This is AMAZING!

I cannot for the life of me fathom how NO ONE at BioWare sat down, and took a few hours to create a similar flow chart detailing the choices and repercussions to both avoid MASSIVE plot holes AND create satisfying endings.

How do I know that no one at BioWare did that?

Because the "3" endings we got are absolute crap.

Whoever crafted this...I salute you. HOLD THE LINE!

This is the way it should be, though as the others said, the quarians are a bit too vital. Biggest fleet in the galaxy? Makes some sense..

Made by a fan only a week or so after US release, (or UK), this is great, it is very similar to what I expected it to be, as I stated in another thread. EMS/GaW would actually mean something more than a different colored ending.

This is good job. This is what I thought I was going to get.

Copies too much of the structure from ME2. EMS should be a more important variable than "Did you do A? If yes, outcome 1, if no, outcome 2".

So many orders of magnitude better than what appears to be on offer it's not even funny.

EDIT: Though i'm still hoping (largely in vain) that the indoctrination theory holds true.

My comments, as to not make "all paragon choices the right ones"

involve putting Jacks unit in attacking gets another one or two of your squadies killed, but putting them in defense saves those squaddies but gets jacks group killed.

I'm in favor of more places where we're put in the Virmire situation.  You would've thought at the end of all things we'd have to make the Virmire choice once again.

This would spice the final battle up nicely! :o

yeah, its good, its just very biased in a specific playstyle.

quarians = most important thing in the galaxy apparently lol
curing the genophage is about as effective as telling a group of kids to be support roles lol

but its still mostly well done.

I'll ask this again.

Why do you need quarians to make geth not indoctrinated by Reapers again?
And didn't Legion make sure that never happens again?

I think it would have been a good idea to have the game branch into entirely different scenarios. What if there were choices you could make that would allow you to halt the reapers from retaking the citadel but at the cost of fleet assets. What if the crucible failed and you had to enact a plan to go into stasis just like the protheans, what about an ending where the reapers win and the epilogue shows a new species in the next cycle unearthing some human, asari or prothean ruins.

The main reason bioware funneled everything into an ending was because game development limits story. If they had to partition off disc space and human resources to developing diverging scenarios then the game would be too short during one playthrough or the budget would have to be larger.
This problem was forseen back since mass effect 1.
In terms of choices carrying on over games 1, 2 and 3, mass effect was a "guinea pig" series

this is pretty cool, although i liked having the geth on my side ¬_¬

also there's room for a LOT more variables here, as already pointed out.

Post this in the stickied feedback thread here as well if you haven't already.

Send letters, or email, or both and here's the Facebook page address info all here.

There's a bioware group for Retake Mass Effect, join here.
