tali's face!  I want to have a conversation with her on Rannoch with her mask off.
* Finally, I want soooooo bad to romance James.

Tali's face. It's basically the second thing where BioWare spits in our faces. With endings and Tali's face fixed I'd have no complaints whatsoever with ME3.

My complaint about the MP is that it's only a "hoarde mode" kind of thing. I think it would have been infintely better if they had(or add) actual missions with your team, like a raid to get info or materials or take out a HVT. something like that where there is an actual objective other than just survive and sit in the random point every 4 waves in the same area.

I don't think an adverstarial mode would work too well, but I am always open to being pleasantly surprised.

It's a three-way tie between a lack of Reapers actually being involved in the plot, the entire arc of the child (so forced and convoluted), or the lack of seeing the rachni as a species and their involvement with the war effort should you choose to save the queen. I wasn't a huge fan of the lack of dialogue options as compared to the other games, but it didn't bother me nearly as much as those other three (which pale in comparison to the ending, lulz...).
