So wait...because the game has what a wide majority agrees as an ending that is very poor, The outcry makes the fans whiney and as a result, an embarrassment? If an ending is that offensively bad, there is going to be a large outcry in the media. The Godfather: Part III became the butt of many bad ending/bad sequel jokes for a decade after its release and I don't see people renouncing the first two off of their favorites list of account of "whiney fans." And who's to say the ending of ME3 doesn't deserve the thrashing its getting?

I found the ending rushed and sloppy, but I still enjoyed the series. I don't petition the ending or any of that nonsense, but I can understand how people could be compelled to do so after investing hundreds of hours into the single franchise and being "rewarded" with such an anti-climax.

Not really. I first bought ME2 because I was bored and nothing else was out that I wanted at the time. I loved it so much that I went out and bought ME1 and played through that. I actually loved ME1 even more than 2.
ME3 is a great game and the perfect ending to the trilogy. Did I want a bit more of an ending... sure, but my opinion of the game is not diminished because a bunch of immature people start ranting about not getting their way.

Be a Mass Effect fan if you enjoyed the games and be proud of it. It was a great series and one that I will be replaying over again many times in the years ahead. Stop letting other people make your opinions for you. Its actually okay to like something that everyone else doesn't. Trust me, the very vocal minority that are outraged at the game doesn't reflect the number of people that like the game.

Sorry but your wrong. at last check over 89% of those polled hated the ME3 ending. In this case its you that is the minority. You cerainly have your right to your opinion and we can even forgive your demisive arogance that you think your the majority, but you might actually like to check the polls and do some research before you drink Casey's koolaid

Yup. A friend asked me what I had done the past week and I responded "played the new Mass Effect" and he responded "Oh, the game with all those whiny fans?".

Exactly. Only reason I am ashamed to be Mass Effect fan right now is this fanbase. Bunch of whiny children who take give more importance to last 5 minutes than the rest of the series. Congratulations to the exceptions.

Funny. You call us whiny and children, and yet we aren't the ones resorting to petty insults.

Instead let me paint a picture for you.

You just met this amazingly hot, beautiful, smart woman (10/10) and she agrees to go on a date with you. So you both go on a really nice dinner date and everything is GREAT, in fact beyond GREAT... it's like you just met your soulmate! And after a fantastic night of drinking, laughing and having fun you take her home. You kiss, you laugh, you promise to see her again! But as she is getting out of the car she bends over and sprays you and your car with a large dose of explosive diarrhea, chunks are everywhere... it's bad.

So what do you remember the most? The date or the explosive diarrhea?

And here i was expeting her to turn out to be an ardat yakshi...

I was expecting her to be a thief or a murderer, I guess that digestive problems are worse.

oh, and i bought the DLC. and will probably buy the subsequent DLC's. i didnt buy into any of the "promises" because i wasnt following ME3 development. maybe this is why so many of you are butthurt - you believed their promises and raised your expectations too high. i just bought the game, and thought it was well worth the money.

Did you seriously just put people down because they believed that what the game developers promised would be in the game, would actually be in the game?

EA and BioWare were definitely more motivated about making money off ME3, and they definitely went for quantity over quality. I wonder how much IGN paid them to put Jessica Chocobo in the game?

All that aside, all 3 are great. ME3 is probably the weakest one, but that's still not saying much. It's like the Star Wars trilogy... The first 2 are awesome, the 3rd one is still great even though it's not all it could've been.

Yes to the gimmicky group hug nature of the third episodes, no to the endings. This was more like the third prequel than Return of the Jedi.

I'm talking about the ORIGINAL trilogy, not the prequels. That's not Star Wars. That's... Crap.

But I do kinda see your point.

To properly make the analogy, ME trilogy feels like A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Revenge of the Sith.

In terms of the sudden change of quality, at least. I know that wouldn't make much sense from a movie point of view. At least, not without a lot of badly writen DLC in between Empire and Revenge. =P
