We hold grievances with the current ending and EA/BioWare because:
  • The game's ending fails to meet what we were promised as consumers.
  • The game's ending fails to meet our expectations as fans.
  • The response from BioWare needs to change.
  • We have jobs, families, responsibilities. We dedicate our time to this cause because we genuinely care about Mass Effect and its story.
  • We want to see a product that we, as human beings, as consumers, as fans, and as players can be proud of.
  • We wish to see a conclusion to the game that does the rest of the series justice - in terms of concluding the story and providing the players with both choices and consequences to prior choices.
Retake Mass Effect 3 - Hold the line.

If you agree with this mission statement then please, stop playing the Mass Effect games. Don't buy new EA/BioWare products. We must show them, beyond the use of this mission statement, that we are willing to use what means we have to convey our message. They will know how many people are playing and for how long with Origin and the EA Network.

For those reading this thread from BioWare and EA - just remember how quickly this grassroots effort sprung up, and how powerful it became. Think, please, about how much of a free marketing whirlwind it could be in your favor if we are listened to and our grievances are satisfied.

You would be one of, if not the, best gaming companies ever. And our faith would be fully restored.

Please, share this thread and spread the word. Let our message be clear.
Now complete with poll!http://social.biowar...25/polls/29868/

Something important to remember if you're going to post in this thread:

Please, if you wish to express support only vote in the poll, that's what it's there for :)

Otherwise please discuss things in this thread, thank you!

If anything now is the time to double our efforts. Bioware has not said they will do anything at all. Only that they will listen to feedback. They are just buying time until this blows over. Until they say that they are going to do something about the ending nothing has changed except the statement from Casey tried to paint us as radicals.

I'd like to be more specific and take your second point.  The ending being unique to every player's choices through the game was a feature of the last two games and ME3 didn't deliver.  I think 90% of people can agree on that.  I'd pay good money for Bioware to deliver a quality DLC extending the end based on what you saw.  The best player made idea so far is the indoctrination theory.  How cool would that be?

That's more about the first point. We were promised different endings where our choices would have a strong impact.

That's a failure of truth in their advertising.

I am not sure why this line is in there: 'We want to see a product that we, as human beings, as consumers, as fans, and as players can be proud of.'

In my opinion this adds no value to the message we want to bring across. I would remove it. If you want to leave it in, I would replace the words 'fans' or 'players' with 'customers'.

I placed that line in because otherwise it would seem like we're unwilling to cooperate, that we're only demanding. And to show that we are at once fans, humans, players, and consumers.

Besides, don't you have pride in your Shepard? In the community involvement that played a part in ME2?

Wouldn't you like to have pride over having recovered the ME series from a terrible ending, to have been a part of this? That's why the last line is the way it is.
