An yes they were together in Surkesh with Wrex too.
And on the Shadow Broker ship.
And during the Battle of the Citadel.

It's not very personel choice either, I seriosly think Bioware invested most on their chracters.

I did Vega and EDI. EDI reason was the same as you. Then considering that my two synth friends (EDI and Legion) were already gone, red choice was a lot easier on the plot. EDI does not walk out of the Normandy. Vega did though so partial fix to the plothole.

As for the other geth, Shep figures wiping them out means the Quarians can make them again but learned from the previous mistake to not repeat history. (No matter what plothole Catalyst said). Plus Tali mentions Geth uploading into Quarian suits and them being really software.

And when you take EDI on the one forced EDI mission, Shep and Joker's exchange made it seem EDI was still in the Normandy ship and she just had a body too. Not just body only. (Yes, we saw that before in the TV show Andromeda but it's the same thing)

EDI and Liara. I was a soldier, so I complemented my abilities with tech and biotic based powers. That combination usually left me with a considerable advantage over the enemy. Liara was also my LI. Once I earned energy drain for myself as a bonus, I pretty much felt unstoppable. Until I had to face the unending waves of enemies that come when you are supposed to fire the missiles at the Destroyer. That proved to be a battle I would not have lasted had I not just run for the missile batteries.

Garrus definitely and then I had to pick between Tali and Liara but in the end I picked Liara because her abilities. Because they've been there all the way from ME1

Liara and Javik. I ran them the entire game. Liara was a favorite the entire series and like some mentioned, Javik deserves to be killing Reapers.

Liara, Tali, Garrus will always be in my team. They have been with me the longest. Oh, and they are all that is left of those who went to the Collector base with me.

I just cannot connect with James & Javik. They are like... strangers to me. As for the VS... well they would be more important to me if they had went to hell (collector base) with me instead of doing what they do worst - "thinking".

My first playthrough I took Javik and James.

James because he wanted to be there to retake Earth and Javik because he wanted to be there for the revenge. Solely RP reasons, as I didn't use those two much at all the whole game in other missions.

Garrus and Liara. They were my go to in ME1 and I was so glad to have them back. My LI and my bro, no one else I'd rather go into battle with.

I used Garrus and Liara. Im a vanguard so using biotic charge on someone who is warped or hit by singularity is failiy effective. Garrus has overload if I need it also he is fairly effective with the sniper rifle.

I believe if Bioware has a flag on most used Squadmate it'll be Garrus.

I took Garrus and LIara, I told Ashley I didn't want her on my ship after her being a straight up **** from Mass Effect 2, plus she is kind of racist against aliens. She didn't trust me so I couldn't have someone on my crew who didn't trust me!

On my first normal playthrough I took Liara and Javik. But in my NG+ Insanity run I took Garrus and Vega for the missle defend, they make good tanks if you spec them right.

Played with an Adept and I chose Garrus and Vega. Garrus because of the amazing sniper support and Overload. Vega can slaughter reaper forces, they just keep coming to his Revenant... Also, he can take a Brute head-on and don't die(1200 health+1400 shield if I'm not wrong).

Garrus and Kaidan....figured they started together (ME1) they end it together....though after that run I thought death was inevitable for whomever you took, so took Liara and Javik in the next game (expendable to me)...but now that I know they can survive, am back with Garrus and Kaidan...would take James, but I like the idea of sticking with those who were there at the beginning with Shep, just seems right.

Garrus and Liara, because they were the only ones in my crew at the time who had been there from the start. I was playing on normal difficulty as a vanguard imported character, so I didn't have to worry too much about strategy, otherwise I wouldn't have taken Garrus, as I've always found that his sniper style and my vanguard don't mix all that well strategically.

Liara was by far the best support character for my vanguard, too. charge+nova, then just have her pick off anyone left standing and use the shotgun to blow away anyone she can't handle. Next!
