I have no interest in ever doing a playthrough with a same-sex romance. More power to those who do, but I don't swing that way.

I don't think I could stomach watching the Geth destroy the Quarian Migrant Fleet, even on YouTube. The thought of letting that happen actually makes me feel physically ill.

In all three games, paths are open to me that I have no intention of ever following. The fact that those options exist does not turn me off to playing the game altogether. This is a branching story, and everyone has their own goals, their own morals, their own expectations and perspectives.

The same principle rings true here. There are people who want a bittersweet ending for Shepard and his/her crew; who find it the most appropriate outcome for their narrative. I don't begrudge anyone for that, and I think those endings should be included. I just want the opportunity to earn something more, and I'm willing to work for it.

The fact that the narrative finds ways to accommodate so many of us is what makes this series so remarkable. There's no reason to throw that out in the last five minutes of the trilogy. We all want the endings to make more sense. But if they're all invariably depressing, it's going to hurt replay value. I would argue it already has.

My personal objections about the ending are motivated by the nonsensical elements that have been discussed ad infinitum on these forums.

Although I do feel that the ending was too sad, (I would have liked to see a little more hope intermingled with the sadness) that's a personal feeling. If they chose to end the series on an ultra dark note that made sense, I would have accepted it. I probably would have wished things had ended differently but I wouldn't have felt the lack of closure that I currently feel.

Like other people have said most people don't want a happy ending. We just want an ending that doesn't suck. I played the entire trilogy I want to at least have some sense of closure.

I like happy endings. It's sort of why I play games. To be the hero, and save the day.

I do not see a problem with wanting this.

I can simply watch the news or open a newspaper if I wish to depress myself with some tragedy.

I couldent agree more. The endings that are available are fine (besides the plot holes) if there 3 in a list of many other choices. I should be able to strive towards and ending where i get reunited with my squad and li and see my choices reflect in the galexy as a whole. not a cutscene with 3 different colors.

The ME3 ending was **** not because of the hopelessness, but because of the lack of: logic, choises, a  proper conclusion and a decent spacebattle scene.

Do many of you disagree? Would you accept this deus-ex monstrosity of an ending just if your shepard and his mates lived happily ever after? If so, shame on you. Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't mind it if a happy outcome was possible, if difficult to attain, but the lack of this is in no way the real issue.

Just felt I had 2 clear the air.

there are many many threads about this.... and many many threads stating that it was an indoctrinated dream.  so maybe the air isn't all the way clear for you.Image IPB

I would prefer a logical bad ending over what we have, or an illogical good ending.

But I would prefer unicorns and rainbows over a bad ending as long as both makes sense.
