Apparently CNN has run out of dead celebrities and inconclusive election results to cover.

Sadly the Huffington Post picked it up too and they got the information wrong too claiming that the money gathered for the charity was meant to pay for a new ending.
How do you even make that kind of retarded conclusion? Seriously? Journalism is in a sad sorry state in the States.
It was the UK Huffington Post.

We haven't won yet.
This has gone beyond crappy endings for me. It is an example of people power and a testament to the social/networking ability of the internet age against corporate might.
However, I do not detract at all from... you know... that whole Egypt, Libya and Syria thing.
Ah. First world problems.
Don't belittle the small fights, they are often the starting points. Just see these two:
Rosa Parks "lazy woman refuses to sit in empty seat in the back"
Mohamed Bouazizi "illegal street vendor organizes petrol wasting one man protest"
Sorry for the tongue in cheek for those recently affected, the meaning is not to belittle the people mentioned above but to point out that being ashamed of standing up for what's right should never be subject to the definitions of those incapable of understanding or unaffected by the wrongdoings. They don't own the truth. Regardless of the scale of the matter.

WHITFIELD: OK. And finally, some controversy surrounding the end to Mass Effect 3 from Bioware. What's going on?
SALTZMAN: Right. So Mass Effect 3 is the third and final game in this epic sci-fi role-playing game series that we have talked about on this segment in the past. So people are complaining about the ending. In fact, there's a poll at the Bioware forums online that 89 percent of the people were not happy with the ending.
Some are saying you don't have enough choice. Some are saying it's anti-climactic. I don't want to give away any spoilers here. But suffice it to say that this might be the first time in video game history that the gate developers will release an update, some downloadable content that's optional that could change the ending of the game to please their fans.
There's been some buzz that this is what the developers will do, that you'll have more choice on how the ending of this, you know, very anticipated game plays out at the end, at the climactic conclusion. So kind of is very interesting to follow this. Because Mass Effect 3 fans are not happy with the way the current game ends.
WHITFIELD: My goodness.
SALTZMAN: This will be a first if they actually change the ending. WHITFIELD: Oh, and it appears as those these video games really are appealing to the more adult audience, or at least the bigger kind of kid, young adult audience for sure, Mark.
SALTZMAN: Absolutely. The average age of a gamer in the U.S. is 35 years old.
WHITFIELD: Oh, my gosh.
SALTZMAN: Believe it or not, which is probably twice that you'd expect of an average age of a gamer. But, you know, as we grew up jumping over barrels and chomping dots and chasing ghosts and now we're having kids and we're still craving interactive entertainment. So there is something for everyone.
WHITFIELD: Wow. So almost the middle-ager crowd. All right.
SALTZMAN: That's right.
WHITFIELD: Mark Saltzman, thank you so much. Appreciate it.
SALTZMAN: Thanks, (Inaudible).

lol what.
Well, at least they vaguely recognized a few key points.
I wish people would just admit there is precedent to all this though. ME3 would not be the first Game, and definitely not the first story to have it's end changes based on fan feedback.

Uh.... ignorance much?
So they require an 'explanation' that gamers are mature adults? And they are 'surprised' by that?
"Oh my gosh"...? Seriously?
Actually I am very much offended by that conversation. Very.
Oh my bloody goodness you idiots!

As far as being the first, Bethesda already beat BioWare to it with Broken Steel XP
Either way, still not a very good news segment but at least it's getting the word out.... Still leery about it along with Fox News' report. last time they did a report on Mass Effect it did not go well.

What? That doesn't even make sense. If money is raised for a charity, then it's going to htat charity. I've seen plenty of charity drives that are done to raise awareness and whatnot.
