Hey guys,
Is it possible to import a PC's current morph (created with standard in-game chargen) into the toolset as a mrh, mor or mop file?
The idea behind this is simple. I find it much easier to create the basics for a face in chargen, and then add subtleties with the toolset.
Anyone has a hint?
Cheers,
Antonius Maximus.

Unhappily, I asked the same question and got a "no" as an answer. Don't know if anyone has found a workaround so far or built an import utility.
I would also be very interested in such a tool.

This is possible. Let's call the characters face that you want imported "Savegame 1", and the character whose face we're changing we'll call "Savegame 2".
Step 1: Open Savegame 1 (preferably the very first save point that way the tool set doesn't 'run out of memory'). The savegame file you're looking for has a .das extension (Dragon Age Save file type) and can be found in:
"C:\\Documents and Settings\\USERNAME\\My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Characters\\CHARACTERNAME\\Saves\\Slot_#" I'd say open the earliest save point to avoid the Out of Memory error.
Step 2: There should be an "excel" style spreadsheet. Example shown here -

Step 3: Go to SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR, click on SAVEGAME_PLAYERCHAR_CHAR, under that section should be a binary, I can't remember exactly which, but it's something like "PLAYERCHAR_APPEARANCE" or something, and it should be a ton of pairs of letters/numbers. Copy and paste that into a notepad file or something.
Step 4: Open up Savegame 2. Go to the same location where the 'APPEARANCE' binary code is. Paste the binary code overwriting the old binary code in Savegame 2 with the code from Savegame 1. Save, exit, and load Savegame 2 in DA:O.
Basically, any and all adjustments you make to the headmorph of the player character is saved in the .das file in a binary code. This binary code can be copy/pasted into other savegame files to replace the player characters head. I would provide pictures and such but I honestly don't want to touch the toolset or even have it installed at the moment until it's been fixed.
Hope things are good!

Thanks for this. It partially answers my question but unfortunately does not provide me with a solution.
To put it bluntly : I want to edit a savegame face with the toolset.
Can I import that binary file contained within the .das into the toolset as an .mrh file that I can manipulate at will?
Thanks for your help so far! :-)

I tried the binary method and all it ended up doing was crashing my game. D:

The facial slider data has to be stored somewhere in the savegame file, but I doubt it will ever be possible to export it into a useable morph for the toolset. :-/

Erhm.. dumb question, I think.
As far as I understood, you copied and pasted the binaries without the toolset, didn't you?
(I'd also like to transfer Face 1 to Charakter 2, but I do have a veeeeeeeeery slow internet connection, which would be smashed by some 507MB "peanuts" ^^)

I would also like to know how to do this PC modification, preferably with out making an entirely new morph, I like my elves face (my elven warrior and mage need large elf ears), I would also like to know how,if possible, how to make a charegen default replacement form a morph made in the tool.
