Maybe they can't outright admit to making a major ****up of the ending, but if they did, and fixed it or patched it or whatever it is they can reasonably do to give us proper answers and closure, I'd have the utmost respect for the company.
So no, I wouldn't be outraged. I'd be thrilled, and I'd be thankful they actually listened. This is not the ending an otherwise incredible series of games deserved. They can do better than that, and they really should. It would be as much for themselves and their talent as for their fans.
So if they did release a new ending, wouldn't you be outraged?

Dear god no... it'd be like Christmas, I get to open up a new shiny present after my parents/wife gave me a gag gift of coal.

No. I could actually replay the game. As it stands now I will not replay ME3.

Yes, but I would be too busy replaying the game to complain about it and if it was good, i would be too happy to remember to be upset.

Keep the endings as they are.
They are fine and I'd be outraged, yes, if I had to pay for a new unfitting "mega happy ending" ( http://penny-arcade....omic/2012/03/16 ).
Especially if this new ending was considered canon.
On the other hand, some kind of epilogue, just to bring a bit of closure...

I'd only be outraged if it was really lazy and/or still sucked.

If the new ending (or endings--what happened to the 16 they bragged about...?) follows the lore and continuity of the saga from game one through the end, then I would be far from outraged, I would be overjoyed and would add them back as one of the only gaming companies that gets an instant launch day new game purchase from me).
That being said, just because many of us want a revised ending, not every player does. Some people really like how the game ended (I can't fathom why, but it's their story too, so it's okay for them to like it)...so I think it should not be a patched new ending. It should be an optional DLC, so the folks who like the ending as it is, don't have to have a new one forced on them.
Additionally, I understand why people want the revised ending as free DLC. I don't; I am more than willing to pay for it. It's possible that the writers honestly thought that the ending was truly creative and innovative and would inspire fans rather than arouse their ire. It's possible for an artist to be so close to the work and all the ideas that would be kinda neat, to actually become disconnected with what works for the lore. If they are willing to say "I hear you, and we will fix it and make it right according to our own continuity and lore" then I would absolutely pay for it. I've bought extended DVDs after owning an original movie, to get the extra scenes originally deleted before. This would be the roughly same thing in my opinion.
Now if they decided to make it an episodic ending, where there is more to play in DLC installments, like with what Final Fantasy XIII-2, and you work your way to the real, final ending through the playing of said DLC, then SHAME ON THEM! Not for doing it...I think it's an interesting model, but for not being open about it like Squaresoft has been. That would mean they created a whole lot of emotional turmoil for the sake of amusement...and that's sick.

I'd feel not only a sense of accomplishment, but pride in the movement, the gamers involved, and the charity's.
This would be a big win for consumers everywhere, and would show big time producers to respect there customers. To give them what they deserve. It would be...
Amazing. So I hope they release the DLC, and I hope it's awesome, so that I can say that I was part of the movement that changed video games forever.
