That said, I've been trying to come up with a succinct, but detailed 'catchphrase' for us, as it were, that explains more than simply Hold the Line.
Got something with alliteration going, but if anyone wants to expand on it, feel free. Basically, something we can stick in our sigs or after our posts that links back to this thread.
Something like...
"Don't Buy, Don't Play. Politely Persist for Change. We Love Bioware, but Will Not Leave." and then either "Hold the Line" or "RetakeMassEffect" properly linked to this and, perhaps, to the charity.
The last part needs some work, but I do think it is important to state that we care deeply for the company and its creations. Our desire for additional ending content doesn't mean we're completely, or permanently, their adversaries. I, for one, would be THRILLED to see this movement become Bioware/EA's greatest ally in future ventures. They'd be nigh unstoppable if they could earn our trust.

I've been thinking for a while now that we need to get organized; glad someone like atghunter and company could post what I was trying to say but didn't know how.

I did this in response to atghunter and company:
I didn't realize this topic was already created, but I wrote a Mission Statement and Goal document that hopefully clarifies, expands, and formalizes on the points made here. Check it out at:

No offense meant to the creator of this forum topic for promoting the other one, but I feel it is a bit more polished and professional.

I do think it's a little bit skeevy to co-opt one thread that's been sorta successful to promote another one with the same goal. I wouldn't necessarily say it's more polished or more professional, just very similar with a few minor tweaks
Bit longer and more explanatory, too.

The length does make look more professional doesn't it?

When promising a product to a customer, surely you have to deliver on that promise. Where on earth is the despicable behaviour coming from, when a customer is clearly dissatisfied with the product because it quite demonstrably fails to deliver on its promises.
We were promised answers, all we were given were vagaries and more questions.
I for one would love to see an actual ending, with resolution to Shepard's story. Implying such and such happening is very different to actually showing that it happened.

You don't like the ending, you feel betrayed.
Betrayed and reality are two different things.
The reality is, you got an ending, you have a conclusion. Even if the game ended with the beam hitting shepard, that's still an ending. I don't understand where this "no ending" stuff comes from.
It makes more sense to argue that the ending is un-needlesly complicated and needs to be changed, clarified, or expanded upon.
You need only to look at movies to see lots of "failed promises" the trailers make it look awesome, but it then turns out to suck. Do you ever see a producer go "oh its going to suck and not be like the book"
Of course not. They know the entire plot, and every detail. So yeah, they can say it concludes everything. And it does, just not in a way you personally like, but thats doesn't mean it doesn't have an ending.

If this ending would be part of some "ordinary" game or series I would probably not care much and just got over with it. But this is Mass Effect, one of the best gaming series ever created (in my humble opinion at least). And it simply deserves ending that matches the rest of its brilliance. I shall keep holding the line.

It goes beyond simply not buying from BioWare. Don't buy from EA, either. Don't use Origin. Show both of them we know they're watching, and we won't play their games or use their products.

To the statement.
- We wish to see a conclusion to the game that does the rest of the series justice - in terms of concluding the story and providing the players with both choices and consequences to prior choices.
