I don't think Black Widow X already is physically possible without cheats. I've farmed that much that I have unlocked every single upgrade of the Gold weapons to X, and my highest N7 rank weapon is 3, which is the Talon, followed by a rank 2 Paladin and Scorpion.

Yeah I had someone on my team about an hour ago with the BW X and fairly low N7, made me suspicious.

I've unlocked 50 spectre packs (I have a spreadsheet lolz) and I've received 4 black cards, all different weapons, my first black card was at purchase 25ish. Even if all of your gold weapons are at rank X, the N7 cards are most likely still rare due to repeating character cards, so getting a black widow X would take an enormous amount of purchases.

Noteworthy, usually these people can't play for ****. Basically that is understandeable. You tend to cheat when you're bad playing fair with other players and always end up having the shortest blue line.

Also, even if they bought spectre packs with real money, they'd be pulling a lot of class cards which would level them up to some degree. If someone did pull ten black widows out of 31 spectre packs they need to go buy a lottery card immediately.

Maybe that's how they got all the money.

Sure there are.  A Spectre pack is only $2, and vet $1 in real money if translated.  A gold run takes 30m on average and gives just one specter and half of a vet pack worth of credits.  That's $5/hr converted (and implies chainrunning, good teams, and never failing; and even less than $5/hr if you factor in equipment/one-use item expenses per game).  Minimum wage in California, where I live, is $8/hr.

Honestly if I had an average salaried job (which if cut down to hourly is something like $20/hr),  it would be terribly easy to warrant throwing money at BW for this.  Well, okay, after being kicked in the teeth with the reset bug I don't know anymore, but beforehand, yeah.

Also, low N7 rating means nothing.  Maybe they just play the crap out of Salarian Infiltrator and nothing else, thus being rank 20 forever + whatever levels they got from cards.

Lastly, gold is pretty easy if you're playing vs. cerb/geth, have a few friends who don't suck, and aren't stingy on using equipment.

sure time = money, but this is supposed to be about having fun. If you can buy all the weapons leveled up, what's the point of playing anymore?

If people are cheating, it probably won't last too long considering there's no pvp. Cheating in a game like this is a fast track to boredom.

I spent like 200$ on Spectre packs and did not see Black Widow once... As a matter of fact, I have all N7 weapons with various levels, but not Black Widow. Black Widow X? That's just impossible, unless a guy dumps like 2k dollars on packs AND has insane luck.

I got Falcon X and Carnifex X, though, not N7, but they are amazing. Falcon X + Asari/Drell Vanguard = Carnage.

If you see a N7 weapon at X, just report them. Assuming Bioware keeps a detailed log, which they should, they'd be able to figure out if it's legit in 10 minutes.

If they are N7 120 then maybe they just never promote their characters. If they have anything lower then maybe they just play one or two classes all the time.

Even if they have all classes levelled to 20 with class training cards, as long as they do not create a character with those classes then those levels won't count towards their N7 level.

e.g. Someone only plays Infiltrator and never promotes his character. He got the infiltrator to level 20 and keeps playing it. Eventually he got enough credits to get Black Widow X and all classes to 20. But as long as he sticks to the infiltrator and do not touch other classes, his N7 level will still be 20.

The amount of time it would take to unlock a lvl X N7 weapon from buying Spectre packs, even with unlimited credits, would be astounding. I would hazard a guess that it would take a few days straight of opening packs to pull this off.

I'll lean on the side of modified game files for this one.

That's not quite how it works.

Every character card you receive via packs gives experience.  Each rare card gives 100,000 exp, while silver ones if I remember correctly give 50,000 exp.

Statistically speaking, it is extremely unlikely for someone to buy enough packs to get a N7 weapon to X and not be at least N7 level 80+ even if they start at level 1 for all classes.

Ha, you guys are funny. People ask me all the time how I have so many V-X Weapons and I say... All I play is gold on the same Map w/ friends and all we do is win. I have all but 4 Weapons, the Raptor, the Wraith, the Talon, and the Paladin.

So trust me, it's not hard to keep getting the same Weapon back to back. I got the Tempest X after getting VI, VII, VIII, VIIII in that order. Just save your credits and you'll be surprised what you keep getting.

If people didn't suck so much I would play with randoms. My N7 rating is 217 and only promoted 4 classes. I'm done promoting. I don't care about leaderboard rankings...

That's not quite how it works.

You get the exp from the cards saved to that class, but I don't think you get the levels until you actually 'create' one of those characters. But still pretty unlikely regardless.

  Tempest is not N7.  You dont have any N7X weapons, and you dont understand this thread

I'm N7 rank 200 now and I have 0 n-7 weapons. Upside, I only have 3 more characters to unlock.

But my highest weapon upgrade is still only a Shuriken VII, so maybe my luck is horrible. My mods seem to be coming along really quick though.

I'd guess a Black Widow X is hax somehow, but I dont know how. I haven't seen any Black widows past level 3 on xbox...

And you don't understand my point. I have the Black Widow II, Widow V, the Sabber II, and the Scorpion II... N7 enough for you? What do you have? And the Tempest, I was making a point. It's not hard to get Weapons back to back. I got the Widow back to back as well... so...
