Let's say if the ending was amazing, what would have your main complaint been?

Not as many squad dialogues and conversations as I wanted. With a roster of 12 (or was it 11?) squadmates in Mass Effect 2 they sure had more dialogue than the majority of Mass Effect 3 squadmembers. Did Ashley have ANNNNYYY actual "DIALOGUE" after recruiting her other than the romance scene and when she's drunk? Same with Tali. They both had more dialogue in the first game than in the third.

Listening to Tali's drunken ramblings about Miranda as if she died when she in fact lived. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I got to hear the straw bit, but I was very confused to as what Tali was so sad about.

Seeing even a tenth of the collected war assets in action would have been sweet.

Nothing else really pressing. Even these things I could have lived without. Ugh, such a shame.

Probably the Tali face lazyness. The waste of the rachni choice and all the planet scanning "quests".

Did you not keep clicking on her to hear the whole conversation? She's jelous of Miranda because she stood up to her father when she knew he was in the wrong with his research unlike Tali who went along with hers and even lied to protect him even though he was clearly in the wrong.

I've seen this confusion a few times thinking it's a bug i think people just dont realise you need to keep clicking on her until the conversation ends.

Add to this, the lack of an introduction.  ME2 had such a fantastic intro, I have repeatedly sold the game to friends based solely on the strength of that movie.  A buddy from work said to me just this week after I urged him to watch it, that he watched the movie, then realized several hours later that he was still playing the game.  ME3 felt like I missed the first 5 minutes of the game.

That characters kept saying I ever trusted Cerberus when I picked everything I could to go against them in ME2. Jack hitting me over it really made me mad. "How many times did I tell you not to trust Cerberus?!" "Uh, about as many times as I told you I didn't?"

The journal. Fuel running out so damn quickly.

And for the sucker for romance part. Garrus doesn't say I love you back :( Maybe it's just a Turian thing.

It'd be nice if they had something of a fan contest for Tali's face. Have the fans send in art and let the fans pick what they want in game. Be a gift to the fans by the fans.

Wouldn't have had a main complaint. Certainly wouldn't have started posting on the forums. Would have enjoyed it, then popped me1 into the computer and started playing again.

lack of actual reapers, I would have liked to see a scene like with the collector ship in ME2 appearing out of no where and attacking the Normandy. for a reaper oriented game where in ME2 it shows the huge fleets of reapers, it really doesn't have many shepard VS reaper moments

My biggest complaints are (other then ending)
Cut scenes when i felt like I should have had the option pick a dialog option.
The space bar does almost everything
Low resolution textures (normal maps are only 256x256)
and Tali's face

that!

and real consequences to things done in ME1 and ME2. Not simply getting random NPC to fit someone else's shoes.

the fact that choosing to kill or save the rachni queen in ME1 only changes 1 line of auto dialogue in the whole game, if you chose to kill the queen then there shouldn't be any ravagers at all

How useless Atlas's are, by the time you get to hijack one, the combat is pretty much over anyways.

Shepard being overcome by the fall of Thessia. Really? After seeing Earth fall and hearing about how bad things are, Shepard gets that caught up in the fall of world he couldn't have done anything to save? I wasn't feeling it.

They are so torn up about it because shepard believed that they had an opportunity to stop it, or at least make their sacrifice mean something to the war as a whole. Kai Leng escaping with the data means that they failed and the soldiers helping in the fight directly that died had placed hope and faith in his abilities and they let them down. Not to mention in this cycle the Asari are the most advanced civilisation, if they fell so easily Shepard can't be so sure that all of them don't face the same fate if he can't recover the data.

With Earth he did all he could over the years to try and make the leadership listen, the fall of Earth wasn't his fault and those death's aren't on his hands.
