I believe the Asari has to die, ME2 give me the thought that letting her live was a tragic mistake to haunt us in the future, but the colonists, should they live or die? I usually let 1/2 survive, to get some renegade points from it, it plays out in ME2, meeting either the Asari or one of the colonists that need my help once more. Not that I think it's bad, after all, I don't care for being shot at, and have no issues killing those doing it.

Always try to save everyone so I can't help you, although I've accidentally killed one on one occasion and not been sure how I did it. But don't you need a certain number of colonists to survive in order for the colony to survive? And if the colony is abandoned will you get the side quest in ME2 at all? If I recall fewer colonists are needed if you let the Asari live or complete the side missions or persuade the Exo-Geni rep not to abandon the place but I can't recall the details.

I fear the Asari, as she is green, think she may be turning into a Thorian, you recall how they reproduce, what if she's carrying the gene?
Yeah, killed 6, saved 6, met one in ME2, did the same, yet let the Asari live in one, and met her instead, she was green and talked of experiencing nightmares and rashes. Curious if I killed them all, what would be the outcome, I'm working on it right now.

I guess you mean how the Asari rproduce as I can't remember anything about how the Thorian makes more Thorians, if indeed it does being supposdely unique. So it's possible I suppose, though there's no hint that the Asari had, er, that level of intimacy with the Thorian and wouldn't it mean pregnant with a little Thorisari or something rather than turning into a Thorian herself? But then all Asari offspring are always Asari, no matter what the 'father' is. Personally I think she was turned green because for no other reason than the writers wanted her to make a reappearance if she surivived and to be, unlike Rana Thanoptis, an unambiguously sympathetic character. So they made her green and stuffed up her biotics. But if you're right I don't think it's a big deal as the first Thorian didn't seem like a real threat when three people on foot could take it out without too much trouble with just small arms.Maples01 wrote...

Colony is abandoned, the quest in ME2 wasn't colony related, well, nothing to do with the planet, not sure if it's worth redoing, does the colony matter?

So nobody shows up on Ilium and you don't get the quest at all with grief stricken racist Asari medical rep woman, or you get the quest but it's different people from somewhere else asking for your help?
For ME3? No idea, not played. Maybe but I wouldn't expect so. If you do get the same side quest in ME2 but just not from Feros then it sounds like Feros doesn't really matter much for ME2, it's just there to make the player feel good that something they did in the first game has a noticable effect in the second. Could be wrong but I'd bet on more of the same for ME3 if Feros is even mentioned at all.Maples01 wrote...

Oh yeah, Ilium is there, just no colony on the planet, they abandoned it, I let the Asari live, so I'll be meeting her, she's there on the colonist behalf, if you kill her, the woman who gave you the gas is there asking for help, same deal. Glad to know, I wasn't able to redo the mission, evidently 6 isn't the magic number, but using biotics tent to get everyone in front of you killed, and I had no intention of being too selective. LoL
I did have to do 2 saves on the ship, to get a Liara and Ashley romance, I'll play Liara through, come back to do the butch chick later, I hate her attitude, but want to expand on all options.

If you save the colony (and Shiala) you get a couple of e-mails and war assets in ME3

Oh well, I saved 6 and the Asari, but it said the colony is lost, evidently not enough people, not gonna do it again, takes too long.

You get a bunch of war assets in ME3 should you go full paragon and let as many survive as possible.

As pissed as I am, I had to go back and start from where I picked up Liara, missed some stuff in my rush, I officially hate the mako now, it makes travel difficult, forgot how much I despised it until now. Always been a renegade player, it's gonna be tough being nice!
