 I just had a kid just deliberately block my shots repeatedly to the extent he followed me around the map just to stop me shooting anything. I sent him a message asking why and his reply was "You stole my kill!!". When I said it is a team game his reply was "but I like my badges."


Now I don't know about you but in the middle of a firefight ANY ENEMY IS A LEGITIMATE TARGET in my book. If it's alive it's a threat. This kid called "azarale" on the 360 thinks that anything he is shooting at should be his and his alone. In the end I just left because he just wouldn't stop grieving me.

Players like that make me

I dont cry about KS's but it is very annoying if im about to melee a near dead enemy with my krogan to build up my rage and some one just goes trololololo and shoot them as i headbutt them

I had that happen several times. I was on my Sentinel, and no one was ever anywhere near me or even cared about what I was doing...until I got the enemy low enough to one shot.

I never complain about kill "stealing." All of my characters are level 20 and I usually play adept or engineering and set others up for kills.

1. Find an elite or a cluster of enemies (preferably ranged, e.g. ravager, prime, atlas)
2. Draw their attention
3. Crouch behind cover and see if he still tries to block your shots
4. Either fire free from obstruction, or wait until he dies and then proceed as normal

I don't even consider this game to have kill stealing. On gold I just care about beating the wave. Gears is a ks game.

If somebody did that to me, I'd get setup, and act like I was gonna shoot stuff, then just let him do all the work.. and when he dies, then I kill enemies instead of reviving him.

If people want kills, they can just make a solo game. The badges and whatnot work all the same.

There're s***loads of such players in Gears of War 3. I play ME3 on PC and I've never encountered anyone whining about it. Idk how it's like on xbox.

Stupid thing was he was ignoring the enemy just to grief me... The shot where I KS the enemy was where he had an enemy that had got behind him on my screen. Dunno what it was like on his but I took it down due to it being a threat. This was on silver so any threat and I'm gonna shoot it if I see it.

Im usually the guy running around razzing people and doing support... Put it this way, if I was KS then why was I at the bottom of the scoreboard lol.

Me too! I'm a Vanguard and play with my friends; I don't think they care who does what. If you do anything involving a random group of people, there's a good chance that you'll run into petty twits like that guy the OP is talking about. It's kind of why I won't do PUGs in WoW (since I'm a raider and geared, it's a moot point - I don't HAVE to do random heroics because I have the best gear).

If ME3 multiplayer actually had anything competitive about it and there was an incentive for being "the best and most l33test player evar" I'd probably rage over those arrogant, pesky vanguards and people stealing my kills too.

The irony is that the people stealing all the kills the first few rounds can't seem to get a single kill the later rounds.

It is hard to have a kill steal in this multiplayer. It is a co-op MP, not competitive one where You go "ha I got more kills than You". To be honest, sometimes "kill-stealing" can save someone.

I've had people do that to me too. Not for the same reason but because they like to get in my way. I'm serious. I'll be sniping and someone will deliberately get in my way just to get more kills and prevent me from getting any. I have to reposition just to take shots and then it starts over again. someone getting in my way.

This is hilarious because the game goes out of its way to make sure you don't lose any points for not getting the kill. I'd rather have more points and less kills than more kills and less points. Wait, nevermind, I hate when I make sense.

Actually the more kills you get the higher the points you get and the more xp you get. The less kills you get the less points you get and the less xp you get and the slower it is to leveling up. I know I've ended up at the bottom of the screen when the mission finishes with the lowest xp amount in the mission end screen.

I had one game in the demo where a guy was very vocal in his complaining about my Krogan soldier stealing his kills. He kept talking about how the Avenger was the best gun in the game, and how he was usually on top of the score board so I had to stop stealing his kills.

The best part was that it was the Asari who was stealing all of the kills. I had a hard time getting my rage up.

Except everyone's score is added into a total, and then everyone gets that amount of EXP. Plus five percent if you have max galactic readiness.

Not true. Why? Because the medals you earn add to your overall XP. This is why the more kills you get the better your overall reward is. That is why the more kills the quicker you level up.
